Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam - Arena Towers - Lounge area

Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam - Arena Towers

I took the bus from the airport and was relieved to find out; Hey this bus dropped me off at a major train station (Station Bijlmer ArenA). Little did I know that station was my one-way train ticket to downtown. Not far from the station is the Holiday Inn Express - Arena Towers. I had to walk about a quarter mile from the station to the Holiday Inn Express. Along the way, I was surprised to even notice the Amsterdam ArenA. Hence the reason for distinguishing "Arena Towers" in their name. Plus the hotel is made up of both a regular Holiday Inn, and an Express type. I checked-in with Romy who was super welcoming! She verified my IHG membership, and made sure I was taken care of. And apparently the only room available for me was on the top level (the 17th). Sweet! Not only did she hook up a nice room, she helped me with planning my trip to Centraal Station. She explained the layout of their hotel, and the complimentary breakfast from 6:30am to 10:30am. I even got hooked up with a plug converter, only requiring a small deposit. The room ran me $348.35 or €308.23 for one night. Yes, pricey but every hotel downtown was booked since it was a bank holiday Monday. The room in general was average looking; Clean in my opinion though. Loved the blue light in the bathroom, as well as the standup shower with detachable showerhead. In the open, next to the bed was a set of hangers, a monitor for cable, and a bed. WiFi worked without a hitch. The bed was slightly firm and the beddings were nice and white. The view of the land, excellent! So overall, I enjoyed my short stay here and wouldn't mind staying again. The hotel was simply convenient being next to the station, the arena, and various food joints. The staff was on-point with everything, and I finally got some much needed rest. It's the reason we stay right, for sleep and rest? It's rare for me to give five stars to a corporate company, but service overshadowed the average stay. I'd never thought I'd say this, but "Thank you" Holiday Inn Express for the warm hospitality.

Clean, well set up rooms. Excellent breakfast and friendly staff…read more It's proximity to Amsterdam's Metro (M54) made getting into A'dam very easy.

The hotel was a dream! I've equated Hyatt Regency's with conference center hotels, but this was…read moreabsolutely not that! The lobby is chic, with cozy couches, dim lighting, and welcoming staff. The location might feel bit far from the center, but to me that was appealing. A slower pace and more local vibe made for some realistic exploring. I was able to book this room on points and even had a suite upgrade, so this was the best place to stay at the end of a trip. I'm just sad we didn't stay here for longer! Our room was spacious, they had a wooden baby crib with a tiny little pillow and duvet, a walk-in closet, and giant bathroom. The bed was so comfy and we almost never wanted to leave the room. the only downside is there are windows where the bedroom is, only in the living room area. The staff were accommodating putting ice packs and breast milk in the freezer and answering any questions. We explored the club room for happy hour and breakfast, but also enjoyed breakfast in the restaurant and WOW. Quite the spread with something for everyone! I love that you can get coffee and eggs made to order. On our last breakfast we had to leave quickly and they made our coffees to go. Truly a gem and I would 100% return here.

The two ladies were highly fun and interesting to converse with and was always quick with a smile . However, it is their professional service that made them rock stars. Both had many suggestions to make our trip exceptional in Amsterdam and we will return to this Hyatt because of Carolina and April! I loved the apple pie and want the recipe to make for my grandkids at home . Hope April or Carolina can get it for me! Pleeeeze! Dining room - 4 stars , although it didn't have as many menu options as the other Hyatt hotels , the food was solid. Front Desk- lovely people Rooms- Nice layouts and clean Location- easy access anywhere. Metro is 4 minutes walk and trams number 1 and 14 are across the street. There is an Albert Heijn store conveniently across the street , a Latino restaurant "Caliente" few feet away ,

They really do everything to make our stay great! The rooms are nice, the staff so very friendly. But the reason I give the rating I give is very simple.... The logistics and the small things compared to the other location they have not much further from the city center. But the amount of time to get to the center is the same due to the transportation option. Is not as convenient. Their parking garage is small and they charge 35 euros and is not even for 24 hours we had to take the car out at 1500 or 3 pm They had breakfast for free and that is amazing but the amount of inconvenience. We got lost looking for the tram... so much wasted time. The other location by the convention arena is much easier and the metro is right in front of it. They don't charge for parking and we were allowed to keep the car in the garage more than 24 hours. Over there is more expensive but the peace of mind is more important when on vacation... so I would not recommend this location.
