John Cocozza is an awesome photographer. We cannot offer enough praise, nor can we recommend him highly enough. We learned about John when we hosted a large birthday party in 2018. Although he was personally unavailable that evening, he sent one of his assistants. The results were first-rate. In March 2025, my husband & I celebrated a large 50th Anniversary Party, which was mostly a celebration of great friendships of many years. John himself did absolutely amazing coverage of the event. He captured the ambience. He artfully photographed all the food, flowers and the gorgeous venue. Moreover, he managed to unobtrusively photograph all of our guests. He was never in anyone's face, but we ended up with truly amazing photos of all our friends. Many commented on his pleasant personality and how much fun he was to work with. All the other photographers I spoke with gave off a bad vibe and said something along the lines of "Come to my address, be on time, we will shoot the photos you want, and then e-mail them to you a few days later.". As an apparel company - I often need photographers to do work for me as far as modeling shoots, product shoots etc go. Even though my company has worked with most of the major photographers in the San Diego area (and a few out of state) I have to say that John Cocozza is one the best I have ever worked with. I've had 3 headshots taken in my lifetime and I never gave them much value, until my session with John. I contacted John to purchase a photo tile print I had seen on his Facebook page and also in a business in Pacific Beach. He is a local photographer who does modeling shoots. weddings, portraits, product shoots. I am always looking to support local artists and photographers by purchasing their work. I was most impressed his photos of beaches and ocean shots. The quality of the photo tile (a 12x12 sized wave divided and placed into 4 acrylic squares mounted on a brushed steel frame) was impressive. The photo tile itself is unique and I haven't seen anything like it before. The photo of a wave taken at the Ocean Beach was awesome.
