Reviews With Photos - Brampton Hardwood Floors

We purchased raw hardwood oak floors to be site sanded and stained in order to match our main floor. After it was complete we noticed little mounds of sawdust on the floor. After inspection and some research it was determined they were Powder Post Beetles in the wood. This has been attributed to an ineffective kilning process. We attempted to reach Brampton Hardwood numerous times with no reply after bringing it to their attention. They do not stand by any product quality, entertain any sort of discussion regarding warranty/quality and could care less the moment funds are exchanged. Zoom into the pic. The holes are where they came out and the saw dust are new holes. The whole floor has to be replaced. Would you want this in your house? 17K down the drain and another 17K to replace. Homeowner, contractor, business etc. Find someone else more reputable to save your time, money and reputation.

The installation was a nightmare. The installation team cut all the wood inside the house, sawdust everywhere. Didn't cover the floors after installation so they were filthy and covered with dirt. We don't clean it was told. I'm a general contractor for 40 years, never have I seen a shit show like this in my entire career. Store couldn't care less. read more

If I could give no stars I would. Terrible products, terrible install. I'm out a lot of money and this company will not work with us. The same day of installation the vinyl was cracking, and lifting. I don't even live in my home yet. I tried to work with them because they wouldn't refund me. They have tried to lay this floor numerous times. Our warranty isn't even a warranty. I should have truly read all the reviews including Facebook but I missed the few important ones. No one will let me talk to the owner. I have a disabled son who needs vinyl or hardwood floors as he can't use his walker on carpet. The damage to his feet is so insane. We're now going to be moving into this house without flooring. I'm beside myself. I've never been so screwed by a company. My heart is broken, they took every cent we had and ran with it. We don't matter anymore now that they have taken our money. The installer said in twenty plus years he's never seen anything like this and said it's so bad, that that are defective. He ended up writing a letter in hopes to help us. this company wasn't willing to honour their warranty or help. a lot of phone tag and court issues. The product I ordered come to find out is the one they manufacture. One sad mama , in a house that isn't safe for her little babies. read more

This is a horrible business with poor customer service and management. We bought hardwood here based on the sample, came home and it was all scratched and deeply dented- not usable at all and looked disgusting. We came In to get a refund and they wouldn't issue a full refund without holding 15% of what we paid. Disgusting business practices and ethics. Spoke to manager didn't resolve anything, waste of money and time. Save yourselves time, money and energy and go to Lowe's. read more

If I could give a rating of less than zero I would. That may sound like hyperbole so let me tell you about the operation run by Raj and Amar Gupta We bought a very very large amount of flooring from these guys. Once it had been paid their employee "mack" loaded it on a transport truck in such a reckless manner it defied logic. We ended up paying double the shipping costs as a result. A catastrophic accident on the highway could have happened as a result of the load shifting. Substantial damage to the load Then the missing skids and again Mack and Raj refused to deal with it even though we had photos of what was missing. We called to complain - no reply. We used the form on the website and the email on the website - no reply. We sent them letters by courier (trice) - no reply. Once they have your money -- forget it. Unscrupulous is how I would describe Raj and Amar The coup to degrace... They organized an auction and quite unlawfully had Amar Gupta bidding on lots. Bidding up the price at auction is illegal. They used this method to bid up huge quantities of flooring cheating other bidders I spoke to several manufacturers and was told by some "a reason we refuse to do business with Brampton Hardwood In a nutshell don't ever buy from these guys. read more

Finding a product and finish we had liked took time during our home renovations. We decided on flooring from Brampton Hardwood. Once our payment was taken that is when the terrible experience began. We were told it would be a two week delivery which turned into 3 months. Tried to cancel and look elsewhere but they refused to refund the money. Was told I could pick up the flooring on Saturday after waiting the 3 months and when I got there the salesperson told me it wasn't there and who was it that told you to come and get it. It was the salesperson and he couldn't remember telling me two days prior to come and pick it up. After another three weeks of waiting and arguing with him and the manager, who in my opinion should never be in a position of authority, I was told they would ship it to my home free of charge. Great that something was finally free at this point! Now that it could be installed the contractor arranged for his crew to come in. Arriving home that day I am told I was 50sqf short. Was told I signed for 56 boxes but there were only 53 empty boxes, shorted my order. When I went to see where the other three boxes were I was told it is not their problem and that I would have to purchase it. They told me it would be a 3 month wait for it. We looked around and eventually found that is was a discontinued item. Brampton Hardwood is the worst business to deal with and I would never step foot into it again nor recommend it to my worst enemy! If you have any desire to check out their product, run the other way and never look back. All about taking your money and no customer service at all. I wish I had read the reviews on the is store because I would have gone elsewhere. On a good note, we found a very similar floor to finish off the room at Hardwood Outlet on Bramalea Rd. They were professional, helpful, and understanding. A place I will return to for future reno project and recommend to all who ask. read more

