Dr. Sheikh has been our dentist for about eight years. He is a compassionate person and the best dentist I have ever been to. The staff is second to none, professional and caring as well... You won't find a better dental office anywhere, worthy of the ten star rating I'm giving them! Also, as I read through some of the negative comments, I had to just smh. The one that was absurd to me was the veteran who said this facility don't like veterans- NOT true, I'm a veteran and they have always treated me kindly!! As a VA 100 percent veteran I was their patient for a year. The do not want to serve veterans. They held my care for over 7 months saying VA is not approving their plan. But the never contacted the VA about my care. But yes their were good removing two of my molar's and never got fix not the broken crown when I went in as an emergency. Don't come here unless you have ALL DAY to wait, and definitely don't come here early in hopes of getting seen sooner- because you'll be waiting several hours past your appointment time. The work was ok, but they made sure to get full payment out of me first and then they were going to submit the required Endo Prognosis, full xray, Perio Chart to my insurance. Well it's been over a year and they have sent none of of the required evidence even after I have asked several times. My partner went to this clinic a couple weeks ago to get his bridge re-cemented. A little history about his bridge - he got it made at a different country April 2021. It has never moved or got loose until September 2022. We went to this clinic since it was one of the few that are open on Saturdays and since they were backed up, the earliest appointment we got was October 1st. Now, we paid this procedure out of pocket and it was a whopping $250+ for adding a minimal cement on the bridge. We even drove 50 mins to the clinic to get it done. A couple weeks later and my partner calls me from work saying the bridge fell off again! He stopped using the bridge for chewing after we got it reattached and he avoided flossing that area too, so there was no way it was because of something he did! So I immediately called the clinic and they kept telling me "there's no guarantee" over and over again. Yeah, I understand they told my partner about this during his procedure, but it could at least have taken several months rather than just a couple weeks! I'm just asking for them to take just a bit of liability over the work they did and they just tell me they will basically charge us in full again if we ask them to reattach it! I mean, it could be a quality issue or they didn't put enough cement to keep it in place? They kept on suggesting that we have the bridge re-made and blamed the quality issue to the one we had before. Edit: 7/2021- After over a year and some serious turnover at the office, my dental procedures still aren't done. We got to a point where they tried to alter my plan due to my teeth getting worse. After that visit, I never heard from them again. They will not take my calls or texts and hide behind the new receptionist while I'm on the phone. I have paid off my full balance but still have yet to speak to anyone because they won't return a call nor will they take my calls. I'm asking to be refunded the money I paid for procedures not done. I still have temporary dentures a year and a half later. I have fillings that still need to be done as well as caps. I really can't understand why they won't communicate with me about this but I will never go back to them. At this point even if they tried to make things right, I wouldn't go back to them on principle. I feel like they have stolen from me and that I'm going to have to see about taking them to court to recover my money. I satisfied my end of our agreement and they have just blown me off. Do not lose your money at this place. The dentist makes you feel like you're a bad person for having bad teeth. I came to you for that reason, what would he expect?! I'm seriously floored. I don't like to leave bad reviews because I try to give everyone a chance to make things right first...I went here from a referral and was originally given an estimate for $12,000 for 10 crowns, 5 fillings, scaling teeth and nightguard as I don'thaveinsuranceand was paying cash (which was paid in full). Got to the second crown and it fell out a total of 4 times in 2 days, was put in backwards one of those times, and was out of town on family emergency when it fell out the 4th time and could only be back home Fri-Sun (which they don't work on Friday and no ER service offered) so when I finally could get ahold of someone I was told to use Fixodent?!?!? Needless to say I went 2 1/2 weeks missing the tooth, unable to eat and had to drink thru a straw to avoid pain. Due to current situation I had to cancel my treatment plan and ask for my remaining balance be refunded. Am being charged over $5000 for what was done...2 crowns, 4 fillings and the scaling!! When questioned, I was told I would not receive "the discount" that was given so I paid over $1500 per crown, over $300 per filling and over $1000 for the scaling!!! I complained about this as the contract states discounts will not apply if treatment is cancelled but that is after for HMO, Medicare and VA which I am none of and was told someone would be calling me to discuss and try to work something out and I would have my refund on Friday...actually told her I wouldn'tleave this review or take any other steps if resolved..still waiting so here it is. I have since called around and this seems like excessive pricing so I guess my next steps will have to be filing complaints to the BBB and State Board of