Good food and nice atmosphere but the service was poor. Brought the wrong drink (replaced when asked) and totally forgot to put the order in the kitchen. Finally got the wings and had to go to the bar to get silverware and ask for the blue cheese which was forgotten. Mgr told us the pizza was burned and they had to redo the order but the waiter said he forgot to put the order in. Mgr did bring us fries and gave us a 10% discount for the wait. The last time I visited we went in on a weekday afternoon, looking for lunch with our beers. We, my husband and I, had the place almost to ourselves save a couple workers coming for their lunch break, finding shelter from the spitting rain outside. They had a pizza deal, buy one get one free, for the earlier afternoon lunch hours on the weekdays, so we took them up on that. There was just one guy slinging beers and pizza, so the pizza took a while to come out (he had to make them to order and then cook them). But it was nice to sip our cold beers while waiting. The pizza was super tasty! We got two different kinds and really enjoyed them both. Good texture, flavor, and obviously fresh. We took our time eating and drinking, as we had our 4 month old son with us, and the booths were spacious and comfy so it was nice to just relax and take a break from our day. They have a variety of beers, so you'll most likely find something you like, a lot are hoppier than I prefer. But I enjoyed my 5am Saint, which is a nice, malty red ale. Cheers! read more

Sooo many reasons I like this place! 1. I wanted a COLD beer after walking my feet off for 3 hrs. Wandered in here and got it. 2. The beer. I sampled 3 drafts at first, all delicious, and ended up going with the Punk IPA. Why is this news? I *never* like IPAs. Never. This one is DELICIOUS. 3. The bar tenders. Love these guys all tatted out, crazy beards, but crazy about beer! They would get along great with the Dogfish Head brewers :-) I drink almost exclusively craft beer in the States. I love what people are doing with beers, enhancing flavors, combining unique flavors. Brew Dog does that. Definitely will be back. Oh, and the place itself is really pleasant as well. The original that kick started world domination. There are two BrewDog bars in Aberdeen and hopefully I will visit both today. My visit to Aberdeen was brief but I wanted to make sure I made the pilgrimage. Food was not on yet so I ordered myself a refreshing pint of Ace Of Simcoe which turns out to be an ideal choice for lunch crisp and refreshing. It was quiet obviously for Tuesday but still had a great feel with good rock tunes playing. If you love craft beer you definately have to make the effort to visit BrewDog in its homeland. read more

Great beer and Great guys, BrewDog's home bar and their Flagship. They get some sample brews you won't get to try anywhere else. They keep a great selection of house beers from the core range and occasional brews. They always have a great choice of guest beers from all over the world and they can really make you mouth water. The staff and the regulars are all awesome and really know their stuff. You can also benefit from getting most of the brewery team visiting and drinking on an evening. This can mean you get to know a lot more about the beer than you might have expected. Please don't get stuck up on price, look at the strength of the beers this is why they are served as 2/3 1/2 or even 1/3 of a pint, It also adds up when you think of how much of normal strength beer you would get for the same price. If you get stuck on your choice just ask. There is a constantly changing choice of bottles in their fridges which means you'll never get stuck. They also stock some of the best soft drinks I have ever tasted all bottled so they taste great. It is almost worth missing a round of beer to try them. The only down sides are the size, although any bigger it might loose the atmosphere, and the lack of hot foods although that is down to the size of the place. Go in, drink and enjoy. read more

Move forward three decades and the grip that multinationals have on the way we live is even worse than it was back then. Especially in the world of Beer. We are sold this ancient beverage on the basis that it will make us funny, interesting or attractive to the opposite sex. Anything to keep us from actually tasting it and finding out how god awful it is. Brew Dog have set themselves as the standard bearers of Scottish Craft Brewing. Taking on all comers, including the brewing industry, the media and the Parliament, they have raise the banner of Real Beer and shaken the concept of what you should expect from your pint glass. This is the flagship bar for the Brew Dog boys. It allows them to get their products brewed in Fraserburgh to the public quickly. Walk in to the place and you would think you are in a New York Craft Brewery pub. All of the industrial and utilitarian styling of a fashionable Manhattan Bistro with Beer being the dominant theme. It shows that while this is beer we are talking about, it is not an old man pub that is serving it. Serving their own beers in draught and a wide selection of the best in bottled ales (such as Stone, Three Floyd's, Mikkeller, Struise, Nogne O, Alesmith, The Bruery, and De Dolle). This place is a must visit for any beer-lover. Break the rules, drop that glass of fizzy pissy lager and demand better. Then get your butt in here. read more

What is it you're looking for? If it's pounds of value for flavour, this is where it's at. Brewdog will stick more of everything into a beer than you can imagine. The staff are friendly and passionate about what they do. This is not, however, a Scottish pub. Think more along the lines of an American -style microbrewery, hops and all. Cold, fizzy, packed with flavour, and served in sizes other than pint - typically to match what you drink. Don't think "jeesus, £3.50 for a half?"; rather, note that it's a half at 9.1%, and drink it slowly and savour the bloody thing. Then get blasted drunk anyway 'cos it's all so good. read more

Oh dear, it seems Yelp are removing reviews?? Where has mine gone?? I did write that this place is slightly unclean and one wonders how bad it'll get. The decor is grungy and industrial but no excuse for cleanliness. Great wee place for something a bit different and away from all the neds and beautiful people up town, a few do wander in at night but soon leave as the atmosphere is pretty chilled even at night. It's all about their own real ale here. You've maybe seen their bottles in Tesco and the like by now. If your after a regular drink go elsewhere IE Woodford Reserve rather than Jack D. Not a huge fan of their ales but I enjoy poppin in for a pint of their 77. If you feel brave there are very very strong beers to be had but at a price. Not tried the grub but heard good things. Beer for Punks?? I've never seen one which was a shame, an Iron Maiden roadie was present though. read more

From our trip in mid July, 2016: My wife and I found this wonderful craft brewer in Aberdeen! Of all the brews that we had been enjoying in the UK, Brewdog was the best! They have a wide selection of brews that have body and character to them and they even have a great gluten free beer! (Their Vagabond Pale Ale) There are very few gluten free beers that I feel are worth writing home about, and this is one of them! (On par with Omission!) I also tried their King Pin and their Jack Hammer brews. Both were delicious! The pub is fun and while it is a smaller venue, it has plenty of space and seating. The draft menus are easy to see and read and our bartender was friendly and helpful. They have some cool merchandise that follows the themes of their logos. (Bright, colorful, dark - reminds me of Tim Burton or Neil Gaiman) They also have cool looking "beer propaganda" that they market their brews and share local brew news with. They also appear to be pet friendly since we saw a dog there when we attended. The prices were on par with what I would expect for this quality of craft brewing, which might be more than what you would expect to pay for a standard pub brew. I am excited to hear that Brewdog has made it over into the States! I look forward to seeing them branch out further to the East Coast. read more

Not a beer drinker, but they have a wise selection of fizzy drinks to choose from. The atmosphere is quite nice. The industrial design that many bars nowadays sport is not particularly refreshing, but it works. Most of nights they have live music, but due to the size of the place it can be really annoying due to volume issues. From what I gather from my friends, beer is good and not that expensive. read more

It would seem that the show depicted the pubs as serving actual food vs. cheese and meat platters.