#1 for the WORST flooring company in Canada. I ordered some material from them and they gave me 2 different floors....so I went back from an hour away to sort it out hoping they could compensate me for my losses for that day which was around $500 and they offered me $20 fucking dollars for gas.... Worst customer service .. and their material is also shit... do NOT deal with these guys. read more

Terrible experience. They tell you one thing, do another, then the manager won't answer calls. Just before purchasing on June 13th, at the checkout counter, I told the sales representative Vandana that I would be buying 20% more flooring than I needed and that I would return the rest after my install. I asked what the return policy was, she said it's a 30% restocking fee. She also told me the product would arrive in a week and they would call me. No one ever called me. I called and visited the store twice and on June 28th I was told in person that they would be doing inventory that evening and that I would get a call the next morning. I explained that if it wasn't in, I would have to go elsewhere as I was on a very strict timeline and it was supposed to be in a week ago. The salesman took my info and promised me several times that I would get a call right at 9AM. I received no call and I had to go elsewhere to get my hardwood. When I called in to process my cancellation of the order, I was told by Vandana that it was in stock and waiting for pick up. I told her that I would be returning it then and she informed me that I couldn't because it was a special order. There had *NEVER* been any discussion of a special order and she had in fact informed me, at the time of purchase, of the return policy! She then passed me along to Joe, the manager, who answered the first call and has never called me back. I've called 6 times this month and left a voicemail every time. He will not answer and he's ignoring me. Terrible customer service, terrible and dishonest behaviour. Don't go here. read more

If you want garbage product from a complete slimeball business then Brampton Hardwood floors is for you! Their Sales Reps are amazing liars and should be complemented. Management deals with customers patiently by waiting them out in their office until they go away. If you have endless time money the Brampton Hardwood Floors is where you should shop. The warranty on their website is just for show. My floor is really nice except for two pieces that have flaking and peeling that occurred within the first month after installation. The business manager, Joe Reis, called me back once, asked me to send him the order number and he would make the pieces available for pick up. That was a month ago and repeated follow up has been ignored. Don't expect your floor to have any manufacturer warranty as Brampton Hardwood handles the warranty and does not follow through. It's really too bad that the customer service is absolutely non-existent because I was happy until I had a problem which would be so easily fixed. read more

This review may seem like a rant but I looked around other reviews and the common theme and common names that come up with bad experiences are the same. I beg anyone looking for floors to consider other options. I know now that there are tons of options in the GTA for good flooring where you also get customer service that we expect. Our situation was that we we had a flooding in our house and we had to get the floors replaced. Our insurance was taking longer to get us a contractor so we ended up here to look at an option of getting it done on our own. While looking at the floors the sales person (Mr. Kumar) did his job and convinced us on a specific floor. This was all good. I was still unclear on the insurance paying us and I told him that I will check with insurance and then come back. Again being a sales agent he did his job and made us put down a deposit saying that insurance will not matter. I left the shop having put a *deposit* but feeling a little uneasy about this entire experience. I was never told about what would happen if I came back and cancelled the order. Infact they never made me bring that topic up. They just got the payment part done quickly before I could ask too many questions. When I finally sorted things out with my insurance I decided to go ahead with my insurance contractor and decided to cancel the deposit I paid Brampton Flooring. When we called them, their knee jerk reaction was that this order cannot be cancelled. We argued that we did not even confirm the order. We had mearly placed a deposit which in our mind was a temporary hold. Even when we book airline tickets there is an option to hold the ticket. The same when we book a hotel room. After a lot of debate we realised that we were mislead and misinformed about the deposit. We also realised that our money was lost. They said that they would cancel the order but with a 15% cancellation fee. I conceded to the fact that this was my mistake and I should have asked the proper questions before making the deposit. I conceded to the fact that I would have to lose my money. I went back down to their store to get the refund (-15%) back. This is when I got really really annoyed with the behaviour of the staff. The long post and everything I said above I accept as my mistake and have to take it as a life lesson. But what happened at the store when I went down to get my money back I cannot accept and I need to report it here and every other site I possibly can. When processing the refund I asked the sales person who sold us the floors in the first place and a very rude lady (she wouldn't tell me her name but she is either Ms. Vandana Gupta or Ms. Rina Gupta) along with her. The first response was that you should read your deposit slip, it says there is 15% refund charge. My wife was a little agitated with this behaviour so I asked her to step aside so we could all talk calmly. The sales lady somehow seemed to want to provoke us more and when we started asking more questions she pulled out the lawyer card. She tells us that if you have a problem with Brampton Flooring, she herself will advise on what we should do next. She goes on to say that we should get our lawyers and have them contact the flooring company. The flooring company has its own lawyer and they would deal with a fitting response. This really annoyed me. In all my conversation I never even had talked about any legal option and yet here she is asking us to go battle it out with lawyers. I asked her if this is how she deals with other customers and if they have a lawyer because they have so many of these complaints against them. She gives another rude response that they have been around for 40 years and they have seen many customers like us. She really got on my nerves with her I don't care about you attitude. Also if anyone reading this review have any recommendations on how I can report this business to bureau of better business or any such governing bodies I would appreciate the pointers. read more
Don't bother if you want prompt service. I was in toronto for several weeks to renovate my condo. Firat, the person on the phone didn't believe me about what I had as flooring. Regardless, I requested a call back from a service person. Needless to say, after two weeks, I'm still waiting for a call. I won't hold my breath for a call and will take my business elsewhere. read more

