Found 1st Call Water Restoration online and honestly didn't expect much at that hour, but they were on-site in under an hour. The technician walked me through exactly what was happening, what the drying process would look like, and set up equipment that same night. What stood out most was the communication. I always knew what the next step was and never felt left in the dark. They worked directly with my insurance adjuster, which took a huge weight off my shoulders during an already stressful situation. The crew was professional, respectful of my home, and clearly knew what they were doing. If you're dealing with water damage, stop scrolling and just call them. Genuinely the best experience you can have in a terrible situation.

Had a slow leak behind my washing machine that I didn't catch in time. Called 1st Call and Joey…read moredrove out to San Antonio to take a look. Right away he pulled out his moisture meter and started checking the walls methodically. Wasn't just eyeballing it -- he was getting actual readings and walking me through what the numbers meant as he went. He pointed out two walls I never would have suspected. Said the moisture levels weren't right and that based on how the leak ran, the damage had traveled further than what was visible. Insurance had already been out and agreed to cover one room and that was it. I figured that was just how it was going to go. Joey didn't leave it there. He put together documentation with all the readings, mapped out how the water had traveled, and went back to the insurance company with the full picture. Before we even opened the walls I had a feeling he was right. Sure enough when we got in there mold had built up in both spots he flagged. It had been sitting long enough to spread and none of that was in the original claim. Insurance ended up approving the additional damage once they saw everything Joey laid out. I only paid my deductible. That's it. Guy knows what he's doing and he doesn't just hand you a bill and walk away. He actually sees it through. (956) 432-2254

Not once did he mention there would be an up-charge. We told him what a great job he had done (everything still wet) and before we arrived home he sent us an invoice with $100.00 up-charge for the interior. Why was this not mentioned when we were there? If we had known we could have decided on whether to have him continue to the exterior or do things that were missed on the interior or maybe even to finish. But the choice would have been ours to make. Very unprofessional. FYI- after the carpets dried all the stains came back!
