I called John the other day explaining that received a hearing date for an unregistered vehicle…read morethat I couldn't be at because I would be out of the country and the letter didn't explain or offer how to reschedule. The original fine was about $300 in October, which I returned, checked off stating I was going to contest it, hoping I could get reduced fine. Now the fine was up to $955 for my August court date. 10 months and $700 of interest! WTF! John told me that I could NOT go there anytime I wanted to fight the ticket, but he could becaues he is a LAWYER. He said he would be in there for an hour and it would cost $450 for his services but would do it for $350. Thanks John. I call Dennis B. O'Sullivan of New York Ticket Defense. http://nyticketdefense.com/index.html He only wanted to charge me $100, because it was simple and because he would already be there it would only take about 10 minutes of his time. And he said the fine should be around $80, so about $180 total. Dennis also told me I could just walk into the Suffolk County Hauppauge traffic court office any day take care of it before I leave the country next week. This is exactly what I did and I only paid a $85 fine!!!! So don't trust THE SNAKE IN THE SUIT that goes by the name of John Caffrey. Do yourself a favor and visit an HONEST lawyer Dennis B. Sullivan's! Again here is his website: http://nyticketdefense.com/index.html

Stein & Stein Law Firm

My father, Wade Hoover, retained Peter Stein as his lawyer. My experience with Mr. Stein has been…read moredeeply concerning. Mr. Stein's involvement began through my sister's boyfriend, whom she had known for only three months, having met him in rehab. My sister has a history of alcohol abuse, has lost custody of her children, and has a limited work history, with approximately one year of employment across three jobs in her 41 years. Currently, she and her boyfriend reside in my father's home without paying rent. My sister and her boyfriend have numerous DWIs, and she is currently on probation. Several concerns have arisen regarding Mr. Stein's actions. He drafted a new will for my father that disinherited his other children, a decision made despite my sister's known issues. Even more concerning is that Mr. Stein named my sister's boyfriend as my father's healthcare proxy, particularly given that my father had previously obtained a restraining order against this individual. There are also financial concerns, including that my sister "has been draining" my father's bank account. Adding to these concerns, funds from my father are being used to pay Mr. Stein to represent my sister and her boyfriend in criminal defense matters. He allegedly told my sister to look for additional money that he claimed my father had hidden elsewhere. Mr. Stein is attempting to have me evicted from my home of 18 years, a property I believed was to be mine. Mr. Stein told me he drives past my house. He also contacted the town about me, harassed me, and attended my bankruptcy hearing. He also got my sister's name on the deed to my house that I have lived in for 18 years and which I have put money into, since this home was going to be put in my name. According to my sister, Peter Stein has expressed hatred towards me, which is perplexing given that he has never met me. My father has stated that he told Mr. Stein he did not want me evicted and that he feels his wishes are not being respected. This statement was made on March 2, 2025. My assessment of Peter Stein's conduct, based on my direct experience and my father's statements, is that it raises serious concerns about his professional judgment and ethics. I believe his actions have not been in my father's best interest. The decision to appoint my sister's boyfriend, against whom my father sought a restraining order, as healthcare proxy is particularly alarming and suggests a severe lapse in judgment. Furthermore, the use of my father's funds to pay for my sister and her boyfriend's criminal defense, especially given her limited income, her numerous DWIs, and her current probation status, and the fact that she and her boyfriend live rent-free in my father's house, raises significant ethical questions.

A friend of mine recommended me Mr.Stein a year ago and he took care of my traffic tickets…read moreperfectly, prompt answers and detailed explanations. Highly recommended!