I bought floors from Brampton hardwood a few months ago. They're great if you're okay with either installing them yourself or finding a different installer as they don't do it themselves. I got red oak floors and they look fantastic in my living room. The people there were very helpful. They were nice and happy to accommodate. All in all great experience and I'd highly recommend. read more

This Brampton Hardwood Flooring is the worst store in Ontario, or maybe the worst in Canada. Can you image anything worse than when you hire them to install the hardwood floor, during the middle of the construction, the contractor run away and leaves the work unfinished? STAY AWAY from this store. Totally a scam. I can't believe how come such a store can exist. I purchased hardwood flooring in this store and paid them to send their contractor to install. In the beginning, the old lady in the service desk was so rude and made an unreasonable request that we have to pay both materials and labor in full. We refused that request and luckily we did that by saying we can hire somebody else to do the installation then we only need to pay the materials. They compromised in the end so we agreed that we pay the materials in full and half of the labor up front, then pay the rest of balance after job finished. The contractor came to do the work on the scheduled date. During the installation, the contractor noticed the new hardwood floor height is too much different than the ceramic flooring in the bathroom. They can't flat the joint, which we paid that work already. Instead, they suggested us to use T molding cause it will solve the problem and won't need the extra work. They wanted me to go to the store and buy the T molding and probably can claim some credit that I paid before. I took their advice and went to the store to negotiate. I said, I need to buy the T molding and you need to credit me the amount that doesn't needed anymore. Then guess what? The old lady in the service desk said no, you can't claim the credit and need to pay double for the extra work with a reckless and rude attitude. This is ridicules request, and I said. I'm not goanna pay for that T molding. Cause I don't have to buy it in your store, instead I can buy from home depot. The lady suddenly became furious and called the contractor to back out, leave the house unless I paid them full amount right away. She also threatens me that they will call the lawyer and put a lien on my property because I don't pay them. WTF? In the end the contractor left. I was trying to stop them by saying you need to get job done and I will pay you full amount. They said sorry man, I was told to leave and I don't have choice. WTF? What else can I say? Thanks to god that I didn't pay them full amount in the beginning otherwise they will take the money and run. If you don't want this thing happened to you, STAY AWAY from this store. read more

Let me start by saying that I bought a beautiful oak flooring product from the location on Bramalea Road at a good price. I was so impressed I recommended this company to my contractor for future customers. I have since revoked my recommendation. When I purchased the floor I was told that I could return any leftover boxes. I explained that my contractor was not able to install the product for over a month, they told me this was fine and they would honour a return even though it extended two months past their 30 day return policy. Well guess what, they didn't. When I attempted to return the product, two men at the loading dock looked at my receipt and then started speaking to one another in their language and cut me out of the conversation. After a minute they turned to me and said "sorry we can't return this." I went inside the showroom and the snotty woman at the front desk just looked at the receipt and said "nope, we won't do a return on this. Sell it on Kijiji." I asked for the store managers phone number, explained to him what happened and all he said was "text me the invoice number and I will look into it." He ignored all my texts, offers no apology. These people are very quick and eager when they want to sell you their products but don't expect them to respect you once they've got your money. My brother in law had a similar experience with these people and refused to leave the store until they returned his product because they gave him the same promise and tried to renege on it. Avoid and shop somewhere that respects the customer. Most of the floor staff are good, not their fault that they have poor management and a nasty woman at the front desk. read more

