Apparently, there haven't ever been any reviews written for HEMA Breda! Most people are probably…read morethinking "It's HEMA. What's there to review?". Well, let me tell you! As I've moved quite a bit around the Netherlands and seen my fair share of HEMA's, I have to say that this is the first one where I enjoy going on a weekly basis (good for them, not good for my wallet). So what exactly is it that I like so much about this specific HEMA? It's different from the other ones I've been to. The products they have are aimed at a younger audience (teens to mid twenties if I'd have to name something), and the store generally feels trendier than other ones. The staff are usually cheerful and happy to help you in dire times of need. One of the downsides to the store is that the lay-out doesn't seem to make a lot of sense, it feels like everything has been sort of put down all over the place, some aisles have signs to point you in the right direction and some don't. Even though the store sometimes feels a bit like a maze when you're looking for something specific, it's a great store to just walk in and browse on a lazy afternoon. Also, as a true Dutch girl I just have to state this - I love HEMA hotdogs.

Vindingrijk
A friend and I went to Vindingrijk today since they "opened" a new retro games section…read more First of all, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. My friend bought a PS2, but it was packed with a PS1 controller. Without any issue the staff member helped my friend get his PS2 controller and even allowed him to test the console in the store. The store itself is large and open, and well layed out. Upon entering, you immediately get a good overview of the whole store. Comparing the prices to other stores, they are very reasonable. I've been to other charity stores where they often still put rather large price tags on items like furniture. Here at Vindingrijk there's prices you would expect for the furniture they offer. The only downside is that they advertised a lot with vintage fashion, but I found none to little clothing that would fit in the 'vintage' section. Most of the clothing they sold were things that, honestly, no one would want anymore. The plus side is that they did have fitting rooms (you don't see that too often in these types of stores).
