We had Brandy Caruso take photos of our 1 month old daughter. First thing, we really appreciate how her pricing is so clearly explained on her website and very reasonable for the quality of her work. She went absolutely above and beyond. She is a natural with coaxing babies and super patient. She took an amazing set of photos of our daughter both with her eyes open and closed/sleeping and wrapped up in a cute little ball and with her little fingers over a bedsheet. I found this photographer through a groupon for Boudoir photography. I'd have Boudoir photos done before and had loved the experience and couldn't wait for more. Upon arriving for my shoot I had to wait while the Photographer took her young child and dropped him off somewhere. After that it was time for hair and makeup. The makeup artist was wonderful, chatty and very good at her job. I felt like she and I really had some good conversations while she prepped me. The photographer, however sat typing on her phone while I was getting my makeup done and hardly spoke to me although she did address the makeup artist a few times. I tried to strike up a conversation with her, telling her that I also worked in the photography business but she didn't seem overly interested. I did not feel that she was interested in me. The shoot itself was somewhat lackluster. The photographer kept pausing to look at her phone to get ideas from Pinterest. I realize that she normally shoots babies or pregnant mothers but it spoke of a lack of preparedness for a service that she was advertising experience in. At one point her husband called and she answered the phone, speaking to him for a few minutes while I hung out...in my underwear. Awkward. The shoot did extend beyond the hour allotted so I didn't feel like I'd been shorted even with the interruptions. After a few weeks I was told that my photos had been edited and I could come back to view the photos and pick out the ones I wanted. When I arrived I was taken down to her home office and left there to flip through the photos on my own while the photographer went to do something with her son. The photos were not fully edited, and I was told that I would receive the fully edited versions a few weeks after that. It is hard to choose what you want when you can't see the final product. There was also not a lot of variety in photos I was shown. I did receive my digital photos a few weeks later and I'd been told they were to be 8x10 in size, but I was disappointed to see that it was a VERY LOW resolution 8x10. I sent one of them to my professional lab and printed at 8x10 size and the photos were poor quality. I've been hesitant to leave a review for several reasons. I understand that this business is one where people are always growing and improving, and this photographer does not specialize in this branch of Photography. Boudoir photography and newborn photography are very different things. However having spent a decent amount of money and time invested in this shoot I was very disappointed with the entire experience. My last shoot made me feel like a princess, but this experience left me feeling rather frustrated. For those looking for a Boudoir Photography Experience there are other companies in Denver that I think might be better suited to it. read more

Brandy has done milestone photos for all 3 of my kids. Newborn, 4 months, 8 months and 1 year. I LOVE getting photos taken of my kids so frequently their first year of life as they grow so quickly! She does a wonderful job with babies. She's so patient with them and will take as long as she needs to get great photos. Her studio is comfortable and she has a ton of props and outfits for the babies. I am always really happy with the photos. I would highly recommend. read more

We had an opportunity to have a birth photographer present for the birth of my surrogacy babe. I have to admit I was a little apprehensive about having another person in the room for the birth but we are completely in love with all of the moments she was able to capture. After 19 hours of labor none of us were in any condition to take pictures so I am so thankful to @brandycarusophotography for the amazing job she did and the keepsakes of the precious memories she supplied. read more

I spent a lot of time searching for the right photographer for my maternity session. I wanted a certain look and I knew I made the right decision when my husband and I met Brandy for our shoot at Star K Ranch in Aurora. I knew what poses I wanted before hand and Brandy kept those in mind the entire time. The pictures we got back were stunning. I was 8.5 months along and enormous but the pictures luckily didn't reflect that. When my son came along a couple weeks later, I decided Brandy would be my choice for his first photography session. He was only a few days old but when I watched Brandy with him, I knew she had a talent for newborn photography. She was able to pose him with such amazing skill. She provided props, backgrounds, and I especially love that she is open to whatever the parent wants. However, she knows to not force a pose on the child and can tell when something is working and when something isn't. I went back to her for his 6 month pictures and will go back to her for his 1 year. Brandy has been very accommodating with me (I drive from Elizabeth just for her!) and my family.
