Prior to the wedding, he sent us a document to help him get to know the people in our wedding party which worked wonderfully - everyone was captured at their best. On the wedding day, he was generous with his time and patient. We had our wedding in Las Vegas so there were a number of different locations to shoot and he came with a great plan and sense of where to photograph us, and the results were exceptionally captured. Some ideas were challenging, but he delivered! Probably what we were most pleased about is how well he got along with everyone, and how well everyone responded to him. He truly felt like a guest that everyone knew or wanted to get to know. We've been to many weddings, and many photographers are excellent flies on the wall, but don't necessarily connect with the people they're photographing. In Nathaniel's case, he was able to be that fly on the wall, but was also genuinely engaged with our guests. Everyone felt comfortable around him, and didn't have to feel like there was a camera taking their picture. This lent to everyone having a great time, coming out naturally and engaged, and that was exactly what we wanted. We couldn't be happier! Took over a month to see my wedding picture and for them to download all pic to a website to view (there was a lot of good moment pic that was not clear to see, that was very disappointed.). We got married in July we didn't get our album until December. Every time we send email to him about question after the wedding it were take 1 to 3 week to respond back. I didn't like how he also did our album picture but didn't let us see what picture he had pick or a draft before he had made it. So now I have to pay to get other one done.

As someone who's familiar with filmmaking, I'm impressed by the videographer's ability to quickly capture candid moments and to adapt to a very fast pace and changing environment. Whenever I feel there was a special moment happening, I turn to see that the camera already capturing the highlights. Vince has the ability to follow his instinct and capture precious moments in an instant. After the video was released, I was utter impressed with the creative compilation. I mean, I was there with the bride and groom the whole day and so I am very well informed of my surrounding and what my environment looked like. During our wedding reception we played our "Love Story" that Ryan put together. It featured still images from both of our childhoods as well as still images of us together. The way that he edited the introduction made our still images come to life with the format and music. Our "Love Story" was individual interviews from myself and my then fiance. The interview topics covered how we first met, when we knew this was the person for me, our engagement story and final words. We filmed our interviews separate, so neither one of us knew what the other had said. Ryan put these interviews together and edited the footage in a way where our story was really told. We also had footage of us filmed at Balboa Park, Habor Island and Paradise Point. Not only did he feature footage that was shot weeks before the wedding, he edited in footage FROM THE WEDDING CEREMONY! Yes, he turned around an edit and showed Joe and I at the ceremony during our reception. That is something that not many wedding videographers have the knowledge or capability to do. Watching our wedding video during the reception was such a highlight of the event, not only for ourselves but for our guests. This video is no regular slideshow, Ryan uses top of the line video and editing technology. Our guests were COMPLETELY blown away that our ceremony was edited into the video shortly after. I realize a month after my wedding how important this interview and footage will be later in life. This is something that I will be able to show my children and grandchildren with pride. We hired John to be the official photographer for the 8th Annual McFarland Surf Contest, and we…read morecould not have been more pleased with him, both personally and professionally. We've used a couple of other photographers for the Contest in the past, with good but never great results. One of these tried to double his price at the last minute. Another was late and took marginal photos. John was very flexible with timing, agreeing to show up whenever the waves were best. He was there early to scope out the conditions, and he stayed until the last surfer was out of the water. In addition to catching some great surfing (and wipeout) photos, John stuck around and took some very cool, artistic shots of the boards and the various surfers. John was very quick in getting the photos out to us, and they turned out great -- he has a very artistic eye. If you are considering him for surfing photos, he certainly understands the sport and will do a great job. He clearly loves photography (we initially met him when he was wandering around taking pictures for fun at the beach). More importantly, he's just very like-able and good to work with. We even managed to convince him to stick around for a beer after the shoot. Anyway, John will definitely be the official photographer of the McFarland Surf Contest for as long as he wants the job. He's good at what he does, very communicative and responsive, and the kind of guy you will want to support with your business.
