Matt's Motors in Gainesville, TX -- Read This Before You Lose Everything…read more This review is not written out of emotion. It's written out of experience--costly, painful experience that no one else should go through. After my work truck caught fire and I lost $17,000 in tools, I turned to Matt's Motors to get back on my feet. I gave them $3,500 down on a 2014 Chevy 2500, thinking I was rebuilding. Instead, I walked into a dealership that operates more like a trap. I insured the truck through Geico while still at the dealership. One week later, due to a checkbox error (accidentally marking "commercial use"), Geico canceled the policy. I didn't know--but Matt's Motors did. And instead of giving me a single courtesy call, they immediately threatened to repossess the truck. Then came the first lie: they claimed I canceled the policy, which Geico confirmed wasn't true--and also confirmed they're not even allowed to disclose that kind of information to a third party. I corrected the issue and got full commercial insurance through Progressive. The truck was covered. The payments were current. But from that moment on, I was treated like a problem instead of a customer. Later, I moved both my truck and my wife's car onto a single standard insurance policy to save money--still fully insured. My crew was using the truck in Frisco for a customer's job. Water heater in the bed. They walk into the house, come back out--the truck is gone. Matt's Motors had it repossessed with zero warning. Left my crew stranded. Left my business in limbo. And when I called, they falsely claimed I didn't have insurance. I had proof in my hand. I emailed it to them. They wouldn't respond. I called back, was hung up on. I showed up in person, calm but direct--and was told, "You're not our customer," and threatened with the police. Days later, I received an email stating they wouldn't honor the lease, and that was it. No explanation. No recourse. The truck was gone. Then I saw it: listed for sale on their lot. The exact truck I had upgraded with over $3,400 in custom parts--rims, lights, grille, interior, and more. They kept everything. Kept the payments. And they reported it as a repo on my credit. Matt's Motors found a legal way to strip people of their vehicles, their investments, and their dignity, and get away with it. They didn't "help me rebuild"--they watched me struggle, then took everything when it was convenient. I've since spoken to others who've had similar experiences. This isn't a one-off. This is how they operate. So if you're reading this, please take it seriously: Stay away from Matt's Motors. Don't give them your time, your money, or your signature. There are plenty of dealerships--honest ones--where you're a human being, not a transaction waiting to be flipped.

I was first an older student with a baby and Mr. Marler made sure I had a car that would last me the whole time I was going through my time at NCTC. The car did without any problems. Then after school, I bought my next car from Mr. Marler and it lasted and lasted me for many good times. I later traded that car in for an other car with less mileage. Every time Mr. Marler was there to find me a car that I liked and that was a great car or van that I really enjoyed. Now, that baby is looking for his own car because he's old enough to get his drivers license. We love Marler motors! If you want a good priced used car you can trust Mr. Marler and his crew. Remember that the car you pick is what you get. Marler will advise you, BUT listen to him. That's what we have done and has worked out every time!

Then within a year we had to replace the radiator, and finally had to give up on it when it blew a spark plug on my way to work. Any time I would call about something everyone I ever talked to was rude. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy! I can honestly say they are the rudest, most unprofessional, worst customer service establishment I have ever done business with.
