Dr Campbell took care of my foot problems as fast as he could! He is very sweet, a straight shooter, and very professional. Everyone who works around him is wonderful too. I had a problem with a podiatrist I was seeing up here in slo county so I decided to go down to Santa Barbara county because I knew there are great surgeons down there that I dealt with before and they would put me in the right direction. And of course they did and I saw Dr Campbell who had a five-star rating and decided to ask him to fix my foot. I know gas is not cheap these days but it's worth every penny to go and see him. I'm very pleased with him and the work he's doing for my foot. read more

What good can I even think to say! Staff not friendly or knowledgable, always have to wait at least 1/2 hr. Went in to get a form taken of my foot, they didn't have the material so I had to make another appointment. After five appointments with them we finally got the AFO brace. It won't fit in the shoe!! The doctor could see that, but just told me to buy a bigger shoe! Seemed totally uncaring! I ordered a bigger shoe, still won't fit. Called the doctor two or three times, never called me back! Eventually saw another doctor at the practice and he agreed that the brace would not fit in a shoe! He sent it back. Five appointments and a bunch of money spent....FOR NOTHING! read more

Dr. Campbell is friendly, respectful and has made some good suggestions for treatment products of fungal infections. Why the low rating then? Im in the waiting room for 20 minutes, get ushered into the exam room. Dr. Campbell comes in, trims my nails and cuts a couple places on calluses with the same snippers , and gets me out in 2-3 minutes. Seems so hurried I'm afraid to ask more than rudimentary questions; like: how does the infection look? Is it going away? Then he says, "nice to see you," and it's time to get out. Last time he cut my calluses with nail clippers my skin split open in two places in the same locations. Every step caused horrible pain for a couple of weeks. I realize he's got a busy practice with lots of patients, and 6-week Medicare foot checks are probably not a great money-maker as compared to surgeries, but come on - he is getting paid, and my feet are important to me! Brayton Campbell, DPM - Air Cast, for speedy recovery! - Podiatrists Near Me - Santa Barbara, California

He great and very caring. Office was efficient. And I was welcome right away. The only thing that was strange is they have a virtual receptionist. A little strange but everyone that was working in the office was great. read more

Back in 2015-2016, Dr. Campbell performed 4 foot surgeries for me (lapidus bunionectomies, akin osteotomies, ORIF, and hardware removal) and the results were spectacular. My feet remained flawless and pain free until an unrelated injury to my foot and ankle occurred last year. And I really mean flawless - I became an aerial acrobat (as a hobby) and was literally hanging from my feet regularly with no issues! I initially had the unrelated injury I mentioned treated by a former colleague of Dr. Campbell at UFAI in Santa Monica due to the fact I now live in Los Angeles. When I had exhausted all non-surgical treatment options 10 months later, and surgery was the next and only step, I decided to track down Dr. Campbell. I discovered he now works at Foot & Ankle Concepts at their Westlake Village and Santa Barbara locations. So I made an appointment with him for a second opinion on my injuries and surgery recommendations; the one hour drive to Westlake Village was definitely worth it. He still has that excellent bedside manner that always put me at ease. He still caters his explanation style to the patient's needs. He doesn't start out by throwing heavy medical jargon at the patient, but he doesn't shy away from it if the patient asks detailed clinical questions. I am going to have him perform the surgeries, even though the surgery itself will take place in either Oxnard or Santa Barbara (100 miles away), and all follow-ups will be in Westlake Village. I feel so much more at ease knowing he will be performing the surgeries. He always goes above and beyond to help ensure his patients get the best care possible. He has a comforting balance of confidence and humility. He also told me that he is happy to perform my surgeries, but that the doctor I was seeing before was also equally competent and I would be in good hands there if I would rather avoid the long drives. But that made me even more certain Dr. Campbell is who I want doing my surgeries. I have a lot of anxiety about surgery in general, and Dr. Campbell makes me feel a lot less anxious about it. I also want to mention that his receptionist in Westlake Village, Liz, is very nice and helpful! I sometimes ask a lot of questions, and she never makes me feel like I'm being annoying or bothersome, which is greatly appreciated! read more

I had a litany of problems with my feet and Dr. Campbell addressed them all one by one in a professional, caring, and methodical manner. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Campbell for any foot-related issues that you may have. read more

Doctor Brayton Campbell is great. His staff, however is non-responsive. I paid for my orthotics, because I was told the insurance may not cover it. I was later informed that the insurance did in fact pay. They said I was owed a refund. I have called several times, and they keep telling me the office manager will call me back. This has been going on for a couple of months now. Very unprofessional. read more

It has been over a year since my first surgery. I become more content everyday with my decision to trust Dr. Campbell with my health and well-being and to trust the UFAI with the billing/insurance. My pain is gone. My toes are straight - as if I never had bunions. My scars are faint; some are completely gone. I can walk, run, jump, skip. I can do anything! The UFAI is everything one could dream of when seeking out any kind of podiatric care. They are seemingly magical when it comes to handling insurance claims. They have successfully, immediately, reversed several claims my insurance company attempted to deny (which insurance companies love to do). I did not have to pay even one penny more than I agreed to at my pre-op appointments. Even more magical than the perfect management of all financial aspects of treatment is the treatment itself. The UFAI has made incredible discoveries through their research, and those discoveries have led to amazing treatments of many foot and ankle conditions. I am immensely grateful from the bottom of my heart for Dr. Campbell and the UFAI. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!! read more

Dr. Campbell explained my condition, set a treatment, gave great pointers for avoiding the problem in the future and made orthotics for me. Following his instructions and advice, my foot is better--no more pain. read more

