The hot chocolate was also lovely - rich, chocolatey and filling. The service is friendly and food is served at reasonable speed. To be fair the salad was big but I do think the addition of salad actually makes the place a little on the expensive side. Without this the sandwiches were good value. They were tasty and made with good quality bread and filled with plenty of mozzarella & pesto. The cakes looked amazing but we didn't have room!

The owner is extremely friendly and makes the broodjes to order. They also recently just started selling Cronuts. We ordered a few broodjes and a couple bowls of her chicken soup. She offers white and multigrain baguettes. Both breads were fresh and fantastic. All the broodjes as well as the soup were delicious but her egg salad with speck was out of this world. I highly suggest not only making Ghent a destination but when there stop by for a broodjes at this great spot.