Consumer's Original Complaint : Last June, my husband and I decided that we would splurge and redo the entire house in maple flooring hardwood. We had already had the existing floors refinished a few times before by an installer so we called him up first. After coming out to the house and measuring, he told us to get some quotes and decide who we wanted to buy the flooring from. After going to a few companies, the installer called us and said that place he deals with was having a sale and that we could go and have a look there. He deals with Brampton Harwood Floors and there was a location near us. We went one evening and picked out a clear maple floor and paid for it. My husband went to pick it up and when we got it home we discovered that it was not clear, it was knotty and brown. We called the store and the installer and Brampton Floors agreed to supply us with the correct floor, but we would have to drive to Brampton to pick it up (2 trips from Niagara area with a pick up truck). After it sat for a week or so to acclimatize, the installer started to put it in place. After it was finished it was beautiful. Three weeks later, it had all cupped. It looks awful! We have central air conditioning running 24 hours a day and a dehumidifier going. We notified the installer who than gave us the name of the person we should call at Brampton Floors. This is where the nightmare begins. My husband started calling Joe at Brampton Hardwood last August. After picking up a few times and asking us to send him pictures of the floors, he started to call screen. We have left many messages and have documented them all, but he never returns them. I finally called Joe from a different number and lo and behold he picked up! He then attempted to tell me every excuse under the sun. That maple floors will do this, that our house is too humid, that we have hot water heating??? (Not sure what the last one has to do with anything). We have sent him pictures of the floor twice now and not once has he acknowledged them. The last time I called - last week - he said that he would send an independent consultant out to look at the flooring, but it is not the fault of the company that the floor is doing this. We live in an old house and the oak floor that we pulled up was perfect and there was no air conditioning in the house before we moved in 20 years ago. It is not our house or the humidity. The consultant has been out to see the floor but it has been over a month andd he has not gotten back to us either. I am left wondering why we ever dealt with this company in the first place. The flooring needs to be refinished after only one year and I don't think it is too much to ask that the company responsible should pay for the refinishing? If I had bought it from Home Depot or Alexanians, I would not be in this situation. This company is terrible to deal with - they have 6 locations but do not stand behind their product! ******After going through the BBB and a whole lot of back and forth (please read the BBB on this business for the full story) the business will not stand behind their product and we have an absolutely horrible wood floor, completely cupped and needs to be refinished after a few weeks! Do NOT purchase anything on this company!!!!! read more

