After my brother passed on Fathers Day i had hospice nurse contact First Wisconsin Cremation…read more Fortunately i had done some research several days before and found that local funeral homes in mauston Wisconsin area were very expensive. I was literally stunned by their price. But First Wisconsin Cremation was so reasonable and they picked up his body in the time it took to drive from beloit to mauston (about 2 hours) (this is on Fathers Day which makes it even more surprising! They provided a free urn. Will transfer ashes to fancy urn anytime. They did the work to notify social security snd whoever else needed notice. They arranged for death certification and got death certificates. The women who picked my brother up were great. I had tried to get there before they got there so I could see my brother one last time before they took him away. I was coming from Milwaukee and I was at a Father's Day lunch at the time that I got notified that he passed. So I had to finish up and drive home first and then drive to Mauston so they beat me, not by much but they were kind and let me spend 1520 minutes whatever I needed to say goodbye to my brother. I thought they were exceptionally great and kind and supportive and even gave me a hug. I had to assist them to get the gurney into a tight space next to the hospital bed that Lonny was in at his girlfriend's house. I can honestly say without hesitation that First Wisconsin cremation is the way to go if you have a loved one that you need to have taken away after they pass and to have them cremated. I was able to do the paperwork online a few days before he passed, which made it very simple and easy when he actually did pass. So save yourself some money and use First constant cremation instead of paying some ridiculous fee to a local funeral home. For his celebration of life, we are having it at a local restaurant/hotel. The room rental was $100 but since he was a local, they are waiving the room fee. We are having them provide some food for the people who come, but it would be way more expensive to do this at a funeral home.

They move 3 family members in front of first row completely blocking father, stepmother ( of 40 years ) eldest brother (wife) because they had no idea what to do. I had one member of staff actually ask me to give the family peace to mourn. I am the father that was my son that died and it was my surviving twin son that I was going to to console. At the funeral none of the family except the mother, surviving twin son and widow of my son that died were even offered seating under the tent we all stood out side. That is ( father, stepmother, eldest son (wife), youngest son (wife, son), daughter (husband). When my wife and daughter questioned about flowers we were lied to, The staff member said they would be donated to assisted care they both offered to do so were told no need. On Nov. 5th we all met at grave site to find the flowers my wife and I bought and the flowers that the brothers and sister bought in the dirt at the grave.
