The roof leaked from day one, and the patches that 'fixed it" are failing - we have major leaks in 4 areas now and their flashing is popping off the chimney. The spackling they applied before painting is falling off walls and ceilings in chunks. I am still (this was done summer of 2018) finding paint on wooden antiques and fixtures and CARS. Painters who can't keep paint splashes off the furniture? Roofers who can't fix a leaky roof? But the worst part? They don't return calls or emails. So much for standing by the 10 year workmanship warranty. Do not use this company - or if you do, be prepared to take legal action.

I really appreciated Emmanuel's quick response and flexibility in establishing a schedule. Throughout, Emmanuel was accommodating and willing to take on new and unexpected work. Atlantic Bay Consulting put staples in my living room ceiling without asking, but Emmanuel took it in stride and repaired the damage. Emmanuel and his crew worked swiftly and efficiently to hang new drywall and paint the HVAC closet. This was pretty amazing because there were several electrical cables they had to work around and route to the right places for the HVAC and water heater. BDL Heating & Cooling ripped up the back wall of the new closet pretty badly because they didn't know what they were doing while installing the HVAC unit. I really appreciated Emmanuel's willingness to come back and quickly repair the damage. In March a good friend of mine called me up and said that he found a good painter for me for the…read moreright price. He also recommended that I would do it right away. I called Josh and talked to him about my house that is huge and old; as I told him, I needed to repair the windows before the paint job could be completed. Josh said that he knew a carpenter who could do the windows and would paint the house after the repairs were done. As it turned out, I needed to get 27 windows fixed. So I had a bargain, a good carpenter who was ready to go up three stories to get my windows on the top floor and a painter who was going to paint my three-decker. Eventually, J&J came after all the repairs were completed and painted my house in 10 days. They were extremely efficient, professional, and pleasant to deal with. They answered my concerns by scraping, sanding, and caulking all surfaces. They used primer and good paint. Some of my neighbors came over to Josh to ask him whether he could paint their houses too. There was no drama, no mess. They told me in advance to inform other residents not to use the common area for a day or two. I definitely hope to hire them for inside jobs and recommend them for outside painting.

The collaboration started great, however, it deteriorated very quickly, once the work started…read more First, they did not meet their time that was mentioned in the contract. The painters were great, but the biggest issue was the project manager. He came multiple times unprepared, so I had to always remind them what needed to be done. Per his comment, he accepted 3 clients at the same time, so he was conflicted most of the time. Although we talked multiple times before the work had started about what needs to be done, and he took notes, the work was performed on a reactive basis, and not proactive. He brought back the kitchen cabinet doors and started installing them with old hinges, although I told him multiple times that I had purchased a box of new hinges to be replaced. Furthermore, the doors had no additional holes for handles, although I was charged additionally $110 for extra holes that I requested. So, he had to take them back and drill them. The next day he would come and reinstall them again, and now the old holes weren't patched. So, they patched them when the doors were already installed. Because the doors were painted with gun paint, and the patches were painted with a brush, those holes are very visible so basically the doors are all messed up. If the work was properly done as agreed before, the hole patching had to be done before the doors were painted. Furthermore, the quality check is zero: almost every single door had an issue. Either it was wrongly installed and it was hitting the wall, or it was hitting another door. Or it wasn't even, or the handles were uneven. And, with every single thing that I would ask to be fixed, he would reply that the kitchen was like that to begin with. Nope, that's not the case. Finally, he installed 3 light fixtures and one of them was not properly installed. I started insisting on him to fix it and he continuously refused. So, I told him that I will not pay for it as it's not properly installed. He got extremely rude and started threatening me. Therefore, I mentioned that I won't pay a cent until the work is properly completed. That escalated very quickly and he wanted to take the cabinets doors out, starting calling police and threatening me with a house lien. That was not a pleasant experience. Very unprofessional and relatively poor quality of work. I had to check every single inch to make sure that it was done, when that was his job to ensure a great quality of work, per the contract. Very disappointed and do not recommend it.