Purchased 1100 soft of flooring from these clowns, this is what they are, CLOWNS!!! When we first walked in, the owner(vandata, or whatever her name is) pretended to know us and claimed we were regulars...yeah like I buy floors once a week there, let me tell you lol...we got a sample of the floor and left to match our stairs, it did. Came back the next day to place the order. Bargaining goes a long way, if they tell you that's the lowest they will go, they will go lower as soon as they can taste the sale. Called Kumar, their golden boy sales rep, who assured me that they had plenty of stock. Drove there, paid in full, big mistake, and was told to go to the other warehouse to pick up. Spent 30 min while the stock boy walked around only to be told that there is no stock of the product. Ok, stuff happens, called kumar who assured me that I will get the product delivered same night or latest in the morning. Hahaha yeah ok, called him the next day the whole day, and after getting the run around they finally gave me a straight answer that they were manufacturing my floor and should be ready the following day 2 pm. They don't tell you when u buy, they manufacture there own floor. What this means, they buy cheap, unfinished wood planks, probably from China, then they stain it themselves and sell off as a product made in Canada. Told you, criminals!!! After another day they finally delivered, however the wrong product...they changed the invoice to match the product that they made. At this point I had enough, did not accept the product, checked right on the truck and had the delivery guy sign that this is not the product that I ordered. Drove back to their office to only be told to go to the warehouse and speak to the plant manager (the owners son) he reassured me that this is what I ordered and said that my invoice was a typo ( I tell you, it takes talent to come up with such bs) after which he showed me the sample with the size of the floor blacked out and a new size written in with a marker lol...this is the clowns part. Until I showed him a picture of the same sample that I purchased without the black marker he said I can have my money back. Driving back to the office, the owner still insisted on a 5% restocking fee. I contacted Visa and started a fraud claim against these clowns. Also, I spoke to my dear brother who happens to be a corporate lawyer and we are going to small claims court with these clowns... if anyone wants to join email me: protectionexpertsgroup@gmail.com I would be happy to hear your story. Let's make these clowns pay!!! read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE & LIARS - DISHONEST TO THEIR CORE This is a zero star rating. I purchased flooring in May 2016. Horrific customer service then. We wanted to finish remaining floor in house and reluctantly went back to get the same wood (Feb 2019). And not because we wanted to deal w them again - because we wanted the same hardwood for a seamless look in house. They knowingly sold us hardwood knowing the finish had changed. Even though it was same item numbers on both invoices. We picked up and my husband saw it looked different. Called store and spoke with Vandana (who happens to be extremely rude and unprofessional). She indicated it was the lighting and that it was all the same. He brought it home and it was very clearly entirely different. Original wood was a matte finish and the new finish was high gloss. They refused to return it, had every excuse in the book, accountant was in, needed to talk to Joe (operations manager). this went on for 4 weeks. They indicated they would only refund $ if we let them try and colour match the old wood. I made 3 trips to warehouse. Finally Joe met us in person. He assured us he would make it right. They were given a box of the original hardwood. We agreed upon the colour. Now fast forward to my contractor installing the hardwood. (Joe also knew we were going to mix in the leftover 100 sq ft of original hardwood to make it flow) and we find that the new wood is 1/4" wider than original wood. Joe now claims that he never agreed to match the size, only the colour. WHICH IS CRAZY - they had a whole box of original wood and knew it would be getting mixed in with new stuff. I've requested a refund of my $ as they assured they would refund it if they couldn't produce same product. I'm sure this will go nowhere but I am willing to take legal action and have submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau which I encourage everyone else to do also who has had an issue. It is shameful that businesses can behave this way. If they had been honest in beginning and said the hardwood had changed I would have gone elsewhere from the beginning. I'm now out $4K and have hardwood in two different widths in my kitchen. These people are disgusting. read more

AVOID this place at all cost. Long story short I have two little ones, we all go in pick a floor told it will be delivered in 4 weeks. I move into my new place rip the carpets up day off move as my son has severe eczema. We got a call that the floors are delayed. I spent 5 weeks from that point calling Joe and Vandana begging for an update on my floors. It was only when my lawyer sent them a letter that they got their act together and delivered my floors. Within the 10 weeks it took them to deliver my product I got told- "order is ready it will come next week" "order is now delayed" "I cant find your order" "order is stuck at the border" "your order has not even been started yet". Joe referred to my order as the "stupid order". They then responded to my lawyer with Lies stating that they told us it was an 8 week order in the first place and put a new label on the floor sample that stated 8 week order. THIS place is a joke, they are rude, they lie and they are the most dishonest people I have ever met in my life. HONESTLY speaking do not buy from this company they have no respect. I was called "YOU PEOPLE" by the staff there. Vandana is not to be trusted she messed this entire thing up and then would tell me over the phone that she does not have time for me and it is not her problem. That was 10 WEEKS of pure stress in a nutshell. AVOID AVOID AVOID at all costs. read more

Do not even consider buying ANYTHING HERE. We purchased flooring from them at a low price that they bought on "a special purchase" - only to find out later from the manufacturer (Bruce) that it was "tavern grade" and not at all suitable for a home. We asked for our money back two days later and they wanted a 10% restocking fee - even though not a single carton had been moved. I am assuming this was the shyster salesman's commission. They put their lawyer onto us rather than do the right thing. This alone tells you everything you need to know (and confirms what you already knew about lawyers). So, if you don't mind getting swindled and then dealing with a lawyer to get your money back - then this is the place for you. read more

