New PCP for me. Dr. himself seems pretty good. But just an awful and unprofessional medical and office support staff that, unfortunately, takes away from that MD goodness. Very unprofessional, quite rude, surprising defensive and argumentative when asking detailed questions or if you ask to talk with your doctor, sometimes obfuscating with paperwork, policies and procedures, contemptuous and flat out "flaky" with health facts, records and data. Flat out refused to let me talk with the doctor when I insisted. This sums it up...one time I arrived early in the AM to request some records and heard them talking in their office and one staffer stated to the other "I can't stand this place." They seemed overwhelmed and under supported perhaps in their task oriented environment, but they take it out on the patients. Very little doctor supervision of how they handle patient relations. Either he's oblivious or worse...knows how they are and just has to bear it because he has not much choice. Have gotten some help from them maybe 20% of the time, rest of experiences they delayed or outright refused requests with contempt or citing some non-existent policy or rule that when checked with insurance or their parent physician network organization. I was told very negatively I had something in my file...some sort of cancellation letter, but in fact they got the facts wrong once I challenged them to check that letter for me. Venipuncture awful experience...the medical assistant couldn't find my vein (which is so clear you can see it) and yet right-out-of-the-gate she blamed her missing and my bruising on my "dehydration". I religiously drink 5-6 quarts of water a day. Wasn't wearing any gloves, didn't wash her hands. I am 52 years old and never had a venipuncture issue EVER, first time I have been blamed. So I told her flat out, last time she will ever touch me for an invasive procedure and she should retire for providing some of the worst patient treatment. Almost impossible to get any efficient response for medical records requests. Their computer / medical records systems seem antiquated and unable to handle even the simplest of tasks...I think the doctor keeps his laptop separate from that system for that reason. Gonna find a new PCP as soon as I can. This place is a patient relations disaster. read more