Dentistry to look into and court if I don't get my money back today. Take my advice...shop around as there are more competent, more reasonably priced dentists in the area that DO work on Fridays or can help you after hours in case of emergency. So after seeing their $59 special on a web search, which caught my eye, I checked in on YELP to see what others were saying. I noticed mixed reviews, and figured as like anything else, I'd have to go see for myself. I called and made an appointment to see Dr. Shiekh for a second opinion after seeing my regular dental practice. I arrived early and was seen right away. Yes, the office isn't the new fancy place I'm used to, but it was clean, the equipment works, and the staff is friendly. I brought my care plan from my dentist, and they did a second opinion for free. They did their own x-rays, and another exam, and unlike my current dentist (an associate dentist of the popular sedation guy in New Port Richey and TNC), I was impressed with Dr. Shiekh. Dr. Shiekh checked my blood pressure, asked a lot of questions, and asked me multiple times if I had any questions. Next I spoke with Adrianna, who does the financial side of things. They didn't take my insurance, but still gave me a huge 20% discount off of my treatment plan. I called back after thinking about it all weekend, and made an appointment to come back. Adrianna went over a few options for payments, and went over everything with me in detail. I then received a call from Dr. Shiekh a few days later letting me know he spoke to my cardiologist, and to go over a few pre op things with me. Once again, he asked me many times if I had any questions, and made sure I understood everything going on. I arrived for my appointment yesterday a little bit early, and they took me back on time. As a lot of dental offices, things pop up, and they had some equipment issues early in the morning, and they were running a few minutes behind. Dr. Shiekh once again checked my blood pressure, went over everything with me, and asked if I had any questions. You can tell that your safety and comfort is top priority with Dr. Shiekh, and he doesn't do anything until you fully understand what's going to happen and why. During the procedure to extract my top teeth for upper dentures, Dr. Shiekh paused to check on me every two minutes, and to ask if I was okay. Every so often he'd ask if I wanted to stop for the day, or did I want to continue. Dr. Shiekh makes sure to keep your comfort and safety high priority throughout the whole procedure. I always have Rachael or Jordan ask my dental assistants, and they are both extremely nice, make sure you're comfortable, and answer questions, while smiling and setting everything up. These two, along with Adrianna, and Dr. Shiekh made the whole experience a positive one. On my way out, I was given a few Rx's for pain meds and antibiotics, and verbal instructions, along with an appointment for Monday morning for a check up after the weekend. The one complaint I have, is that it would be nice to have printed after care instructions, as there were a few things to remember, and after going through a very traumatic procedure, I hope I can remember it all. One less very minor con, is this is the first dentist not to send you home with a tooth brush and floss, but I have those at home...LOL Overall, I am extremely pleased with Dr. Shiekh, his staff, and the facility. I waited until my third visit, which I actually had a procedure done to finally post a review. I will update as I go, and if you live in Pasco County like I do, rest assured, this man is worth the drive. Time to go eat some ice cream, I'm on soft foods for a while ;-) read more

My wife has been going to this office for 4-5 years but I never would due to their pricing and financial policies. Dr Sheik is a highly skilled dentist but the way that they practice is horrible. He is the only dentist in the office and at the last visit he was seeing 5 patients at once, which is common at this place. Going from chair to chair and never spending more than a few min. with my wife before leaving, passing her off to a tech and when they couldn't get it right returned for a couple of min. then off again. This appt. was made in advance and she was supposed to get 30 min. for an adjustment to a denture that we had them make. You see they make you pay 100% in advance and they got our money long ago so they have no incentive to get it right now. So what she got was a rush job, then out the door. What she has now is very rough unfinished smells and tastes horrible from the product that they used, and I'll need to polish it smooth myself. Hardly worth the $1100 I had to pay for in advance which was my mistake. Put simple, they got their money so they no longer care. So beware having this type of work done here. Once you pay, good luck having them make it right. She had them do this work based on previous care that she had Dr. Sheik do but we are regretting it now. read more

