We stopped by Oak & Stoney while visiting, and honestly it turned into one of those meals where you…read morekeep saying "okay this is the last thing we're ordering"... and then order something else. First, the food was great. We tried the mushroom burger, the smash burger, and a quinoa bowl, and everything was really good. The burgers were flavorful and satisfying, and the quinoa bowl made us feel like we were making at least one responsible life choice that day. But the real star of the show was the self-serve beer tap wall. They give you a wristband, you tap it on the machine, and pour whatever beer you want. Then you just pay for exactly how much you pour. Which sounds responsible... until you realize you can try a little bit of everything. We ended up sampling several different beers because it was just too fun not to. Tons of variety, and everything we tried was excellent. The only suggestion I'd have: it would be amazing if there was a small tasting station so people could try. When there are that many options, choosing can feel like a very serious life decision. Overall though, great food, a really fun concept, and a cool atmosphere. 10/10 would absolutely come back... mostly to "responsibly" test more beers.

On the advice of the really nice man at the car rental, we stopped here after our flight. I wanted…read morebreakfast. He wanted lunch. Kids weren't very hungry. I got avocado eggs on everything biscuit. Outstanding! He ended up getting the breakfast burrito (last minute change of mind). Kids got a mini waffle and fruit bowls. Loved it! A great place to eat when no one knows what they want! Oh, and they have a lot of different beers if you're into that.

What a great find !!! We were on our way to Gulf Coast Center and found Pelican Larry's with the…read morehelp from YELP !!! It's in a small center near the FGCU campus, just South of the shopping center. They have comfortable inside and outside eating areas with the bar splitting between the two. David, our bartender, was a delightful guy. Attentive, friendly and full of great conversations. Happy Hour specials all week long. Today was Tuesday.... Thus we ordered "Buck-a-shuck" oysters. Very plump. Serve cold on a bed of ice with cocktail sauce & horseradish sauce. They were fabulous!! We would definitely stop again because there are other items on the menu to try.

Drinks were reasonably priced. Definitely got to try the Larry's Lemonade. Was a refreshing drink (alcoholic) especially in the heat. I wouldn't say there is anything special about the food except it's typical bar food and reasonable prices. Pretzel sticks for appetizer were a little tough and didn't taste too good. Cheese with pretzels was nothing special, just tasted like plain nacho cheese. The Grilled chicken Caesar wrap was good and the fries were like potato wedges. Fries are a must with your sandwich! Husband said his blackened grouper platter was good, nothing fancy but decent flavor. Will visit again because the food was good with reasonable prices and nice outdoor patio!
