At around 9:00 we were told that we were being cut off (no more service). So I asked the management: Had we been rude? No. Had we upset other customers? No. Were any of our party of four staggering around and overly intoxicated? No. So why were we cut off? "We have a duty of care - company rules". Ok. Understood. But what duty of care is required for people who are not overly intoxicated? "It's just the rules. Thanks for your custom. See you soon". No you won't, Prince of Wales. After 40-50 years, we won't be back. This is a sad day.

So I decided to have a pint before I go to dinner. I ordered my Guinness and was asked if I wanted to have a regular or extra chilled. First time I have been asked this question. Of course in my head extra chilled. I then asked the guy next to me how to get to Union square and we started chatting. Matt from Georgia works at this bar on his day off and we had a great time chatting. He is studying Scottish medieval wars. If you happen to be in this bar and happen to see him please say hello from Lenny from California. He might not remember me but you will definitely be charmed by Matt and the rest of the crew from this bar. I am glad that as a single American woman traveling on her own I felt welcomed and had a really good experience at this place. Glad I stopped.

The food is excellent and you won't find a happier room of staff that are more than willing to help you with every need. The food itself is excellent and it is also quite cheap. There is also a range of drinks you can choose from and these too are reasonably priced. This is not one of those places that will push you out of the door as soon as you've finished either. 9 out of 10
