Reminiscent of a hospital cafeteria, very ho hum bland interior. The service was very slow despite there only being 3 tables who hadn't been served. It wasn't particularly pleasant. I ordered a chicken wrap, and it only had 3 small pieces of chicken in it, the rest was filler (lettuce mostly). it was very bland and just not impressed at all. pretty pricey for a small place like Townsend. This restaurant is such a gem in a small town. As a city girl with access to all varieties of food joints, I wish this little cafe existed in my neck of the woods. The decor is homey yet simple and inviting, the bees Knees Latte rivals one of my faves back in Vegas, and the food portions were larger than I expected. Our family got the Eggs Blackstone Florentine, Rise and Shine, the Southwest Omelette and the Pancakes. All of it was delicious (the pancakes were the best I've ever tasted). Came here for lunch with a friend who lives in the area and we shared two different sandwiches. I would order either again (we had the BBQ Chicken wrap and the Double-Cheese Panini) or try one of several other menu items that looked good. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Had a lovely breakfast yesterday at this restaurant. Service was a little slow, but to be expected with lack of help I believe. Service was very friendly, place was very clean, and food was good. Would go back and try their lunch too. The hamburgers coming out looked really good. Warning for credit card users. They do charge you a service charge. Have to admit was a little shocked by it. I'm sorry but anything less than a four here makes me wonder if the rater has ever been to the restaurant they're grading. While another more touristy place in town steadily loses quality (according to locals), I can say with absolute certainty that Townsend's "Bread & Butter" is among the best dining businesses I have frequented... anywhere. The food's presentation, taste, and price are all commensurate the great atmosphere and most excellent serving and kitchen staff. Breakfast is simply unmatched in town. If you want a full belly of grease and salt however this is definitely not the place to look for it, the food at B&B is wholesome and good. I really wish the "Figgy Piggy" was still on the menu but alas, all good things must come to an end. read more

A very nice place! I have there a few times. It's a good place for breakfast and lunch. The last time I had their breakfast burrito. It was good. I would recommend them to try making smoked pulled pork, with homemade hash browns and one easy over egg. They would need a smoke to make their own pulled pork. Besides that the waitress and staff were very friendly. Nice atmosphere. I don't mean romantic but a nice comfortable cozy restaurant where people dress nice casual. The next I go to Bread & Butter, I would try to remember to snap a pic of my meal. read more

The service was good. The restaurant is clean. The food is not so great. The Southwest Chicken Wrap had a lot of everything except chicken or taste. The Cranberry Turkey Club was awful. The turkey looked and tasted like pressed cheap turkey. The one bright spot was the Earl Grey iced tea. It had a nice presentation and tasted really good. I am pleasantly surprised and impressed with my experience here. I am in town almost daily and have wanted to try this place out for a while. I finally got the opportunity to stop by this week and have breakfast. My husband ordered the Country Fried Steak and I had the Eggs Blackstone. The Country Fried Steak wasn't dry or mushy at all, in fact, it was the best I have ever tasted. My husband ate the entire serving which was extremely plentiful. The Eggs Blackstone was absolutely fabulous. I added avocado, which in my opinion, was perfectly ripe for serving. The toasted French bread underneath was crisped perfectly and wasn't soggy, even with the hash-browns right next to it. Speaking of the hash-browns, we were both delighted with how crispy and tender they were. The hollandaise sauce over my eggs was superb. We both were so impressed with our choices that we didn't say a word to each other during our meals. Our service was wonderful too! I wasn't able to check this lovely gem out the last visit to Townsend but this go around I've been twice in three days. Let's start with the restaurant itself-- so freaking adorable. It's clean and modern but still feels like home, very welcoming. The service is great! The ladies are so nice and provide great suggestions. They seem like a family; makes for a nice vibe. Now the food: Omg! If you're a fan of Starbucks and like the pink drink, you have to order the mixed berry early grey tea! It's way better than the pink drink and far more refreshing. I also ordered the lavender breeze. Not kidding, the feeling I had on the first sip was-- just order it. Our first visit we had breakfast. My dad ordered the biscuits and gravy and I ordered the French toast (came with bacon) and an egg over hard. My dad just about wiped the plate clean and I thoroughly enjoyed the French toast. The hint of orange really takes the French toast to another level. For lunch today I ordered the peach tea and the one o clock Whistler and my dad ordered the earl grey tea and the bacon egger. My dad devoured the burger. We both put a bit of jalapeño relish on our burgers but I have to say it wasn't needed just taste extra good. The flavor of the burger was *chefs kiss*. (The burgers come with kettle chips). Finally dessert-- we had the spice cake with chai glaze and the gluten free brownie. A-MA-ZING. The chai was so good when we came back for it today it had been sold out since 9 AM! The brownie is perfect if you're used to gluten free baked goods and if you aren't it will be one you love to eat. All in all-- I love this place and highly recommend it! read more

I had the turkey and bacon panini and my wife had the grilled cheese with bacon panini. We could only eat half; had to take the rest with us. Tasted awesome. And if you have enough room for dessert, have to try the fresh baked pies, cakes, and brownies. Mother and daughter owned business in a clean and modern environment. Very friendly waitstaff.
