Super close to my house to it's easy to get to. Just did the Murph with them yesterday and it was awesome seeing the hospitality and consultant workout explanations/ variety. I've been to 3 CrossFit places so far and this place def has a family vibe / mentality. Very rare quality.

You hear the stereotype…read moreabout Crossfit - the grunting, banging of the weights, flipping of the huge tires etc... but my first experience at a Crossfit gym, this one in particular, was a lot better than I expected. Abe was very welcoming. He had us perform several exercises with no weights so he could make sure our form was correct for the workouts we were doing that day.0 There were 2 phases of the workout. First we started with several rounds of light weight excersices and stretching. This was for about 15 minutes or so. The next phase was timed (about 40 minutes) and consisted of a circuit - several strength exercises with weights and some that were more cardio focused. The timed portion really gets your competitive nature flowing and you want to push yourself. I was gassed afterwards. During all the workouts Abe was always checking in to make sure everything was good and also providing encouragement. And it just wasn't Abe, all the other members there (about 10 or so during the time I went) were all very friendly and eager to answer questions. I had such a good experience I came back 2 days later for another round - albeit sore from the previous workout but ready for more. If you live or commute around Morgan Hill and are looking to try a new workout routine or interested in trying Crossfit I would definitely recommend stopping by and speaking with Abe! You can't go wrong.

As I drove by, I used to say to myself "I am glad I am not going in there to work out and get fit". It looked difficult, intense, and intimidating. Now I say to myself "I am glad I am not going to that brewery to get drunk". I was initially very scared to join Watsonville Crossfit. I had a lot of uncertainty and anxiety about what I was doing here. The coaches and athletes quickly made me feel welcome and at home. There is a huge sense of community here. I am learning all the workouts and feel very comfortable. All the coaches are extremely helpful and give me detailed attention to help me program the exercises and work through my limitations. They offer unlimited support and genuinely want each athlete to be successful. This is my 2nd month. Every week I see rapid improvement. Yesterday I did my first double under (jump rope twice with each jump). I have lost weight and I love how I feel and look. I feel a huge sense of accomplishment. Watsonville Crossfit is an amazing place to transform yourself and live the life you want to live.

The workouts are challenging but they aren't repetitive, we do same or different movements but the rounds, the time, the reps is not the same, all work outs are different on a daily biases. When he cancels a Saturday class its either because work is being done at the gym or another valid situation, not Just because he doesn't want to coach. That's crazy to even think that its just because he doesn't want to coach. Prices have gone up, but so has prices everywhere. If the prices didn't go up we wouldn't have a gym, and that's 100% facts. Go and check out other gyms and see how much they charge and they you will be appreciative of how much we pay. If you are having those issues with members hitting on you, defiantly speak to Jesse, he will nip it in the ass quick. Don't assume things. You are right the Facility is nice and the Community is awesome, But how do you write that after bashing this man's business and persona. We are a family and large community here, if your issues are with him, address them and ask to speak to him. Not come out and bash him, that not cool. There is other gyms in the area, if you feel super strongly about the owner and how he does things. Mike has designed it to be a 7 day program that targets all the essential aspects of healthy living if you can go everyday. MWSa are the strength days, TTh are the core days, F is a HIIT day, and Su isn't a stretch/mobility day. I typically just do the MWSa classes, so my review is based on those classes. HIGHLIGHTS: - 8 stations that target most major movements: squat, hip hinge, thruster, biceps/triceps, upper body push and pull - programs change every 4 weeks so it doesn't get boring and your muscles don't plateau - great community: everyone is friendly and happy to help! There is a wide range of ages and strength levels so no one feels out of place. - clean: everyone wipes down their equipment after each exercise STANDOUTS: - Mike pays close attention to everyone's form, especially those who are newer to exercise and/or need more guidance. - He offers modifications if the movements are painful TIPS: to maximize the benefits of the workouts - Make sure you work on your form outside of class if you're struggling - Make sure you're getting enough protein in your diet (+ water and sleep) - Focus more on form than weight. - Focus your goal on building strength, function, and longevity more than weight loss.
