I recently had a social media and marketing strategy session at Sabra Design offices with…read moreKonstantin and Obed. I signed up for this session only after facing the fact that, as a brand new business owner, I could no longer avoid twitter, instagram, and the others and instead should begin using them to my advantage! As a non-techie however, this at first seemed a daunting task. Though I am still most definitely a beginner, Konstantin and Obed have gotten me going in the right direction for sure. And I don't just mean the right direction for using twitter. Much more importantly, Konstantin helped guide me in clarifying the direction of my business, my audience, and how to effectively reach them. If you are a new business owner, I highly recommend signing up for a social media strategy session at Sabra. I came away from this session with much more than I bargained for. That's the thing about Sabra Design, they deliver beyond expectations. My session didn't just include a to-do list for starting to use social media, it included great advice on getting over writer's block and making blogging a habit. If you want to work with a team that proves repeatedly (I've worked with them 2x in the last 5 months, and I consider myself a client for life) how committed they are to quality work and to their clients as individuals, you needn't look any further than Sabra Design.

I used these guys to do some graphics, logos and brochures. We printed some of the items and we…read morewere really happy. Later, I asked for copies of the Illustrator and vector files and they refused to turn them over stating "we do not do that" and "they are professional files." It was really disappointing because I am very technical and I sometimes like making my own edits and design tweaks. I felt like they were forcing me to use them to do the edits (so I would need to pay them) and all the printing. I mean why can't I have the files. I paid them to make them and what are they really going to do with my files. I think the counter argument is they are artists and they own the rights. I call BS because this is not art, it is a business owner paying for a service and a product. I will not hire these guys again because I do not feel this is an honest approach to business. No one told me I could not have the files when I hired them either. Perhaps this is a difference of opinion but I will let my wallet speak by hiring another someone else for future projects.
