Reservations are recommended since this place is pretty much always packed. One thing, if you are trying to find a parking spot do not and I say again DO NOT park your car opposite the restaurant on the square, why you ask?? Remember the Hitchcock movie The birds, well these birds will let you know who is in charge and leave a nasty surprise for you. I thought to myself no way that many birds were above the car in the trees and we must be the subject of a cruel prank but we were not the only cars covered and it explains why these parking spots were open. It was so bad you will consider burning the car on your return from dinner and the smell OMG! Luckily I found the one BP car wash open in the middle of the night in Pahiatua to wash the car. Overall one of the best pizzas in Palmy just choose your parking spot carefully.

At Alessandro's they have a calzone that's pretty solid, and unfortunately they don't automatically give you a side of marinara with it, but if you just order it separately believe me, that alone will more than make up for the oversight. Alessandro's marinara was stop-your-heart delicious. My wife was really enjoying her pizza as well obvs. The service was pretty great too, but seriously ... those pizzas. If you go to Havelock you HAVE to go to Alessandro's. I think I'll try the pasta next time.

My buddy and I were the only ones there so by the end of our experience, I was ready for more! There are only a couple of outdoor tables close to the restaurant so I recommend taking this to go if it's cold outside. I was a bit on the cold side and it was early spring when I came here.
