Mr. Stein's involvement began through my sister's boyfriend, whom she had known for only three months, having met him in rehab. My sister has a history of alcohol abuse, has lost custody of her children, and has a limited work history, with approximately one year of employment across three jobs in her 41 years. Currently, she and her boyfriend reside in my father's home without paying rent. My sister and her boyfriend have numerous DWIs, and she is currently on probation. Several concerns have arisen regarding Mr. Stein's actions. He drafted a new will for my father that disinherited his other children, a decision made despite my sister's known issues. Even more concerning is that Mr. Stein named my sister's boyfriend as my father's healthcare proxy, particularly given that my father had previously obtained a restraining order against this individual. There are also financial concerns, including that my sister "has been draining" my father's bank account. Adding to these concerns, funds from my father are being used to pay Mr. Stein to represent my sister and her boyfriend in criminal defense matters. He allegedly told my sister to look for additional money that he claimed my father had hidden elsewhere. Mr. Stein is attempting to have me evicted from my home of 18 years, a property I believed was to be mine. Mr. Stein told me he drives past my house. He also contacted the town about me, harassed me, and attended my bankruptcy hearing. He also got my sister's name on the deed to my house that I have lived in for 18 years and which I have put money into, since this home was going to be put in my name. According to my sister, Peter Stein has expressed hatred towards me, which is perplexing given that he has never met me. My father has stated that he told Mr. Stein he did not want me evicted and that he feels his wishes are not being respected. This statement was made on March 2, 2025. My assessment of Peter Stein's conduct, based on my direct experience and my father's statements, is that it raises serious concerns about his professional judgment and ethics. I believe his actions have not been in my father's best interest. The decision to appoint my sister's boyfriend, against whom my father sought a restraining order, as healthcare proxy is particularly alarming and suggests a severe lapse in judgment. Furthermore, the use of my father's funds to pay for my sister and her boyfriend's criminal defense, especially given her limited income, her numerous DWIs, and her current probation status, and the fact that she and her boyfriend live rent-free in my father's house, raises significant ethical questions.

My experience with Dan Gobetz could not have been worse!…read more At the time of sale, he never shared with me the evidence that the sellers had met the contingencies and it was not until after the paperwork was signed at the close that the sellers themselves asked me "do you want this documentation" - which in fact were not sufficient! After some discussion there was an agreement made about what they still needed to do - which Gobetz didn't document, thus ensued many weeks of haggling. This cost me time, money and aggravation. But it was only when I sold the property a couple of years later that I learned how poorly i was served. I'm not a lawyer, but several people who are and were familiar with the situation described it as "amazing" and used words like "incompetent" and "malpractice". Basically, it turns out he let me buy a house without informing me that it did not have a certificate of occupancy and with 2 open building permits! Evidently, its typical for the seller to be responsible for providing this but that standard clause in the contract of sale was omitted and Gobetz did not provide me with the information for me to decide if I was willing to take the premises without the Seller providing same. Consequently, when I sold the property the close was delayed for weeks and I had to spend thousands of dollars to close the permits and get the certificate of occupancy - stuff the former seller would have done if I'd had appropriate legal counsel. Bottom line... I will never use him again and wish you luck if you do!
