My 2 dogs are rescues and had been severely abused so I had my misgivings. The Groom Room dispelled any fears I had!! If I could give The Paw Spa 10 stars, I would!…read more We were able to book an appointment easily and, from the moment I walked in with my dog, Boo, we were welcomed by their friendly staff. Because they wanted our experience to be a good one, Boo and I met his dog groomer, Brianna, & I was given a choice of whether Boo would leave with a bow tie (cute!) or a bandana (adorable!), or a choice of which of 4 colognes I'd prefer for Boo (if any). The woman at the front took thorough notes on what Boo was like, offered a nail clipping and filing!!!, tooth brushing, and anal gland expression (we passed on this). Best of all, they listened to me when I said that Boo is new to town and blind, and we'd prefer if he could go through the process quickly. Two hours later, he was done! When we checked out, the woman at the front asked if there was anything else they could do for us! Wow! I've never felt so heard, and best of all, Boo came back home not only looking amazing & adorable in his new bandana but he was happy! He's never happy after grooming, & it showed me that he had as amazing an experience as I did! The Paw Spa is amazing & I highly, highly recommend it to anyone who loves their dog & wants a wonderful experience!

A small dog was barking on a table where they had left him tied. My own dog immediately peed once they let her out. She doesn't do that at other places so I wondered how long she had been caged.

I boarded my two small dogs for five nights. When I picked them up they were both in one carrier…read morewhich was odd because they each have their own crate and never go into the other's at home. They still had their harnesses on and I have no idea if they'd been removed all week. I asked how the dogs did, and the owner shrugged and said they wouldn't come out of their crates to potty outside. At no time had anyone contacted me to say the dogs were not doing well. My dogs were covered in dried, matted feces when I brought them home. Their carriers were also filled with feces and needed to be hosed down. One dog rubbed a raw spot on the top of her snout. I've boarded them before at a different kennel and the staff there did a wonderful job so I knew my dogs could board ok. They both came down with diarrhea the week after I picked them up and were very lethargic. Thankfully they recovered ok. I am never using this business again.

I am beyond impressed with Angela and the work she does here…read more I called her in a crisis when the place I had a grooming appointment canceled on me just a couple hours before my dog was scheduled to be there. To top it off, I was taking him out of town that afternoon. Angela was amazing and fit him into her schedule and told me to bring him right over. I even got a call while I was driving him over, to make sure I wasn't lost and to give me directions for finding where she was located. Don't be confused by the different name on the door. I assure you, Angela will be found inside (as well as several other groomers). Angela is incredibly knowledgeable about breeds of dogs and how to groom them. She talked to me about what she would do for him and how his coat should be taken care of. He was ready exactly when she said he would be, and he looks amazing! I am beyond pleased! We left straight away and drove to Chicago to see my family. When we arrived, my family (without prompting) said this was the best haircut he's ever had! I will only bring my dog to Angela from now on!
