My partner is obsessed with Breakers Cafe, and I finally went to check it out on Wednesday. The interior had an old-school diner vibe, with cozy booths and nostalgic decor. I really liked their large colorful wall mural. None of the breakfast offerings were speaking to me, so I chose the Carne Asada Quesadilla. This was solid and very filling. The portion size was generous and it came with little sides of salsa, guacamole, and sour cream. My partner got the Waffles, eggs, sausage, and a side of hash browns. Breakers Cafe is nestled in the middle of the Woodside shopping plaza... easy to miss if you aren't looking for it! Once you wander inside, you'll be greeted by the very friendly staff and quickly enamored with the hand painted art that graces the walls. Breaker's menu has a delightful variety of foods and drinks, so the options to tickle your tastebuds are only limited by your imagination! Each dish is full of flavor and made hot to order. I really only have two main gripes about this place. Firstly, I've visited a total of 3 times and each time I have come in, I find the portions to seem smaller and smaller. I shouldn't be leaving feeling hungry for the price point of each dish. Secondly, although the staff is extremely friendly, I've noticed at least twice (two out of three visits) we've had to repeatedly ask to get something brought to the table... Most recently, I asked for vanilla creamer for my coffee three times over the span of a 20 minute period when we were only one of three occupied tables in the whole restaurant. Yikes. All in all, I do enjoy coming to Breakers but I'm starting to debate if it's truly the best bang for my buck. read more

I added a pancake, but I was sadly disappointed with it compared to the other items. It wasn't light and fluffy, so I would not order it again. Not shown was the white toast, which was extra toasted and buttery. I ate it all because it was the first item to arrive and I was very hungry. I would ask for lightly toasted if I were to order again. The breakfast sandwich was nicely assembled. It had nice flavor and the bread tasted like it was an upgrade compared to the white toast that came with the chicken fried steak. The fruits provided a refreshing ending to the meal. Great place! We got the chilaquiles and huevos rancheros, both were delicious. I also got the zebra mocha which was amazing. I expressed concern before ordering it with how sweet it would be, and the barista reassured me that it wouldn't be too sweet, and then checked in with me again to confirm it wasn't too sweet after leaving it with me for five minutes. i've been to this cafe a handful times, since it's super convenient to where i live. they open for breakfast & lunch only, 0700-1400, but breakfast is served all day! during the pandemic, they had socially distanced indoor seating as well as outdoor seating. the staff was always good about wearing masks and being very careful not to touch any of the guests, which is often tricky when picking up plates, refilling water glasses, etc. covid precautions aside, service was always very good, in fact, once i had a party of 8-10 friends and we had 2 servers wait on us, and they were super efficient in taking our orders and bringing our food out promptly. i definitely feel like i'm welcomed as a long-time customer and friend when i dine here. as for the food, i've only ever come for breakfast/brunch, so the only items i've ordered are the breakers' special (artichoke/avocado/tomato/mushroom) or veggie delight omelet (mixed veggies, chef's choice). these come with sides of potatoes and toast. my food has always tasted great and the portion size is very hearty, especially since i almost always come here after a run or hike so i'm pretty hungry when i arrive! i often have to get a takeout box b/c i can't finish the hefty side of potatoes! note that you can also swap out potatoes for fruit and request egg whites for healthier alternatives. the bathroom is a little bit far from the main dining area, you have to exit through the kitchen (which feels a little odd) and go through the rear hallway before you arrive, but it's accessible and tidy. there is usually parking right in front of the cafe, and if not, there is plentiful parking in the woodside plaza shopping center, which is shared with lucky, rite aid and a few other retailers. read more

As we walked in, the gentleman informed us we can sit wherever we'd like. They offer outside and indoor seating; but the only outside seating that was left were directly in sunlight so we chose inside. The menu has your classic breakfast choices. I decided to go with the breakfast burrito( can't go wrong with a burrito, in my opinion) and I wanted to try their biscuits and gravy. My meal was awesome, no complaints. Food came out super quick and I love the fact that server automatically brought the condiments out with the food( hot sauce, ketchup) instead of us having to ask. Food was for a decent price as well. I was at Woodside Plaza around noon, and noticed their outdoor dining setup, and ordered a BLT, fries and Coke ($18.82). You order inside at the counter, and then they bring the food out to you when it's ready. The BLT sandwich was fresh and tasty, with the usual ingredients; crisp bacon, lettuce, tomato with mayo on toasted sourdough bread. The fries were crunchy, but potatoey soft inside.