Let me start off by saying if I could give no stars I would. Kumar has to be the most incompetent sales person Iv ever met making promises which he fully admitted infront of his arrogant boss which Ill get back to him in a minute. On monday November 25 I purchased flooring from Brampton Hardwood the sales man was Kumar which nearly jumped me when I came in for my business ( commission based I guess) when asked how much the product was he called Montreal and asked them if it was available and how much. He got off the phone a told me 5.20 sq2 foot which in fact was better then other vendors prices, but with a price of being lied to and screamed at by again the what I believe was the owner or manager. I was promised by Kumar the material would be in the at the end of the week from Montreal, with that being said I arranged for installation on Saturday. On Thursday to be on the safe side I tried to contact Kumar to see if we were on schedule but no reply or call back. So I called there shipping department where the gentleman assured me it was on a truck on it's way to Toronto for the morning delivery. I then called the installer to assure him that we were on for Saturday morning. Friday morning surprise Kumar decides to call me and tell me my delivery wont be in till next Friday. He tried to compensate me with free delivery which he explained was 250$ worth so I told him perfect I'll pick it up myself and you can refund me 250$ as I was charged 200$ by the installers for canceling on short notice. I went in on December 6 to pick up the order and Kumar tries to give me only 60$ cause there not making any profit on the deal what a joke. So I ask to speak to a manager and in comes Joe basically telling me the same story and that he will give me his card for the next time that he would take care of me lol who the hell wants to come back here after my experience. Now what I believe was the owner says to Joe off to the side " why are we dealing with people like this?" " he is a liar " at that point I raised my voice I wont lie. He continued to insult me and wanted to give me my money back and not give me the product at all. How is this man in business. The whole team there are all incompetent, disrespectful human beings. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE. read more

Stay away from this company. They are horrible. I know two people very close to me who dealt with this company. It was a weird coincidence, their only connection is me but I am now hearing their stories of how this company delivered the wrong flooring to their homes after taking their deposits. In both cases, they told them that it wasn't the wrong flooring that was delivered but the one they ordered and in both cases they would not give the deposits back. My friend has since had her money returned but only after filing a police report, my family member still has not had the money returned to him. In both cases Brampton Hardwood employees were rude. I'm writing this because I'm angry for my friends and family member and when I read the other reviews I see that this is clearly a pattern with this company and it is not right. The worst customer service I have ever experienced was at Brampton Hardwood Floors, located at 59 Bramalea Rd, Brampton. I previously bought 20 boxes of laminated floors however this was not enough to finish my project. I went back to the store 3 weeks after to get two more boxes. I ordered and paid for the two boxes of laminated floors I needed to complete my project. I went to the pick-up area to receive my order; the warehouse worker took my slip to get my order. He came back 10 minutes later and informed me that they are out of stock. I then told the warehouse staff according to his company's inventory it shows that you have two boxes in stock. He then called the front office and told them the items that I paid for is out of stock. A staff from the office came to the warehouse and asked me if I can come back tomorrow because it's almost closing time. She also informed me more staff will be in and they would search the warehouse properly. She provided me with a refund and I told her I will be back tomorrow because I can't get the matching laminated floors at any other store. I went back to the store the next day and I explained the situation to the clerk (#1) at the desk and before I could finish explaining, another clerk (#2) starts to speak to clerk (#1) in Punjabi. I asked clerk (#2) to speak English since clerk (#1) understand and speaks English. Clerk (#2) states she was at the store yesterday and she is aware of the situation. I then say to her I still want to know what you are saying because it pertains to me. She then turned to me and states that the item that I need is out of stock. I asked her if she can have someone look thoroughly because the worker that was in yesterday told me to come back today due to the fact sometimes items are misplace. She rudely told me to have a seat and she will call the warehouse. 15 minutes later she informed me that the item is out of stock and it can't be re-order because it's an end of the line item. I was disappointed knowing my options were limited it's either use another color to finish the floor or buy new laminated floors. I went to the warehouse department and I asked the warehouse staff to look for the boxes of laminated floors. To my surprise he told me he found one box of the laminated floor that I wanted and he had informed clerk (#2) of his findings via telephone. I went back to the office to pay for the one box that the warehouse staff found. Clerk (#2) got really upset and states the one box the worker found is sold and she can't sell it to me. I told her unless she can show me a sales receipt I don't believe her. She called for the warehouse staff to come to the office and took him aside to speak to him in her language (Punjabi). Both of them went to the warehouse and 10 minutes later she came back and informed me it's the wrong color the warehouse staff showed me. I told her that can't be correct because I have a picture of the box the warehouse staff found. She then states she doesn't care and if I continue to disrupt the store she is going to call the police. I told her she can proceed to call the police and clerk (#1) intervened and asked me to check the box again. My contractor was also with me and he too saw the first box that the warehouse staff found. We went to look at the box again and right away we noticed that the box of laminated floor was replaced and it didn't match the picture on my phone. I asked for clerk (#2)'s and the manger's name and no one in the store would furnish the information, it appears they are all afraid of her. At this time I felt so appalled and angry I left the store. Clerk (#2) is unprofessional, disrespectful, intimidating and has bizarre behaviour. Canada is a democratic country and the store is a public store. Therefore, you can't choose who you want to sell your merchandise to. If you want to operate your business in that way, by all means go private. I will be filing a report with Better Business Bureau and sue for discrimination. read more

