The animal fries (fries with thousand island dressing and melted cheese) are excellent, if rather rich and heavy. Coming to the burgers themselves, the bite offers a fixed (rather limited) menu, with one limited, specialty burger. Meat is tasty, juicy, grilled to order, the bacon is thick cut and delicious. My personal recommendation is the Manchego burger, served with manchego cheese (duh!) and a delicious romesco sauce, this burger is to die for!

The skins were left on the fries, which added to the texture and appearance. We washed down our food with an Appenzell iisfee, a light, refreshing drink with a hint of green tea extract. We hung out there for over 2 hours, and they never kicked us out, which was nice. More people kept coming in--some alone, others in pairs.
