But, I can't believe how far $250 a night got us in this resort. The suite was incredible clean and spacious. Everything seemed relatively updated, maintained, and very clean. The resort grounds were immaculate. The lodge/style resort rooms looked great. The adult-ish pool area looks much better than the online pictures. In fact, we commented that this was the one resort we've ever stayed in where the pictures didn't do the room and grounds justice. Most places filter and photoshop the crap out of their pictures. The staff and clientele were polite and friendly. The strip is nearby, if tourist traps are your thing, but the resort feels secluded. The only thing I can think to comment on is that there really isn't a view, which is no big deal. I think that's why it's priced slightly lower than the other resorts that have views. The grounds are nice enough to look at and the aforementioned aspects are more important. We'd stay here again. It was a nice surprise.

Turns out, the tickets were for something called "Elite Cimema III" not IMAX. Had to cancel those and buy 4 tickets to see it in actual IMAX, which came to $100 with another non-refundable "administration fee." They should be paying ME $10. I did all the work.

When I went to pick up my tickets from the box office the woman was very rude and told me someone made a mistake and charged us for 3 teenage tickets instead of 3 adults. She then increased the amount I owed...DOUBLE what I was quoted. I had a certain amount saved back for this show and when she tried to double it, that's a lot of extra money owed!! I argued with the lady about it and said it's not fair to double my price just because someone here made a mistake. It's not my fault. She was VERY rude and told me if you want to talk to the owner you can, but I can't make change the price. I said I would talk to him, so she told me to come inside. (The ticket both is outside the theater) When I got inside I explained to the owner the situation and he went to the ticket booth and came back and wasn't helpful either. I had a Buy one Get one Half off with the Branson Guest Card, which I told them about when I reserved my seats, and he said even if he honored that I would still owe extra money because we are adults and not teens. I once again told him that I never told them on the phone that we were teens!! He said well let's ask the show producer, who happened to be in the lobby, and she said just charge $10 extra dollars. This is still more than I was quoted, but $10 sounded a whole lot better than twice the price. So I went with it. So...I got back to the hotel and went on a Branson message board site to warn people of the trouble I had, and someone responded from the theater and acted very rude about the situation then. You'd think they would be appologetic, but no...they basically said you never know what people try and pull and they have to be careful not to lose money. At this point I was about ready to cancel my tickets and find a different show....BUT I'm glad I didn't!!! We went to the show not sure at this point what to expect, and it ended up being in my top 3 favorites on this vacation!! The singers and dancers were so much fun and were very talented!! The music was great and there were so many costume changes. I was sitting in the front row and a couple of the guys kept coming down to sing to me...even brought me on stage to dance! I loved the show!! I wish they'd have DVDs available of the show, because I would've bought one for sure!! Just wish I wouldn't have had such a hard time with the box office and the supposed business man behind the show. Oh...I bought a CD of the show music...and it's good, but it is a different cast than the current show cast, and in my opinion the current cast are much better singers than the group on the CD. This is a great show with a great variety of acts. They have close up, Illusionist, danger magic,…read morementalism. I felt like the female magician, Samantha did a lot of the heavy lifting, but that's just me. Though I think the assistant actually had the better levitation. Though that was probably the intention to constantly ramp up the effects as the show went on. It was nice to see some effects that I only ever heard about, such as lifting the fridge that seemed to change it's weight. I enjoyed adding the appearing of people inside it, they do know how to add a lot to each effect. My friend who did not watch a lot of magic really enjoyed it as well. I think we both were absolutely mystified by the dove act and enjoyed seeing some razor blades from mouth. Well I could list tricks all review. Let's see, anything bad? Hmm...I guess I'm not the biggest mentalism guy, but I know my friend liked it. Guess I'm just a visual dude, and there was some work to really make the mentalism finale epic. This is a great show for the family in Branson. Definite reccomend.