Brampton Hardwood is an awesome place to shop. It was a wonderful experience with my wife and children. Many thanks to their entire team.

First i'll preface the review with the fact that we didn't buy anything from these guys and here's why. After a recommendation from a friend who works at a competitor, we went by the shop on an Sunday, late morning. The place was busy, which I thought was a good sign. We were looking for laminate flooring. They had a good selection of laminate, but not a large selection. Prices seemed decent, and quite a few sales. The reason why we didn't purchase and left unhappy was the customer service. While we browsing a lady who works there came to ask if we needed any info. We asked about a particular sample we saw and wanted to know the AC rating. She told us, but even before she was finished the words out of her mouth, she was turning to leave. Another lady came immediately to us to see if we wanted any more info, and as we asked the question, she just simply walked away. That was it, never came back to assist us. We thought it was very rude. We assumed that since they are doing pretty well for themselves, considering how busy they were, they didn't really care about the customer service aspect. We took some pics of things we might be interested in and left. We went next door to Amazon and Flooring Liquidators, and man these guys were above and beyond on their customer service. Taking us around the shop and explaining the differences in material, and answering all questions. Not to mention to pricing was equal or better to Brampton Hardwood. I will be going with one of the others and not coming back, simply for this terrible first impression. I give it a 2 stars, because they did have some good product for decent pricing. read more

This was a terrible experience for me, like another poster. I arrived there and very nice man named John helped me, I had originally chosen another wood, but was convinced and very much liked the wood that I eventually chose. I would have bought right out, but when I went to the counter, I was greeted by a Woman named Vantana, there was another person there beside me and as Vantana was writing up my order, he said, don't buy anything unless you check the bill. Sure enough, what I chose was NOT what they had on the bill and I was ready to walk when I asked to speak to Vince - He was very nice (considering the potential sale, I would think so), I was told by the dissatisfied customer that had paid for something completely different than what he got, that they get you to buy more than what you need and imply they will run out if you don't take it, so I bought 65 Boxes for a total of $5000+, After re-measuring, I went back and said I wanted to order 23 more boxes for a total of 88. So I had arranged for a friend to come and install the wood and asked him to go there to pick up my wood, at the time he could only fit 65 boxes in his truck, they sent him to 3 different locations where the *SAY* he picked up 21, 22 & 23 Boxes, but when he got here, there were only a total of 65 Boxes which made sense because I had ONLY given him the one invoice that said 65 Boxes. As the installation progressed I was keeping track of what was being used and I was short (if indeed we started with 65) by one box. At the end of it all, we were left with 8 boxes and I still had the 23 boxes to be picked up. I called the Brampton Location and spoke to Sandra who told me "yes, the 23 boxes are here to be picked up". I sent someone to pick it up and low and behold they told him there was only 20 boxes left to be picked up AND they made him wait for 1.5 hours to get the wood. We had calculated that we only would need 11 more boxes out of the 23 box order, and they would release only part of it until he kicked up enough of a fuss. I called for a refund for the remaining 12 boxes and they insisted that I had gotten 14 boxes NOT 11 and that they would only refund me for 9 boxes, after perhaps a very short call, Vince 'Hung Up' on me, saying he would not discuss it and I should give him my credit card number (he said "take a leap of faith"!) and he would credit my Visa. I said no and drove the 45 minutes to get my refund where he showed me a piece of paper saying it was the signature of the person that picked it up (Unfortunately he was not there AND the signature was pretty much the same as the signature of the Warehouse person that also had signed the paper). Vince told me that if I was missing 3 boxes that it was not at their end (apparently they don't make mistakes) and that I'd have to deal with the person that picked up the wood. So I said I would not give him my Visa Card without seeing what I was getting back and when he showed me the credit, I held out my card, he ignored me until I asked *3* times to please process the credit. I asked for a copy of the pickup slip(s) and he said "no" I asked why and he said it was internal paperwork and he could not give it to me. When I said I'd go to BBB and to Homestars - here is what he said "Go ahead. We have a whole department that deals with that." Now why would a company have a whole department to deal with complaints if indeed they were open, honest and dealt with issues appropriately? They are rude there and I'd NEVER do business with them again and I don't mind saying that there is a real language barrier as well, but usually ONLY when they don't want to deal with you. If you have not handed your money over, DON'T because they won't give you the time of day after that. Bottom line is GREED, I've been told there are hundreds of other stores that sell wood and are decent to the people they deal with. read more

