AMEN! My previous podiatrist wasn't able to help me nearly as much, and he actually removed my shoes and socks and placed them back on and that really was a big improvement because the assistant at my previous doc had some issues with "motivation?" This assistant/nurse was extremely nice and helpful and my entire experience was so much better! Thank you Dr. Michael Maskill and great staff!

I was a patient here for about 4 years before moving, primarily seeing Patty Zull FNP. I was always…read morevery impressed by their professionalism and kindness. I was nervous coming in for my first exam and then subsequent minor procedures, but everyone made me feel comfortable. I was impressed that I never felt pressured regarding my life choices, which often can happen around other women and/or in conservative areas. I was particularly impressed on two separate occasions there-- once, I had a minor procedure which made me very nervous and I ended up having a bad reaction and sort of fainted. The staff was extremely kind and concerned, giving me water and juice, making an embarrassing situation much better. Another time that I happened to be there for an appointment, there was a car accident directly in front of the office, which happened to involve a pregnant patient. I watched it happen and then watched the staff jump into action, calling for help, assisting the drivers and the child, making sure everything was okay. All during this time, they continued to serve myself and the other patients as well. If I didn't move too far away, I'd absolutely continue seeing this provider.

The speculum was *agony* and I'm shaking in pain, even with Advil and a high pain tolerance. She then pauses and says she used the standard size "so she could see better." She moves on to collect the sample, saying it's just "discomfort." I felt so violated I went back to my car and cried. She lied to make a simple procedure easier on herself, causing her patient pain that didn't need to be there.

I'm finding this out 3 years after the surgery and 3 years of complications of high blood sugar. The only thing they checked was my thyroid. This is the kind of place where you have to request what you need and it takes multiple appointments to accomplish anything with your health. They won't run the necessary testing. You have to be your own advocate. They just want you to keep coming back to pay. I also scheduled a yearly check up because I know that I get one free each year and they didn't even enter it as a yearly check up so I was forced to pay for the appointment out of pocket. They also charged it as an initial appointment when I've been going there for more than 3 years.

I have found Dr. Todd L. Ream, MD, to be an outstanding orthopedic surgeon. After suffering with…read moreprogressively worse knee pain, I did exhaustive online research and called his office. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I was able to schedule an appointment. After reviewing the diagnostic tests, examining my knee, reviewing my medical history, and interviewing me, Dr. Ream announced that I was a good candidate for partial instead of complete knee replacement. He explained that I had the choice of either and explained the benefits and disadvantages of each. I elected the partial knee procedure and Dr. Ream performed the surgery nearly a year ago. He and his staff thoroughly prepared me for the procedure, took appropriate precautions due to my existing heart conditions, explained well what I should expect after the surgery, and provided me with instructions for self-administered physical therapy. Dr. Ream is personable, competent, and willing to invest whatever time is necessary to answer any questions. His staff reflects the same characteristics. Almost a year after my surgery, I am pain-free, have full range of motion, and could not be more satisfied. For those persons in Southwest Michigan needing an outstanding orthopedic surgeon, I highly recommend Dr. Todd Ream.

We…read morehappened upon him by chance just by picking his name out of the phone book (remember phone books?). I have since recommended him to about ten friends, all of whom rave about him (even the ones who were skeptic about chiropractic!). He is caring, committed, professional, and works long hours so his patients can get the care they need (and will even come see you after hours if it's an emergency!) he can diagnose what is hurting you and what type of adjustments you need just by looking at your posture (whether you're sitting, lying down, or standing). I saw him throughout all three of my pregnancies, which helped tremendously. I have taken my own children to him, and my husband is also a patient. He can fit you in for same-day appointments and is very flexible with cancellations. The only "problem" has nothing to do with the top-notch care I've received, it's more to do with the ambiance of the office. Dr. Tony is deeply Christian (I am not), and the office is decorated with Christian decor (wallpaper, plaques, etc.) and there is conservative Christian radio playing on the speakers. While I can ignore all that and focus on the wonderful care Tony provides (and his decor does all the evangelism for him; his conversations with me are 100% professional), some people may be uncomfortable with that.

I don't usually leave reviews, but my experience at Oak Lawn Express Care was honestly really…read moreuncomfortable and concerning. When I arrived, I was the only patient there, yet everything still felt extremely disorganized and slow. What stood out the most was how confusing the check-in process was. The front desk staff asked me to spell very simple words (like "circle"), and there seemed to be a lot of confusion over basic information. It made the whole interaction feel awkward and unprofessional, and it actually heightened my anxiety to the point where I started stuttering while trying to answer questions. When I was finally seen, the experience didn't improve much. The nurse practitioner seemed genuinely confused about my medication allergies. Even after I clearly explained my reactions and history, she still appeared unsure and kind of just blanked out instead of addressing it confidently. That was honestly the most concerning part, because I didn't feel safe or reassured discussing my health. Overall, the experience felt disorganized, uncomfortable, and lacking in clear communication. I understand that mistakes happen, but in a healthcare setting, especially when discussing allergies and medical history, there needs to be more confidence, clarity, and professionalism. I left feeling more anxious than when I walked in, which shouldn't be the case after a medical visit.
