The outside sitting area was full of patrons so we made way inside. We were greeted by the staff with a warm welcome. We received our drinks and a sisha and proceeded to watch a mix of videos in English and Egyptian. After a couple of rounds of drinks we made our way back to the hotel. The very next night after a great meal we decided to go back. The greeting was great and they appeared to genuinely be happy we came back with the rest of our group. We sat indoors to enjoy the modern interior design. We ordered a couple of non alcoholic beverages that were made just like cocktails and ordered a mint hookah that was perfect. The music that they were playing was low enough to hear yourself talk, but high enough to get into the groove if you want it to. I would personally suggest some modern music to be mixed in with it as well. All in all our service was impeccable, drinks were delicious, and hookah was flavorful and perfectly packed. Different employees and horrible hookahs/shishas combined with terrible drinks and bad customer service. My hookah/shisha tasted disgusting. The water was dirty. It hadn't been changed. When I brought it up, the waiter said they don't change the water everyday, they don't have to. Gross. Ewww. I told him it tastes terrible and isn't packed right, he just shrugged his shoulders. Then the drinks arrived. Wow! I'm speechless as to how nasty these drinks were. Unbelievable. It tasted like throw up. I told the waiter again, he shrugged his shoulders and said we can go someplace else if we are not happy. Unbelievable! He still charged us, we paid and left. Each Waterpipe is about 8 Euros each. We ordered the MInt flavor and the Apple flavor. The mint flavor was tasty, but was not nearly as strong as the Apple flavor (may or may not be a good thing) The service is pretty janky. We had a party of more than 6 people, and they only give us 1 mouthguard. Why bother even handing out that mouthguard then? They don't put enough coal on your water pipe. They also don't check up on you - if your waterpipe is dead, you'll ahve to wait a while before an an attendant comes to help you. THat made the experience far less than satisfactory. If you see another shisha bar, I would recommend going to that one besides Xara Cafe. 2/5
