I have been dealing with Rudd and his team of experts for about 10 years and the service that I…read morereceive is always top notch . All his counter people are experts and know their products . The delivery service is always on time and eager to lend a hand. All and all we would never even think of dealing with any other company

From the owner: T.C. Murphy Lumber Company can be proud to be selling the worlds most renewable resource, lumber,…read moreat one end of its business and generating its electrical needs by using another renewable resource, water, at the other end. Adirondack ingenuity, hard work and a true respect for the environment can be used to sum up these real life historical events that have taken place at the mill creek dam. The mill was powered by a 21″ S. Morgan Smith Turbine that with a 17-foot head developed 59 horsepower. The water was brought into the mill through a large wood flume and pen stock. The flume was unusual in that four or five logs could be floated in and lifted at the same time with a jack rig, putting the logs onto the skids and ready to roll on to the carriage. In 1958, the wood flume and pen stock were very rotten. The turbine was worn out, and estimates for replacing it were over $6,000 for materials alone. This brought about the decision to pour a concrete wall that would seal off the flume and shut down the Saw Mill. For the first time in 131 years the land on the east side of the mill creek dam did not use the power of the water to operate machinery. This changed with George Van Voorhis III’s vision to use the energy from the dam to produce electricity for the Lumber Company. In 1979 the vision became a reality with the purchase of a 1933 S. Morgan Smith hydroelectric turbine that produces 95 horsepower.

My husband and I BROUGHT 3 CHAINS into Braley & Noxon…read more Today we found out one of the 3 was not right, not a huge deal. Go back and get told sorry cant return okay, but still want the correct chain... Mike at the counter calls back to the "yard" and puts the phone on speaker and starts explaining to Bill that one of the chains were wrong... Bill proceeded to call US (loyal customers & you know they've done it to you as well) "Stupid and keep fucking their shit up" just the tip of what he started bitching about while Mike said "Oh boy..." and quickly took him off speakers phone. ON SPEAKER PHONE INFRONT OF OTHER CUSTOMERS AND EMPLOYEES Calling their loyal customers the lowest notch because they have to do their job. Good family businessman. Andy also returns calls with attitude and no will to fix any issues between loyal customers.

When I asked to rent the stump grinder I was told that it is out of service . The gentleman at the desk advised he was sorry. I asked why I wasn't called earlier and he replied he didn't know. This is a terrible way to run a business. At least a called should have been made to alert me of the status of the machine. I will now buy my plumbing parts, chain saw equipment and other hardware a somewhere else.
