He understood the vibe we were trying to create and he added his own special signature. We added a DJ to our event at the last minute, and Chris was able to accommodate our time slot, in such short notice. He was quick to set up and was on time. He listens to his clients and I've worked with DJ's in past that want to make it their own event and not listen to your requests. It was refreshing to work with a DJ that really made the effort to make it about his client. I hope to use Chris again for events whenever in NY.

Chris DJ'ed our wedding at Brooklyn Loft and basically, he just ABSOLUTELY FREAKING KILLED IT. When…read morewe met with him to chat about our wedding, we told him a bit about the type of music we each like, the vibe of the wedding, etc and he totally got it. A few weeks before the wedding, we set him three Spotify lists that he mentioned are helpful for him to have: Must Plays, Music We Like, Definitely Do Not Play. The dance floor was jam-packed all night, and we kept hearing rave reviews from everyone about how awesome the music was. Everything flowed perfectly, and he played something to suit the various age ranges that we had. A few people even came up to me that night and said that they'd never danced that much at a wedding ever! If you want people up and shaking their booties all night, then Chris is the perfect DJ for you! :)

DJ Joe was friendly and accommodating from the moment we met him. He asked us for suggestions for…read moresongs that we knew would get our party dancing, and he knew what to do with the list. Once he got going, he read the crowd so well that the dance floor was almost always full. Of course, the kitchen needs to stay on a schedule, but as the bride, I was delighted just to see everyone having fun. DJ Joe's not your typical young DJ but he's a good listener and has a LOT of experience, which I found invaluable. He's also so affordable compared to a lot of others I checked out in NYC. I still get compliments on how fun the reception was. -VW

He was recommended to us by trusted friends, and was the consummate professional from day one. He anticipated our every need and was impressivdely proactive with all pre-wedding communications and decisions. We respected that he had his own sensibilities and (tasteful) opinions, and kept us from making some dumb decisions while also being highly flexible with some of our quirkier choices. From the processionals to the incredible dance party to the cake he was seamless, integrating all of our request perfectly and doing some really sick mashups and transitions. Ben's take-charge attitude and considerable experience was a value add: he gracefully coordinated all of the evening's events with restaurant staff, our party coordinator, and the venue owner. We couldn't be happier. As with other reviewers here, our friends and family were singing his praises throughout the night, with many saying it was the best party ever. Book him...book him NOW (seriously, he books quick).

When we struggled to find songs to fit certain moments, he quickly whipped up a playlist that made those tense few days before the wedding much easier. He deftly handled a non traditional ceremony, and gave us the best introduction for our first dance we could ever ask more. As for the event itself, Ben read the room perfectly getting everyone ages 10 to 92 on the dance floor and keeping them there. Easily our favorite vendor. And after several guests complimented us for the music we played (and so many sick mashups). Book Ben!

His commitment to making the event right for us was apparent from the beginning when he agreed to meet with us at our local coffee shop in the city nowhere near his office or our wedding venue. Once we sat down and got to chatting it quickly became apparent that he would put our tastes first and seamlessly pair it with his skill at running an exciting wedding. We talked about our desires for live musicians for the ceremony, the look of the DJ setup, uplighting and a photo booth all of which ROTN was able to arrange, and at a great deal less than if we tried to organize each on our own. ROTN's template was so much help for choosing appropriate songs for the ceremony, introductions and parent dances as well as how to convey our style of music into guidelines for their DJ. In our final meeting a week before the wedding we covered the step by step details, including our first dance song combo, and all the other little timing things to make sure the day of our wedding was flawless. He and his team were setup before we even arrived, looked exceptionally presentable, and were friendly the entire night. We could not have been happier with the unmatched level of service ROTN provides. It's clear that for Scott going above and beyond is business as usual.
