My Rat Terrier mix Johnny gets a pill placed in his throat every 12 hours for excessive itching. It is something I enjoy doing for him as he brings both my wife and I much joy although he does not willingly take the pill I must simply place it in his throat, and then he gets a treat so it's a good bonding moment for both myself and my dog . Johnny enjoys going to the Vet Clinic to get his nails trimmed and the staff really seems to take to him a lot.

My beagle suffered a complete ligament tear in her knee, requiring extracapsular surgery on January 30, 2026. Her sutures were removed, and her incision was fully healed by February 9, 2026, a remarkable recovery. I drove from Houston and stayed overnight to make her care possible at an affordable cost. From the start, Dr. Phillips communicated clearly and handled my dog with exceptional skill. She assessed the injury in under two minutes, painlessly and without distress to my dog. Last summer, my wife and I moved here from the north Texas area and a relative recommended this Vet…read moreClinic to me ; why I'm not sure because there are other clinics closer to Brenham and it's near suicide getting onto Interstate 2- 90 and then having to make a U-turn to come back to the parking lot of the Vet Clinic itself. During our move, we boarded our rat terrier at a location in Dallas, where he contracted kennel cough. The Phillips clinic charged me over $500 to examine and treat my dog. One of the treatments included an anti itch pill called Apoquel . This pill must be divided into four equal portions and I give them to the dog once every 12 hours ; I was fully capable of cutting up the pill myself since he's been on this pill for several years, however the the clinic had an individual cut up the pills for me and charged me for their service; absolutely uncalled for; they should have at least have asked me if I wanted them to divide up the People leave this clinic to those who live out in the boonies south east of Washington County.

Staff is incompetent and Dr Philips is a pathological liar. One example (of many) is lying about…read morewhen she received test results from a lab, which was clearly proven when she forwarded the email from the lab. She also had the audacity to try to gaslight me when I relayed a conversation I had with her staff and she repeatedly insisted that the things I told her never happened. I asked the staff to run every test possible on all four of my dogs, then called back later and found out they hadn't included a heartworm test in the bloodwork we sent off, so I had to tell them to add that. 10 days later I noticed two of them had unhealthy stool and sent samples to the lab at A&M, where they all tested positive for hookworms -- so evidently they didn't do a fecal test either. I understand mistakes due to miscommunication or organizational error, but the staff was overtly unhelpful every time I called, and Helen told me blatant lies every time we talked.
