Dr. Mowll himself seemed all right, with the little contact I had with him by e-mail, but his staff is terrible. After many e-mails back and forth and them offering me a discount on the consult if I could get MediCare to pay for my labs, they started stonewalling me the minute I sent them my lab results. I cannot get an answer from them at all now and I'm ready to proceed with the consult/evaluation. If there is something about my labs that makes me not a good fit for their practice, then why not tell me that and tell me which result it is that led them to that conclusion? If it's not that, I can't even guess why they are treating me this way. I would not recommend Dr. Mowll's practice. I just got the summary from Medicare and there a few tests they are not going to cover. I wouldn't have minded if I had been able to get the evaluation from Dr. Mowll. I paid for an individualized health/diet plan. I received only generic. Sweetwater staff was unprofessional and unfriendly. I never received promised master plan. I never received dietitian appointments. I did not received the individual diet plan. Only lots of bs, that's what was provided. This plan is a farce. read more

I signed up with "The Diabetic Coach", Dr. Brian Mowll on October 19th, 2015, and I paid a deposit of $399.00 towards his fee of $2,500.00. I spent 3 full days trying to get answers to my questions and concerns by phone and e-mails with no response. I called and cancelled his services on October 22nd, 2015, 3 days later. Dr. Mowll told me himself that I could cancel anytime in the first 30 days to get a refund. Now he tells me that the $399.00 deposit is not refundable. There is nothing about the deposit being "Non-refundable" on his web site, or his paperwork. It is now November 9th and Dr. Mowll says he needs to hold back at least $150.00, so he can pay his staff to "set up my file", and that it tales at least 30 days to "process" any refunds. His staff does not answer his office phone, or return phone calls. What kind of business doesn't answer their phone, (with 3 or 4 people working there), and they do not call you back when you leave a message? I called at 6:30 PM and a woman, JoAnne, answered, but we were "mysteriously" cut off for some reason (?) She did not call me back, but sent me an e-mail the next afternoon. They must be "very" busy! I received some paperwork from his office to fill out, that I had already filled out and sent in "before" I paid my deposit. The right hand doesn't know, or understand, what the left hand is doing in his office! I have received e-mails from 3 different people in Dr. Mowll's office in the last 30 days, but they are all so busy, they cannot answer the phone during the day! Be very careful dealing with Dr. Mowll, he has a habit of saying one thing to get your deposit money in hand, and then the story is completely different if you try to cancel. I've appreciated some of the information I've gotten from his site and the summits, and decided to purchase the download version of the 2019 Diabetes Summit. I was charged $79 and got a receipt, but never received the information needed to download the videos. I've emailed many times, including my receipt, but have heard absolutely nothing. Dr. Brian Mowll is amazing and his diabetes bootcamp rocks! I have been off diabetes medicines and lost 28 pounds solely by participating in this bootcamp and continuing to implement the steps I was given. I have no idea what these bad reviewers are talking about! I rarely provide reviews but this program was so helpful, not only to me but also my husband that I highly recommend it! I was unemployed but came up with the money to try this and honestly, it was worth every sacrifice to get this information. read more

I'm not sure what issues others have had, but the Diabetes Bootcamp has been amazing. My questions have been answered in the calls and on the Facebook page. I found it well worth the money. I have some underlying issues that need diagnosing and plan to schedule an in-person appt at the Wilmington location since it is only a half day's drive. I've gone to other functional doctors, and all i can say is you get what you pay for. You want a $25 copay with your insurance, you will get a doctor who is worth that price. Dr. Mowll did not help me at all. A friend and I start seeing him around the same time and neither one of us are happy with his service. He service was very expensive. I am still paying the bills and my medical problems are still with me. The cost didn't include any of the blood work and only some of the supplement. My health insurance has a very high deductible. For The price that I paid, everything should have been included. Never again. I would never recommend him to anyone. read more

I started working with Dr. Brian for diabetes coaching about four months ago. I had lost motivation, gained some weight, and my blood sugar and A1c was skyrocketing. I pretty much knew what to eat and what I was doing wrong, but needed some help to get back on track. I can't say enough about Dr. Brian and the other coaches that work with him. It has been amazing and it's worth every penny. He's helped me design my meal plans in a way that makes sense and that I can do, even when I'm busy and traveling. I have learned so much about diabetes and how to keep my blood sugar in a normal range. My endocrinologist and family doctor just kept pushing more and more drugs without helping me change anything. Now, I finally feel like now I'm doing the right thing and on track to be super healthy. read more
