He has always kept up with new ideas and methods and I have no complaints about any of the work he has done (which in my case has been A LOT of work!) In the 80s I had my teeth bonded due to issues I had with my top front teeth. As methods changed, he recommended porcelain veneers which I have had for over 20 years and are still going strong. I also have a lot of fillings from when I was younger in the 70s. He has, over time, when they have cracked, have replaced them. On the ones he replaced, I had no issues. Having my teeth cleaned seems uneventful due to this water pic like plaque remover. Dr Sigman and his staff have always been gentle and accommodating.

Dr. Tatch is out of dental Network, and he was on vacation anyway, so I decided to check out a different (rather new) in-Network surgeon 3 miles from my home, and that guy gave me a page of "smoke and mirrors" with "big discounts" and a bunch of "IF"s and contingencies and additions, and that's before new implants, so I went to NorthShore Center for consultation anyway, and... OMG,.. I met Dr. Yost Smith, a very kind, patient, competent, intelligent, and detailed doctor, and I was so impressed that I scheduled my implants removal and bone graft right away for the next day, and - Attention! - their plan/estimate was lower than the other so-called "in-Network" guy. Next night something in my mouth woke me up - it was my 2 fused implants that fell out on their own. Dr. Smith was very skillful and patient again answering my new questions, and he never charged me for implants removal, no games or questions asked. The staff has been always amazing for the last 20-25 years, but this time I met a dozen new associates who were very caring, friendly, and skillful. Wow, what a great experience! THANKS A LOT, Dr. Smith and NorthShore Center staff!

The operation was fast, and I only had very mild pain and bleeding on the first day. I didn't have to take any of the painkillers that I had prepared before the surgery. I did using the frozen pea to cold patch the surgical area constantly for the first 24 hours and warm patch after. After 24 hours, I only had a little bit of discomfort and no swelling. By third day I was basically feeling fine. It's been three weeks since the surgery. The only thing I need to do is avoid crushing and hard food, and wait for another two months for it to heal. And yet,.. here is one more star/medal/prize: I came to Dr. Cooper for consultation about my old failing/failed implants. He took an X-Ray, then did a CT scan, shared his findings with recommendations, and gave me a referral to the oral surgeon/implantologist. How much do they usually charge you for a consultation + X-Ray + CT scan? I know the answer, been there, done that, and your answer is wrong: Dr. Cooper charged me $0,.. Nothing! Can you believe that? I don't want people to print this review and show it to him, "You charged this guy $0, and I want the same price", but I just can't help yelling from the roof of the world's tallest tower, "This Doctor/Dentist must be from another planet where humanity, kindness, compassion, and decency still exists!" And, of course, his staff is always "top notch", and I suspect that the staff usually mimic the doctor, and I learned that in my long life spanning apx. 3 generations. No, I don't want to claim that he is the only one in the World, but I am saying that I have never met the care and kindness of such highest level. Thank you Dr. Cooper and your staff!

BACKSTORY Was referred to another Perio practice for a…read moreconsultation. Was checking Cigna Dental site for in-network periodontists including the referral practice. This weirdly named one came up as Dr Reganato in their list with a high rating (low fees) and sounded great... always be wary of these things. Lesson re-learned. This is a very strange office. Or failing as a practice... They answer the phone "Hello" without identifying themselves by business name and individual aka "Business Name, Mary speaking, how may I help you?" And when pressed with "uhh is this a business" they respond with "Perio" like they don't want to state who they are... vibes like they are dodging debt collectors? Weird af. EXPERIENCE Tried to make an appointment, they ask for a referral from your dentist, if you contact them... to "build a rapport" with your dentist... aka trying to get more business (need more referrals do we?) Which tracks when they closed an office in Arlington Heights and barely have any reviews on Google or Yelp. I think it's because Cigna stated fees that seem very reasonable, and this guy doesn't want Cigna Dental patients. That is my guess... are they contracted to these rates? SHADY behavior by the dental office manager Elisa and the various Susan's as well. So, suss, their conversation had a sad desperation vibe... the 2nd follow-up chat with the receptionist before Elisa... showed the senile person didn't even know who she was talking to and almost booked me, then got my name, put me on hold, and said the whole lie about September as the next available date... perio referral consults are done immediately because you don't wait on gum issues, so why did you want a referral? Beware of this weird sketchy place... oh just looked up the office. Strip mall between a Halal Meat market and Nail Salon... so they seem very successful and legit. Do professional office people answer with just "hello" and don't ask for ID info when you call to look up your account? Or say that they delete emails when appointments aren't made after their follow-up call, because they thought you were someone else... seems odd to be soliciting appointments, but then having the Office Manager Elisa say theyre booked up for 3 months and next availability is in September... after they finally get your name. Classic Susan... x2.

In addition, someone at this office called me three time in quick succession while I was at work. You'd think they'd call once, leave a voice message, and move on. However, they called once and left no voice message, called a second time *one minute later* and left a vague voice message, and called a third time two minutes after that. I had to stop what I was doing, answer the phone, and tell them never to do that to me again. Their dental work and patient experience is also rather poor, I had a filling come loose on a Saturday night and walked in to their office the following Monday around 1-1:30 (about two weeks ago). Their office window says walk-ins are welcome. I was told I'd need to wait til their lunch was done, that's perfectly fine. I expected to have to wait a bit, it was a walk in after all, but it was nearly 4PM by the time I left their office. The filling they did is massive, compared to the tiny one it replaced, and it's shaped so strangely that it looks like I've got a massive chunk of plaque on my tooth.
