Not one of my favourite stores. I find the shoes usually quite over priced. I can find better deals when going into the centre.

It has the usual High Street names, ie Dorothy Perkins, River Island, Burtons, Claires Accessories, Thorntons etc. they also ocaasionally have small stalls set out in the middle selling gifty type items. They do special events in the school holidays and to promote other keys times, ie Halloween or Christmas. It has an undercover carpark attached, which is not too expensive and is good for when it is raining. There are two coffeee shops in the middle, my favourite is Esquires. All in all, this is a good place to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon, for some retail therapy.

I am the first to admit that they are not the cheapest shoes to be found on the high street, but have to say in this case i am a firm believer in the old adage (or as my nan used to say) you pay for what you get! The Braintree Clarks staff will always take their time( in my experience) to measure your childs feet and get the very best fitting shoes for them. I have walked out with nothing before when the staff have not been 100 % happy with the fit or style for my child. I have never had a problem with a pair of Clarks shoes for my children and have always been in the position where the shoes have been outgrown, rather than outworn. For that reason i would rate this the top shop for children's shoes and would urge other parents to shop here first!

This is a great quality shoe shop in the centre of Ipswich town. Instead of selling all kinds of…read moreshoes this particular shoe shop just tends to sell named and branded shoes, not trainers like you may think (although there are a select few) mostly shoes like Doc martins. the store is fairly small but big enough to show the shoes of to there full potential, most of the shoes are neatly displayed on the sides of the walls. The staff are all friendly and willing to help and when I went in to buy my friend a pair of converse high tops (his favourites) they were very helpful. My only negative points about this store is apart from January they don't seem to ever have a sale on and being the bargain hunter that I am this is not good for me. Although I feel that the name and brand of the shoes needs to keep its quality, hence why there are no constant reductions.

The shop is quits large with a wide selection of shoes, the thing I like is the fact that they put all the same sizes together in one place so you don't have to do to much rumaging. They also have a great kids section where you take your ticket out (like at a dehli in a supermarket) wait till your number is called. After they have tested the size and width of your childs feet they show how they should fit properly and check the shoes on them. They now have a new system where if you take your child from birth they will takes photos of each section of your childs first shoes/steps onwards which is a nice touch. The shoes are a little pricey but you pay for the quality or if you are a bargain hunter like me you cheat. I get my sons feet measured before they have a sale so I know what size he is then as soon as the sale is on I can get the great shoes at a reduced price.
