Over all, prices are at the top end of food and drink prices but then again it is Bieldside and if people pay the prices then it's got some worth in it. Illicit Still is definitely not trying to be anything it isn't, and it isn't calling to a flashy or young audience, but if you're in Aberdeen and looking for an authentic British pub experience, you'll enjoy it here. The location, across from the townhouse was very convenient to where I used to live on Schoolhill, and it's easy to get to from anywhere in the city centre. With the recent construction and changes to and around Broad St, the pub is even more visible and might get higher traffic. Now that I've said that, I'm curious if it is! Definitely worth a revisit!

For instance, haggis is on the app menu, but not the paper menu. - If you want to expedite the visit, order ALL your dishes together and do NOT mark your starters to come early. From start to finish and ordering a starter, main, and dessert, our visit took nearly 3 hours. I ended up canceling and being refunded the dessert because it took too long. As for the meal, my fish in the fish & chips was overcooked and oily, and that tasted dominated the entire dish. The haloumi was fine, but the crispy batter took away from the flavor of the cheese.