Horrible store and service. Do not waste your time shopping there. The representative outright lied to us about the quality of the product. In a few months, when the hardwood floor was showing signs of problems, the store did not do anything to try to rectify the problem. The customer service is rude, they will simply hang up the phone on you if there is an issue. This tells me a lot about how they care for their customers after the product is sold and they receive your hard-earned money. Be careful! read more

Worst experience for shopping at this store, the staff was just eager to grab or get your money and do not deliver anything to you, I went to check the price for hard wood floor, when I first enter the store at entrance I was looking the wood sample when Ms. Vandana Gupta got me and show me the wood, and quickly offer some discount on posted price and got my signature on a paper where 15 % cancellation term return in small letters, which is not readable without reading glasses. by the way from entrance to signature I did not see any sign of cancellation fee or even she did not mentioned She ask me about size of floor, I told her it's approximately 460 sq ft. she calculate the number and then base board, quarter round, wax paper and print a paper, at that point I had no idea what she is doing, then I told her "I am not sure about size as someone need to check this by visiting my home" she ask for deposit which I gave her (i.e. $ 200.00) after that a guy visited my home and found I need 682 sq ft of wood then I went back to the store and ask for complete price, where I found its way above then my affordability, I ask her to cancel the invoice or file and return the deposit, she simply refused it by saying cancellation charges will apply and I have to pay more if I need to cancel, Great rip-off. I asked her to let me talk to the manager or owner of the store and she always said he is not available, I am with disabilities and cannot visit their store again and again, so at this point, it's look alike, I have lost $ 200.00 I hope people will be very careful in dealing with this kind of business as "BRAMPTON HARDWOOD FLOORING". read more

I was looking for an option in dark brown laminate flooring and wasn't finding the closest match anywhere. I wanted the hall way and the room flooring to match atleast 70%. When I visited brampton hardwood store they helped me look at the various options possible and we shortlisted around 4 pieces those were the closest match to my floor. I wasn't very sure which would go well hence I picked up the small sample pieces for those shortlisted though they only had samples for 3 pieces so I had to get picture of the 4th piece. i went home had it matched and got two pieces matching very much woth my flooring. I came back another day they had stock oy for one piece out of the two I liked and another one they said would take around 15 days to be ordered and shipped. I went with the other color that was available immediately. I was very satisfied with the flooring I purchased it looks great on my floor and its almost a match.. sometimes patching up and reworking a floor is a hastle read more

I sent an email asking for help color matching my existing floor, got a response from Wendy the next day, when I came in and went back and forth between engineered and hardwood, Wendy took time with me, didn't rush it, explained the difference between brands and pros and cons, then again color matched via email when u pivoted to hardwood and was spot on when she said the superior whisky color was my match via email. I decided to go with the Superior hardwood in whisky. customer service was exceptional, pricing was so competitive and the value overall can't be beat. I'd encourage you to shop here. I've been back for supplies and trim even though I live in Markham. read more

If you're looking for any type of flooring at discounted prices then I would recommend Brampton Hardwood. They were very busy when I arrived so it took about 10-15 minutes before someone came to help me but when he did, he was very helpful. I shopped around for week, going to Rona, Home depot and others but the best prices I could find were at Brampton hardwood. TIP - make sure to haggle with them, don't just settle on the sale price. The more you buy the more they are willing to negotiate read more

The Brampton Hardwood showroom is very well organized. Almost every flooring type had a sale on it. The sales staff was very helpful and helped me pick out great floors under my budget. If your looking for good prices on flooring in the GTA, I would recommend making the trip to Brampton Hardwood. I only wish they had their own hardwood flooring installers, Instead they referred me to a sub contractor. Still saved a bundle. read more
