Wow, my wife showed up a few weeks early to make a new patient appointment. She spent about a half…read morehour filling out the forms, then turned them in to the receptionist so she wouldn't have to fill them out on appointment day. Now, a few weeks later, we come back for our appointment and the forms she filled out are gone. They think they were shredded. Why would they ask her to spend her time to fill them out if they were just going to throw them away? And then now, as she's filling out the forms on the iPad "kiosk", she stops to look up some of the information they're asking for and the device logs her off, erasing everything that she's entered up to that point. And the staff can't help because the device didn't save anything, so they ask her to fill it all out AGAIN. Now, things happen, and how the staff deals with customers goes a long way to how the patients react to these things. The staff here is very rude. Even when they apologize, you can hear the disdain in their voice. If you don't want to work here, then don't. But don't take it out on the patients. That's not a way to stay in business.

He is patient, knowledgeable, and very thorough, always taking the time to answer my many questions without making me feel rushed. His kindness and professionalism are truly appreciated. The overall experience at the office is also top-notch. Wait times are minimal, and the intake paperwork can be completed ahead of time, which I find convenient. The front office staff and nurses are always friendly. Honestly, I couldn't ask for much more!

If by some miracle you do get to keep your appointment -good luck though-you wait one to two hours past your appt time or they push you on to a nurse practitioner and they're just doctor wanna be's that aren't smart enough to make it that far and they charge you as a specialist who can't legally diagnose you like a REAL doctor can so you're wasting time and money. The waiting room is so filthy. Take a look at the floors and ask yourself when you think the lat time was it was cleaned. Then there's the matter of the heavy set receptionist who's rude and smart mouthed.

Not covered by insurance. Also in the two and a half years that I've been seeing him I actually saw him in person one time. All the way through my liver transplant and everything I never actually saw this dudes face. It's always been one of his partners. This Douche in my opinion doesn't do shit and thinks I'm going to pay him 2500 dollar fee for nothing out of the blue? His excuse is is he's got to many patients and he want to be able to provide better care. Is it my fault he took on too many and too much? A 2500 dollar fee to receive the level of service I should have been getting in the first place? So I guess since I'm poor I have to find a new doctor. Even if I could afford it why would I accept a 2500 dollar fee out of the blue? What a great caring doctor. I think not.

I am writing this complaint to inform the public about how the general healthcare for the public…read morehas deteriorated to a very low level at Max Health in Seminole. First, let's start back at Christmas time in 2023. I contracted a very severe upper respiratory infection. I called the office and informed them I needed to come in and see the doctor. They asked why I needed to come in. I told them I was sick. I was then informed they do not see patients in the office that are sick. HELLO??????ARE NOT DOCTORS SUPPOSE TO SEE SICK PEOPLE???? I was forced to do a video with a nurse practitioner. She did try but what she prescribed did not work. In about a week, I was worse, and I called again. I was told they could not diagnose the problem with a video. I was then told to go to Urgent Care. I did and all they did was to prescribe over the counter drugs which did not work. In other words, the facility abandoned me, and I was left to my own accord to find something that would work. Terrible, just Terrible. It was the first sign that this practice did not show concern for the welfare for the patient. Two, my wife has Parkinsons and sever impaired eye impediment. Our present Neurologist has said her present symptoms do not make any sense, so he wanted my wife to see a Neural Neurologist at USF. We made that appointment around last October and the first appointment was in August of this year. When the doctor saw her medical files, he moved her up to January 31st of this year. Something in her file got the doctor's interest. My wife waited for approximately three and a half months looking forward to her appointment. On January 30th at around 2:00 p.m. we received a call from Neurologist office indicating the primary had refused the referral. I immediately called Max Health and asked why they did not call earlier and what was the problem. I was told that they needed more information from the neurologist. I tried to get information to them but was unable to do so and we had to cancel our appointment. My wife was devastated. We were told that if we could get the referral quick, they would try and work her in. I could not get Max Health to release the referral even though we gave them the information they requested. I finally found out that the head doctor was holding up the entire process and pulling all my wife's files. I kept calling in and still received no information. As luck would have it, I cut myself bad and had to have my stitches taken out. Would you believe it was the same Dr. holding up the referral? As she was removing my stitches, I confronted her as to why she was holding up my wife's referral and overriding two board certified Neurologist? She got very terse with me and yelled at me "I AM THE MEDICAL DIRECTOR AND I CAN DO WHATEVER I THINK IS RIGHT." When she finished my stitches, she stormed out of the room. After leaving the office, I contacted our insurance company and received a copy of the local primaries. I went over and interviewed one near us and really liked them. On Monday my wife had a appointment with Clarkson and his opening statement was," YOU ARE DOING THE RIGHT THING BY LOOKING FOR A NEW DOCTOR BECAUSE YOU WILL NEVER BE HAPPY HERE." When we left Max Health, we then went over to the other primary and my wife also liked them, so we immediately signed up with them. I told them about the referral situation, and they said they would take care of it after they saw my wife. They saw her and did a complete examination of her. By the time we finished the examination, the office personnel had received the referral and sent it to our insurance company, and had it returned and before we got home, we received a call that they had sent the referral it to the doctor in Tampa. All of this was accomplished in about three days. Someone needs to explain to me why Max Health did what they did? After that meeting with Clarkson, We went home and signed up with our new primary doctors. Our insurance company did a great job of getting us signed up with the new primary doctors effective as of 02/01/2024. So, at this point the old primary had been terminated. The date was around 02/06/2024. After all that was done, on,2/24/2024, we received a copy of a letter from the old primary to myself and my wife. Both letters were the same. They asserted they were now terminating us due to frequent missed appointments. We have never missed an appointment with Max Health. That is just a blatant lie. Also, we terminated them well before they wrote their letter. Once again, a lie. I question the ethics and morals of this company and their desire to maintain a high quality of wellbeing and healthcare for their patients. In our case, I do believe they did take actions that were injurious to both my wife and my wellbeing. I have filed a formal complaint with our insurance company and have been told there is a chance my complaint will be forwarded to Medicare. Before you make the decision to go with MaxHealth, I strongly urge you to co

The office just had to mark a check mark saying I have diabetes and heart disease. Then an authorized signature. Signature didn't even have to be the doctor's. My diabetes and heart stints obviously are data in my records and there's absolutely no reason to be seen for my past records. Office staff is not that friendly although there are a few that are. So if you're looking for a cheerful friendly greeting, this is not the place for you. As a doctor Joel was polite, respectful , and listened to my needs. I am extremely dismayed by the downward turn of this office. I am not sure if it is because they are part of Advent Health now and they are to big to manage their practice or if the office just doesn't attract the best Doctors anymore. I know for a fact that the office staff is not as thorough and proactive as they need to be. They called us new patients today, really. (This sentence will sit on its own) After 3 weeks waiting for a follow up appointment for another visit, that was inadequate, the doctor was not there, his schedule changed. That's ok, I get it. Too bad it changed weeks ago and no one told me or rescheduled my sons visit. Too bad I burned vacation time today for nothing. I must identify the positive, Dr. Sehres is amazing and there is another doctor there who is wonderful, his name escapes me. This is not enough to keep me. The specifics aside I will no longer take the kids to the Riverview location because of the RNP and I am actively looking for a new primary care provider as of today. I'm actually a bit sad about the death of this great office and the 2 decades of time spent building what I thought was a doctor patient relationship with them.
