I can truly say they put your comfort above all. I came on a Friday for a consult with the doctor. I saw Dr. Shannon Ellermeyer and she had outstanding bedside manner and was kind and honest. She explained possible treatment options and they printed me pricing for both possibilities with a breakdown of insurance contribution. I scheduled with the front desk for the following Monday to actually come back for the work which could be either a filling or a root canal. They told me nitrous was complementary because my comfort was important. My mind was blown. I had literally never been offered nitrous, even when expressing anxiety about numbing injections to previous dentists. When I came back Monday, the appointment took about an hour but most of that was spent making sure I was comfortable before she started! With the nitrous I didn't even feel the injections and then she checked before she started the work. Outstanding. She told me what she was doing. I was lucky and it was just a filling and it was quick and efficient. The assistant even had chapstick and applied it for me when my lips got dry during! That was a really nice touch and one more way they made sure my physical comfort was taken care of. It was pouring the day I came and along with the umbrella I got as a new patient (that I had forgotten, OF COURSE!) they have a stash at the door for you to use and bring back the next time you come. I got back in two weeks for a cleaning and I can honestly say, I have no worries. Not even bad news could take away from how pleasant this office is. Even the front desk staff are friendly and helpful. I'm glad this place exists.

I don't recall ever enjoying dental health visits, however there was a point at Denville Dental when I thought "You know, I'm kind of enjoying this." The dentist, dental hygienist, and all other staff were so upbeat, positive and friendly that I began to feel the same way. This in addition to all demonstrating a high level of skill and professionalism (I've had jobs supervising a two-year community college dental hygiene program as well as a four-year university dental hygiene program, both staffed by dental hygienists and dentists). I highly recommend Denville Dental Group

I've had good experiences with the actual dental care here, and I've been happy with the quality of…read morethe work. However, I was disappointed with how a billing issue was handled at my most recent appointment. I was told when I arrived that there was a late/missed appointment fee from 2025 that I needed to pay before I could have my scheduled cleaning. They said they had reduced the amount, which I appreciated, but I was surprised to have this brought up and required to be paid more than a year later, especially when I was there for a routine scheduled appointment. I was also unemployed that year and recall informing all my doctors offices. This isn't the first time there's many times when I get appointment reminders that I've even rescheduled or canceled so I don't even think this was accurate, but I didn't want to have an argument, so I just decided to pay it. Maybe I should've fought it. I understand offices have policies regarding missed appointments, but I feel this could have been communicated much sooner rather than addressing it at the time of a current appointment. Unfortunately, the way it was handled left a somewhat negative impression and felt unnecessary and, frankly, a little tacky. Again, I have no complaints about the quality of the dental care itself. My concern is specifically with how this particular billing issue was hand
