Never had someone so please to tell me a car has failed an MOT and needed the brake pipes changing, I explained that this was discussed on booking the service. Kept the car for an extra couple of days. Frustrating as I outlined the work first and then they didn't service the car but carried ut the MOT?! This was in September by end of November, car had broken down, battery leaking (something they flagged a year ago on the service but then on this service claimed was absolutely fine). Not really bothered about battery but irritating non the less when I asked them specifically if it could be changed! Notably the service on the day I picked the car up was excellent- much closer to their usual standard!

Unfortunately this was probably the most expensive garage I've ever been to, and once they had fixed my starter motor they then presented me with a long list of other things they needed to do to the car, the cost of which came to about £1500. I was really upset and worried as this was back when I'd just started driving and didn't realise that garages do sometimes do this in order to make more money! I ended up not letting them do any of the work and had an MOT shortly after which the car passed with flying colours-so it can't have needed all that stuff doing to it that urgently! Overall I'd say a decent garage in terms of quality of work but not in terms of the bank balance.
