Equinox is a flavorful amber ale and the menu recommends pairing with a heap of bacon lol. White Mamba, a pale stout, was to me the most unique and had a smoky coffee aftertaste. The bar has two floors (I stayed at the first floor bar) and is nice and airy with its tall ceilings. Has a nice craft beer hall vibe. Would love to come back!

Their beer variants are Tropic Haze, Sunstoked, Bliss Point, Midnight Blur, and (the newest) Drop Zone. My favorites are the Tropical Haze and Bliss Point. Tropical Haze is a wheat beer but it is quite fruity. Bliss Points tastes like hazelnut beer (I'm not kidding!). I've tried pairing Bliss Point with desserts and it was amazeballs! It's a smaller brewery and they brew the beer on-site (upstairs). All of the beer was really good - we did two flights so we could try them all. They have a great variety and all of them are slightly on the lighter side (even the porter) which is so fitting considering the hot and always humid weather. We had the pleasure of meeting the brewmaster too! They gave us a map of the area, Poblacion, because it's up and coming and the locals have been working on boosting small businesses. The map lists a bunch of other awesome bars and restaurants within walking distance. We will definitely be back next time we come to the Philippines!

Ginger beer is actually brewed and fermented while ginger ale is a carbonated beverage made from water and ginger. Ginger beer often has much more of a "gingery" flavor and because it is fermented, is less carbonated. So, when I first tried Stanford Shaw's Ginger Ale, I was very surprised at how strong the ginger flavor was! Later on, as I saw their stall in more weekend markets, I found out that the owners (who are brothers) use raw ginger and lemon and they ferment their ginger ale. So, does it make their product a Ginger Beer? Honestly, whether it is a beer or ale, it's a very refreshing drink! Best served chilled, it is the perfect drink to anything grilled, fried, and roasted. Actually, since Carlo doesn't drink, he usually orders this if a restaurant has it. The spiciness of the ginger goes well with meat dishes! I like it because I get to mix drinks with it like... Moscow Mule! Stanford Shaw's Ginger Ale comes in 2 sizes: 600ml and 320ml. So we read on few blogs, found out about Global Beer Exchange and decided its the way to go. Global Beer Exchange is a beer disneyland. I'm pretty sure it's going to be a delight for beer aficionados and enthusiasts. Belgian, North American, Japanese & Californian beers can be tasted here. They even have beers on draft. They also carry Katipunan craft ales, a local brand, like their Dear Fred and Indio. There's so many that we asked the staff to give suggestions on what to drink. In all fairness to them, they know what they're selling. And the best thing is that its not even crowded in here. It's perfect for a night of chilling and conversation with friends. :) P.S. Lucky for us, Global Beer Exchange is probably just 5 minutes away from everyone's home. See, the best thing about Magallanes is probably that it's right in the middle from everyone. Yes, Quezon City is quite far, but South people (at least my friends from the south) usually won't go past the Fort area. And a few don't want to meet in Fort, especially on weekends, because parking is difficult and every club and bar is jam packed with yuppies and younglings. Global Beer Exchange may have beers that would cost you 700 pesos, but you just need to look carefully. Though its main market is for beer enthusiasts, you don't really have to be one to enjoy the beer. Just be smart and not order a Heineken or Stella or other beers that you can easily buy in the grocery store. I mean, hello? This is GLOBAL Beer Exchange. They carry beers from all around the world. Beers you probably haven't heard of yet and you're going to order a regular non-craft beer? Be adventurous and try something new. Bring a couple of friends, order different beers each and just do some beer tasting. Food isn't anything great so make sure that you'll be drinking here before or after you eat. Or you can bring some snacks, to munch on. Make sure to ask permission from the bar first though!

The setup was nothing short of hip: Edison bulbs lining the tent ceilings, cute/hip furniture everywhere, there was a grass area for picnic-style munching and drinking, a foosball table in the middle of everything, and a large screen for viewing the FIBA Asia finals that night. Most fun of all, they even let pets roam around! It could get a bit hot especially when you're drinking beer al fresco, but it was part of the fun. For someone who's not a big fan of beer (I'm more of a wine and cocktails guy), I especially LOVED the beer margarita from Mr. Graham's that comes in a pitcher. It was a mixture of calamansi juice, locally crafted beer, margarita, fresh dalandan, and other stuff I couldn't identify. This was definitely not something you can get from any bar in the metro, at least none that I know of. Another must-try from Mr. Graham's is the Applie Pie Soda. Um, positively one of the best non-alcoholic drinks ever!! With your beer or apple pie happiness, go have the Elote--corn on a cob covered with mayo, cheese and a bit of cayenne. My boss recommends squeezing a bit of calamansi for an extra layer of flavor. It was a bit disappointing though how the food stalls (not the drinks) ran out of stock as early as 9pm. Perhaps because it was a Saturday? So try to come early if you're looking to have dinner there. Otherwise, I suggest just enjoying the drinks and a bit of snacking while feeling the cool, laidback vibe and live music, then heading out some place else in the area for a late night grub. The Dry-aged bone in steak was decent quality for APAC, but the star here was the truffle cream pasta dish! Like a lot of recommendations from others, the cream pasta is packed full of umami flavors and done just right. The purple rice here was also notably good. Overall a decent mall dining experience. I think I've come to the conclusion that in SEA/APAC a lot of good restaurants and dining experiences are mall centric.
