I wanted to re-verify that information and the technician took me back to talk to the women at the front desk. They, again, verified that I definitely would not be charged. But, later, after the x-ray and the cleaning, A RECEIPT WAS SHOVED UNDER MY NOSE AND I WAS BILLED A FEE (I have insurance). So, it was simply lies atop another lie from the time that I walked in the door. Their office manager was rude when I later called to discuss the bill. She obviously had a problem admitting the LIE. I might have casually accepted the "fee" but I cannot accept LIES. I WILL NOT RETURN HERE AND I CAUTION YOU TO FIND A DIFFERENT PROVIDER.

After being taken back 15 minutes late then my appointment time, that I arrived 10 minutes early to I finally finished at 4:50 PM. My barber appointment was scheduled for 4:30 pm, so I missed that. Sauve does good dental work, but is way too overbooked. He is constantly switches to different patients which leaves many patients waiting. Ontop of this, I had a 125$ bill, in which I tried to use my health savings card on, but the front desk lady insisted that that would not work . She is prejudice against people that she thinks does have insurance. I have insurance, but she didn't do her job until I got there. It took 48 minutes to finally verify that I had insurance. By then, it was time for the next patient. Autumn told me that they were not going to clean my teeth and that I had to leave. I drove 2 hours round trip for nothing. Autumn was rude, disrespectful, and talked down to me. She had a chip on her shoulder and a power trip. She should be fired immediately for how she treated me. I will never go back to this dentist office again because of Autumn. There are so many choices of dentists on Linglestowns Road that I don't need this one. I would not even give it one star. Actually it deserves zero stars because the customer service from the employees there is horrible. They are hiring low grade people that don't care about the clients. Autumn bullied and degraded me. She thought I didn't have insurance and treated me like I didn't deserve service. She literally told me to leave. She told the dental hygienist not to service me. She is a horrible person with a mean personality. She should not be working with customers. She is incompetent because I've always had insurance, but she didn't do her job correctly. She needs some customer service training. Also, she should do her job before the patient shows up instead of waiting till the last minute. Dr. Shirley and Dr. Ditty... you are hiring people that are giving your practice a horrible name. With all the competition around you, your employees should be giving top notch service to each and every client no matter what. The client is who pays your salary...just remember that. I tell everyone how horrible your place has gotten. I suggest you give your employees some training and fire employees like Autumn. I could go into detail how horrible Autumn was to me but it would take pages. AUTUMN NEEDS FIRED.

What I mean is that there was not a bad part of this process. I am 16 hours removed from my first root canal and I. Have. Not. Felt. ANY. Pain. None. I felt no pain in the chair, I felt no pain yesterday afternoon, and I am feeling none this morning. Dr. Patel exudes an air of competence that I found very comforting and it made everything go so smoothly. I'm a high anxiety patient who is unreasonably terrified of dental work and I'm a jerk for not remembering the name of the Dental Assistant from my first visit, but her soothing and professional bedside manner kept me there feeling listened to and safe at my first visit and 'Cassie' was fantastic in the same role the day of the root canal. They treated me with such compassion and I am so appreciative. 'Jay' handled my cleaning and I can't say enough; I've never had a cleaning go better and she took the time to answer all of my questions and talked me through everything. She is a goddess. There are signs in the office begging for reviews and just look at the positive reviewers last names and photos. All freinds/family )) DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILDREN HERE!! Dr. Patels primary focus is his bank account. absolute joke of a DR. Make sure you triple check your bills and appointments as they will try and double bill or over bill you for things. my daughters procedure was suppose to be a frenectomy and filling in ONE APPOINTMENT. Like the selfish money hungry people they are, they scheduled 2 appointments one for the filing and one for the frenectomy. so I was given 2 estimated bills about 200$ a piece, Both bills also had charges for nitrous oxide. I was concerned about my child having nitrous used on her twice and asked why the filling and frenectomy were not being done together in 1 appointment . I was first told it wasn't possible. after I kept questioning the women on the phone she went to talk with Patel and came back saying they would "allow me" to merge the two appointments. (so kind of them to allow me to keep the money(about 200$) they tried to screw me out off, by making 2 appointments with nitrous instead of one.) on sept. 14th my daughter had her procedure . . .which was a horrific nightmare. I was charged 100$ for nitrous and while they put the mask on her face they never talked her through taking calming breathes. she was upset and crying and saying she could still feel where they had " already numbed" . . .both patel and the hygienist kept telling my daughter " No Reason To Cry" & they would show her the tools first, or explain first before they did anything, just so she would calm down or mover her hands from blocking her face. . but they never did explain or show her creating alot of fear an disturst for my 8 yr old. in the end they had another hygienist come in at the last second to abruptly hold my daughters arms down, at this point she was screaming in fear and pain as patel began to slide a laser tool back and forth on her frenulum. Id also like to let everyone know just in case you decide to traumatize your child here, they Will Deny your request for a school note stating, " we have patients that get dental implants and are back to work in 2 days" Now I'm not gunna even get into how ridiculous comparing an adult and childs recovery period is. but it speaks volumes on patels arrogance and lack of compassion for his patients especially children. They will also over exagerate the amount of days you requested the note for and not return ur phone call requesting the note. just an overall terrible dentistry. ** & AGAIN BEWARE OF THOSE FAKED 5 STAR REVIEWS FROM FRIENDS AND FAMILY OF PATEL**

I had a few cleanings done here, which were pretty normal. Like others have said, I had to wait longer than expected but nothing too drastic. I did end of switching providers though after one too many bad experiences that could not be coincidental. Saga as follows: -They switched dentists between my 2nd and 3rd cleaning here. During the second cleaning I was told I would need multiple fillings (which I kept procrastinating...) During the 3rd cleaning the new dentist said I did not need any... (to give benefit of the doubt, maybe every dentist is different...? But I felt like the previous dentist was just trying to get money out of me! -They were VERY hesitant to give a referral for a wisdom tooth extraction to anywhere but one specific place (which didn't take my insurance) Once I finally jumped through all the hoops for them to finally release my information to who I was asking them to, they only sent part of my record and I had to get X-rays redone at the place I was getting my wisdom teeth out because they "didn't have it" -During my 3rd cleaning they took the X-rays again because the "didn't have them" How do you misplace X-rays...? ‍ - the new dentist was really demeaning, mansplained EVERYTHING to me, even restated something I literally just said, and used my name every other second thinking he was "connecting with me." I did not like it! But I was thankful he retook the X-ray "for free" (not my fault they misplaced it though...) and did not lie about my filling so that was nice... mixed reviews on him -Nail in the coffin, my last appointment was 7/22 and i have not heard from them since (except to cancel a cleaning 1/23 because I decided not to continue with them...!) All of a sudden I get a collection notice in the mail saying I owe them money for my last cleaning.... I called to ask why I didn't get a bill or a call or anything. They claim they sent 8 bills before sending to collection but I did not get 1... Needless to say: proceed with caution. The people are not bad (also not the best...) but I had one too many bad experiences for it to be coincidence.
