The scope of the project was a planned remodeling of my master bedroom and master retreat which included new flooring throughout, new lighting fixtures, painting, and installation of a new electric linear fireplace. I was impressed by Sam on our initial phone communications- he was extremely professional and offered many suggestions that we ultimately included in the final project. After we signed the contract, he started work on the exact day that he had promised, and he and his team worked every day until it was completed. They actually finished a bit earlier than stated on the contract! Each of Sam's workers were very respectful of my property, and always left the work area very clean. Throughout the process, Sam showed a particular attention to detail that I truly appreciated. He has a good eye for color, and helped me to pick out colors for my walls, flooring and fireplace tile that really complement each other. Sam and his team constructed a wall length framing for the fireplace that truly exceeded my expectations. The finished product is simply breathtaking! Sam and his team will be returning after the holidays for the 2nd phase of the project, which will transform the master retreat into a custom designed walk in closet. I am certainly looking forward to working with Sam again!

The truth is he under budgeted for the job and then continued to ask for more money and finally I cut him off and had to have someone come in to finish it which is the final product he posted. Those are my photos and they were professionally done. This job was supposed to cost 82k per his proposal. He cost me over 50k more than that. He left an incomplete interior. No front porch. No back deck. He never paid the electrician or the plumber. I can provide all details, along with texts and invoices. Besides my personal feelings on the quality of work or lack there of Joe and JMAC Contractor's beat me for a lot of money. I will also post a picture of him actually giving an excuse about him going back to the job almost a month after his cell phone was turned off and he no showed me. We used a company that has been around since 1968 doing everything for a home from remodeling to building. Our roof was done by them about 7-8 years ago. During that time we had issues of leakage in the sunroom and living room, shingles came off from light wind and last night was the worst. All other neighbors didn't have that used another company. Based on this experience, I DO NOT recommend using Weather Tek in Dunellen, NJ. I hope they don't have any involvement in the new complex being built near the Dunellen train station. Aside from a wonderful installation, they even clean up any mess they make during the process and removed the old shower door that was left. The window locks won't engage because the windows are not square. Many of the roof rafters didn't reach the facia board. The roof started to leak where the addition met the original house. The HVAC system never worked correctly. He was doing other jobs at the same time so a lot of days no one showed up. The job took a long time. Then months in to the job he wanted more money. Thousands over the original quote. We said no and He walked off the job and left it half done. He was very rude and nasty. My mom passed away shortly after and when we tried to sell the house it failed inspections for electric, structure, foundation and HVAC. We had to sell as is and lost a lot of money. What a nightmare!

I called the office last year in August and asked if I could have someone come by and replace eight (8) of the windows and I have yet to hear back from the company. In retrospect, it is probably for the best. If they are not calling back and my windows are so very hazy, I will look elsewhere.
