Here's the program description from their website: "The core of the Rainbow Company is its ensemble of 40 dedicated students, ages 10 to 18, selected yearly by open auditions. The Rainbow Company Ensemble members work in all aspects of each production. The costumes, make-up, sets, lights, sound and backstage crew responsibilities are all handled by Ensemble members under the tutelage of professional directors and designer." My God-daughter has been a part of this program for 4 years now. I love the open audition aspect of the program. Of course the best part is the performances but her exposure to all aspects of the production as stated above and then some, makes for a truly awesome experience. From beginning to end, she learns what has to happen for a successful production. To me, this is a great way for kids to learn about project management in a controlled and most of all FUN environment. Excellent skills to learn for this thing called life. The Theatre has an orchestra section and the live music really enhances the production. Everything the students work: Costumes, props, sets, etc is fantastic. The acting and musical talent is great and it's amazing what these focused kids accomplish in their shows. The theater is intimate and every seat is a good one. At $6 a ticket, you get a full production show (with intermission), support a great program, and you get a night's entertainment from some talented students. Enjoy..! =)

So, I was excited to attend a conference at Rob Roy's Innevation Center. The facility exceeded my expectations. The Center features multiple conference rooms of different sizes, layouts, and decor. Every room is clean, modern, and well lit. The chairs are comfortable, everything is spaced out well, the sound system is clear, and there are plenty of outlets. There is also a game room, a lounge area, lockers, a kitchen, a dining room, and a zen room. It is, by far, the coolest conference venue I have seen. Switch also focuses on minimizing its waste and carbon footprint, which is a big plus in my book. The facility includes hydroponic displays and energy efficient appliances. If you have a chance to host or attend an event here, I highly suggest you take advantage of that opportunity.

We will definitely have the Rizzos prepare food for future gatherings. Great food and lots of fun!

The price is very reasonable vs RBC Heritage in Hilton Head that I played last year. That course also hosts a PGA tour event, but costs nearly 3x as much as TPC Summerlin. The course is a challenging course that requires strategy on the tee shot. You have to aim at certain landmarks like bunkers and trees in the distance to set up your next shot. In addition, you can't just hit driver off the tee on every par 4 and 5 vs most courses. You have to be able to hit shorter clubs like a 3 wood and 5 wood. Lastly, the greens are fast, so if you are not careful you will find yourself 3-putting (normal is two putts, great if you one putt). Secondarily, the staff is one of the nicest I have met. Starting with Chris in the pro shop, to the marshal who hails from O'ahu, and the grill staff: Everyone is super friendly and nice. I hope I am able to play the course again. I like the layout: It is visually appealing. Be careful if you spray the ball though. There are lots of hazards. Bring lots of balls! LOL

Pathetic, I know, but this girl never learned how to roller skate so I was like a fish outta water. As I clung to my husband and the the edges of the rink for support and stability, I still found myself having an amazingly good time at Down & Derby Roller Skating Disco. This Roller Skating Disco is held at Gold Spike every third Wednesday of the month. There is no cover and roller skate rentals are free. All you have to do is sign a waiver and hand over your ID in exchange for some skates. It's basically FREE fun. Roller disco attire is encouraged, and plenty of people took this to heart. People-watching kept me plenty occupied. The music was surprisingly good. The outdoor DJ mostly played 90s hip-hop like Easy-E's "Cruisin' down the street in my '64" and Biggie Small's "Hypnotize". Got me right in the nostalgic feels. Roller Disco starts at 9PM - this is not the time to show up fashionably late. The line to get skates gets insane by 10:30PM. We arrived at 9:20 and only had two people in front of us. :) Alcohol prices are average for downtown. Bartenders give all alcohol out in plastic cups with a cap and straw for your skating convenience. A small sized draft beer was $4.50. One of my friends said they paid $8-9 for a simple cocktail. All in all, Gold Spike's Down & Derby Roller Skating Disco is as good as it gets! Even better if you legit know how to roller skate lol. It doesn't get any better for a cheap, fun night out on the town on a Wednesday night. YELP 100 CHALLENGE 2015: #242