I went to Dr. Campbell with a painful bunion on the outside of my right foot (tailor's bunion). I was expecting to hear the "surgery" option as a path forward. Instead, he was able to shave off the callous buildup causing the pain. I felt immediate relief and today can't even tell that I had a problem. He asked me to return in a month for follow up. Awesome service and even better, he fixed me up like magic!!! read more

Dr. Campbell is fine, seems competent and helpful. Staff is rude on my most recent and prior visit, and incompetent, including front desk and billing. on my last visit, which will be my last, i arrived at 920 for a 930 appointment, was sent to a room where i waited until 10 and never saw doctor or staff and finally walked out. read more

The doctor has changed practice groups and is now at Foot and Ankle Concepts. H e is a superb surgeon and his methods are consultant with the latest and best techniques. I cannot speak more highly of his knowledge and expertise. I had a complicated ankle surgery that was so very well done. Feet matter, and treatment standards are not as as high as Dr. Campbell's among many podiatrist docs. Plus he is low key, accessible, and authentically interested in his patients welfare. To be such an exceptional medical talent he is still free of the arrogance that afflicts so many of them . A great experience to have had his services when they were really needed to stay pain free active and very mobile. Good for everything- orthotics, minor foot problems sprains or rebuilds of a whole ankle and foot. First saw him 3 years ago when he got to town, and now 2 weeks post surgery I continue to swear by him. read more

I took my mother in to see Dr Campbell today for the first time. He is polite, caring, knowledgeable and modest, introducing himself using his first name. He took his time to listen and offered conservative treatment suggestions. My mom and I really like this doctor and will be coming back to him. read more

This is a review that my father wrote as he doesn't have social media. I have met Dr. Campbell and agree. This is an enthusiastically positive review of Dr. Brayton Campbell, UFAI, who performed complex surgery on my ankle. I am 70 years old. Dr. Cambell is the fourth surgeon I contacted over a 5-year period. I was told early on that my ankle was in very bad shape and required tendon, ligament, and bone correction. The first 3 refused to perform the surgery, two of them being the "preeminent" foot and ankle doctors in the region I lived. In both visits I was offended by the dismissive and arrogant attitude presented, as if I was guilty of asking them for help. Moving to Ventura County from Virginia after my wife's death in 2015, I again tried to find a reputable surgeon an the area and was fortunate to find UFAI, and then Dr. Campbell. I was impressed with Dr. Cambell's quiet confidence and easy manner, and with the time he spent explaining the options for treatment, and with his support for my choice to attempt the complex surgery. All of the patients I met while visiting his office gave him outstanding reviews. I never felt concern about the procedure, and the results far exceed what I was led to expect from the earlier meetings with the surgeons on the east coast. Finding Dr. Campbell was much more than good luck for a guy who had almost given up. To me, it was a blessing and a miracle. read more

I am so thankful I read the reviews on Yelp regarding Dr. Campbell. I suffered from hammertoes especially on my left foot. It was extremely painful to walk. My first impression of him was that he was kind, knowledgeable, and caring. Surgery was scheduled in September 2017, outpatient at Cottage Hospital. Surgery and recovery have been relatively easy. All the horror stories I had read about never came to pass. This is a doctor who knows what he is doing. Two of my friends with foot issues have also gone to him and they are as pleased with his services as I am. Dr. Brayton Campbell moved effective October to Foot and Ankle Concepts on W. Padre Street, If you need a consultation or need surgery for any of your foot issues I highly recommend you go see Dr. Campbell. There's a reason for all the five stars on Yelp. He's amazing. read more

Dr. Campbell is like wow, and he's totally cool. He diagnosed what's going on with my feet and ankles right away and sent me to the right professionals to assist with the diagnosis. I'm fairly surgery averse due to bad experiences, but he's impressed me so much I would reconsider my position. He has also made me realize that I got boned by my work comp docs who under-diagnosed the severity of my injuries. I have every confidence that you would also be impressed with his skills. Will update if I go ahead with surgery or something. Please note - it's rare that I'm so impressed with a physician these days. Most disappoint, or have a bad attitude - as with the other podiatrist I went to in Lompoc who told me that I had to lose weight. Thanks, a-hole. As if I didn't know that. I would be doing much better with my weight if I didn't have problems with my feet/ankles from work injuries. Dr. Campbell takes me seriously and treats my feet. read more

I was so surprised to hear the last review. I had a completely different experience with dr Campbell and his staff. I just had surgery by dr cambell last week and from the very begging I have had nothing but caring attention and appropriate scans and treatment plans. He right away ordered an mri and on the next visit he did standing X-rays. Let's talk about his bedside manner. I am an extremely nervous patient I worry about all things with my health and every time I saw him he reassured me and spend lots of time going over what to expect. The day of the surgery he came in right when he got there to check in with me and let me know it was going to be fine. I was impressed it was not rushed and he even then went over the procedure. After the procedure he gave me his cell number which I did need to call the first day and he was caring and helpful. Saw him Tuesday he changed the dressing and I was actually quite impressed how good it looked. I'm not going to lie it is the most painful thing ever but he is great at helping support his patients and give them what they need to feel better. I have not felt through this whole process that dr cambell did anything but help me.He did not try to sell me anything. Oh I also wanted to comment that dr Campbell is young and he talks like a peer not an older doctor with an ego. I like that because he does not tell you how you should feel he listens and knows what he is doing! Anyways can't say enough about him or his office staff. They are all really wonderful. It is up to individuals to make a decision about their health, but definitely check him out you will not be disappointed. Good luck with your search. read more