I was going to have implants and crowns and extractions, all adding up to over $13000.00! They said I do not qualify for partials, I have to do the implant. I planned on going ahead with it until a week before the procedure when they finally explained the process. I was overwhelmed and nervous, and after discussing with my husband, I decided to get a second opinion. I did tell them, and agreed to go ahead with the crowns while I decide on what to do. After taking several days off, and readjusting my entire schedule, I showed up to my appointment to find the door locked, with no-one inside! I immediately called them, and they did answer, claiming that they closed for the tropical storm and that they called me the day before. I assured them that I did not receive a phone call, and after a short argument about it, I just told them to refund my money, I will go somewhere else. They called me the next day apologizing saying that they thought they called everyone but some people got missed. They said they will process the refund to my card. This was July 8th. After patiently waiting, and still not seeing the refund, I decided to follow up with them around 7/20, they assured me that they processed the refund on the 19th. Of July. I just got off the phone with my credit card company, there has never be a refund requested! 42 days later!!! Are you kidding me? I am so upset right now. They took my $13,199.00. Now the credit card company says I have to wait another 45 days. I have been experiencing tooth pain for months and will have to stay like this for another 45 days because they are either too incompetent or untrustworthy. Oh and by the way, my second opinion has no idea why they said I didn't qualify for the partials. But I do. Partials are 1/4 of the price of implants! read more

Everyone here is genuinely nice and great at what they do. :) I was baffled because there were a dozen hidden reviews for this place here on Yelp and I read them and they weren't good Yet there were good reviews on google. So I looked at the profiles on yelp of the people that wrote the bad reviews and they aren't real reviews at all. These people have no other reviews and /or friends and for some reason have a grudge against this establishment or someone there. Everyone was great, from the secretary's ,to the hygienists and both dentists I dealt with. The D.D.S. That did my root canal today was T.Crawford D.D.S. He is a sweetheart of a human being who has a great sense of humor and makes you feel at complete ease. My root canal literally took fifteen minutes. seriously, and it was painless The fist dentist I met was Dr.Sheikh and he has an amazing beard! and also a very nice person who was very candid and honest about what I have to do to my teeth. The greatest thing is that no one person in there made me feel embarrassed to be there or talk about what I have to do to have a healthy mouth and that's super important to me. I feel very lucky to have met such an amazing staff of people. we were all joking around by the time I left and it was fun. Another cool thing is that they take payments and no one really does that. I mean seriously, I don't know how low income people afford dentistry because insurance is horrible and doesn't do much and who has thousands on hand? Went there for an initial review and that went well. The staff was nice but the wait for long and my appointment was late. The office happened to not be a part of my network so after I already paid for the x Rays in my initial visit, I was forced to pay again to obtain a copy of those x Rays to take them to a dentist within my network. I have been in multiple offices and I was never charged for a copy of x rays I have already paid for. I was genuinely impressed with this entire establishment! I was able to walk-in to be seen for a broken crown. They didn't preform the original work but they were more than happy to help. I was a walk-in on a Friday so there was a bit of a wait but considering the other factors I didn't mind. The entire staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The exam was paid upfront and there were no hidden costs or charges. I was told of the extensive work that would need to be done, but surprisingly thier suggestions were much less aggressive than the dentist that put the original crown (that really looked unnatural). I was offered Care Credit to pay for the entire procedure(s), approved in minutes and they got started about a half hour later. The Dentist was professional and actually pretty "gentle". The Dental Assistant Sara that created my temporary crown at Brandon Smiles was exceptional! I've NEVER had such a great experience at the dentist. I've never heard of a dentist where you had to pay in advance for dental services! It seemed very weird to me. After getting X-rays and examined by the dentist, I was sent to talk to the finance person...it felt just like it does when you buy a car...quite a sales pitch. They also didn't want to clean my teeth until all of the (expensive) work was completed. The dentist and the tech who took the X-rays were very nice but something just seemed fishy about having to pay for dental work up front, weeks before it was scheduled to be done. I was going to pay with cash or cc too, not the financing. The prices they quoted also seemed high. Took our daughter in for an apt. They had a new patient special for 59 dollars for a comprehensive examination, full set of digital x-rays and healthy mouth cleaning. At the end of the apt. I asked about the teeth cleaning, if it was going to be done. I was told no, that she needed to have a full x-ray done and she only had a partial one done. She explained that after xrays, the dr would perform exam. She didn't mention teeth cleaning, so I wanted to confirm it would be done too. But she said normally cleaning done at a follow-up appt. She left room & next thing I know the receptionist was standing over me lecturing me on their policy of not doing cleaning at the same appointment as xray & exam. I told him he obviously did not inform me of that fact when appt was scheduled or else we wouldn't be having this conversation. He basically continued to argue with me, insisting he was right & I was wrong. So I got up & walked out without getting anything done. What a waste of time. Worst dental experience ever.
