I love these people because they make it clear that your concerns, fears and comfort are their responsibility and commitment to manage to your satisfaction. You always know where you stand with your insurance and paying whatever may be due to them can be as simple as a couple clicks on your smart phone. The place is amazing. My mother and I drove 45 minutes to get to my appointment. Upon arrival for my appointment, I presented my insurance card, and I was turned away because they said that they don't take my specific kind of dental insurance. This was very frustrating for myself, and my mother, and it seems like this kind of situation could have been avoided all together. I really can't say whether I would recommend this dentist for their services, as I did not have any provided to me, but I can say that you can't trust them to give you the correct information regarding your insurance over the phone.

The recording stated that any existing patients with a dental emergency can call the doctor at home or his cell phone and gave the phone numbers! Dr.Schmid did a great job. He did several impressions and mock surgeries before I was in the…read morehospital. He also gave me options and the procedures he would be doing for the surgery. He gave me the option to do either the upper and lower jaw surgery or just the lower jaw, and the pros and cons of both. The fact he was thorough in the details of the surgery, the multiple impressions, several mock surgeries really helped me relieve the stress before surgery because it was the first time I've been in the hospital since I was two. I woke up from the hospital with no pain, I didn't even need pain medication, I was just swollen and had little bit of bleeding from the surgery from a hole that was probably was about 1cm. He followed up on the surgery as well to make sure every was good for 6 months after as well. I have made a full recovery almost a year except maybe some numbness but that is decreasing, there isn't even a scar where the hole was. The reason however I did not give 5 stars is because of the office, not Dr.Schmid. It was so stressful to see that they couldn't seem to schedule me correctly and had problems with finding my files and changing my dates for appointments, this reduce my confidence in the office and caused me to be stressed and suspicion. But I will leave on a good note, he did a great jawb, haha.

It was so successful, I ended up with 6 implants instead of just the minimum 4. My entire journey was fully orchestrated between this office and Dr Steven Schmid at Family Dentistry and Prosthodontics in Merritt Island. From the very first consultation through my All on 4 dental implant procedure and follow ups, I was treated with professionalism, kindness, and genuine care. They took the time to explain every step of the process, answered all my questions, and made sure I felt totally comfortable the entire time - especially Samantha! This was invaluable to me since I have suffered significant facial trauma in the past! This father & son "dynamic dental duo" provided me with completely orchestrated care across both offices and throughout the process.
