If I could give zero stars I would. After other reviews I've seen, I'm not surprised. I came in to the center a few weeks ago with my husband and toddler for a visit, & on arrival I was disappointed to hear staff down the hall, literally screaming at the kids to "shut their mouths" and calling them annoying. If your workers aren't equipped to deal with kids they shouldn't be around them. Simple!!! My son will definitely not be going there. One of the girls even called herself making a joke telling us to "run while we can" as the manager was on a phone call. Completely unprofessional all around!! They definitely give off a $$$ hungry impression, also learned their food provided to the children is all microwaved & not always the right temperate. The kids are always sick way more than should be, doesn't seem sanitized at all! WE DEFINITELY RAN AND YOU ALL SHOULD TOO!! read more

I'm shocked to see the One Star Reviews. My son has been attending Kindercare in Braintree since April of 2021 and we haven't been disappointed yet. The supervisor even gone out of her way to keep my son with the same girl that my son took an instant connection to the 1st day he started, when my son was moving up to Preschool Class. My son still comes home from school very happy and loves telling us about his day. He even has a great bond with the supervisor & his Teacher. I also love that they let me bring in nut free cupcakes for the holidays and my son's birthday. Thank you KinderCare Braintree for being a great fit for my son and part of our Family. read more

Awful school, the teachers yell at the students all day and grab their arms. They always shuffle the kids to different classrooms because of the student teacher ratio so you never know what class your child will be in when you pick them up. The teachers are always hanging out talking amongst themselves. Save your time & money and don't send your child to this place. read more

My experience at this center was awful. I went to visit child during the day randomly and they were never doing anything except running around. When I asked the teacher were they going to do an activity later, she said just probably play with leggos on the floor since it's just too hectic. My child was in the preschool room, which I would think would provide more interactive activities. I have heard other parents in from the same room complaining as well, asking what their child was doing all day, since they do send home daily reports, you don't get any projects from the day. On several occasions I went there while they were outside and the children either did not have their coats on or were partially falling off, no hats were on and it was 40 degrees outside. The teachers were very inexperienced and very young, I believe both of which were under 20 years old. I do believe they were having a problem with teacher turnover so they had two young girls running this group of 20 children. I'm sure they had no formal education in terms of early childhood classes. I do not recommend this center at all, unless you are looking for a high priced babysitter. The one positive note is the director and the associate director were very friendly, which I appreciated, however my child's educational development was not progressing. My child was in this center for about a month and half and I do not believe he learned anything outside of awful behaviors. Good luck, but one tip, look for centers where the teachers have training outside of the franchise training, formal education which would include child psychology, childhood development. There should be a lead teacher with the most formalized training and the asst with less but they should be attending some sort of classes, at least if you want your child to learn something even toddlers should have some sort of learning. read more

Everyone is always miserable, including two of the directors (only one director actually cared for the children very strongly). My older son attended Kindercare Braintree from age 2-5. He started in the "Twos" room and advanced up through Kindergarten over the years. He was too young to start kindergarten in our town last fall so he stayed at Kindercare for private kindergarten. This fall he started kindergarten at our town's public school and has an excellent foundation knowledge of his letter, numbers, and sight words that was given to him at Kindercare. My younger son started in infants and is now in toddlers. He loves his teachers and I can tell how much they care for him in the way that they greet him in the morning and the interactions that I observe when I pick him up later in the day. The center went through a bit of turmoil over a year ago with a former director but the current leadership team is top notch. They have a good handle on communicating with the parents and send weekly emails about events in the upcoming week. There are also occasional special events such as harvest festival parties and summer luaus that help some of the families meet each other. Kindercare provides breakfast, lunch, and snacks. There's a published menu so you know what they are serving. During nap time, each child has their own cot (vs. some other centers where I've seen that the kids sleep on mats on the floor). For infants, toddlers, and Twos there is a daily status sheet that the teachers fill out throughout the day to let you know when and what your child ate, when they napped and what other things they may have done during the day. The center offers additional classes during regular hours that you can opt into for your child as well such as cooking and dancing. The center has great hours that are convenient if you work full time. they are open from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM. The center is convenient to Rte 93 and to the Braintree and Quincy Adams T stations, which is great if you have to commute into the city to work. We have been very happy with our choice. We actually live in Boston (Dorchester/Quincy edge) and I work in Boston, so I drive out of the city, drop off my child, and then turn around and drive past my house further into Boston. We have been attending since April 2018. The infant room teachers have been great! Yes, has there been an occasional small hiccup? This is to be expected when taking care of babies - what impresses me is the prompt response and change to solve the problem. I am also very happy with the Director and Assistant Director. They are professional but also warm. I walked into the infant room today and the teacher was late. There were already three infants there, plus adding mine. And guess what? The Director was sitting on the floor with the babies, and the Assistant Director was filling out the "check-in" paperwork in the room. I like that they are willing to roll up their sleeves and jump in. We originally picked this center because of the timing (with commutes and full time jobs, we often arrive at 6:30am, and yes, pickup between 6 and 6:30pm). We are still here because we are happy with the care provided. I do not worry about my child while I am at work. They put that extra effort in (they all know my son's name - I could care less that they greet me by name, but I have had teachers who are not even in the infant room greet him when I walk in). Every parent should make the choice that they feel is best for them and their child, but overall, I would say this has been a good choice for us. read more

My child has been in childcare since he was 1 years old. This could quite possibly be the worst childcare I've ever experienced. The requirements/experience/training for hiring staff is almost nothing. They do not care about kid to teacher ratio whatsoever. This is a corporate childcare center so they are solely interested in profits. Stacy (the director) when confronted on any issues is completely unapproachable and will stand by her staff before the care of a child. When I would pick up my child, children would be crying on the floor being completely ignored. Kids are constantly hitting and teaching bad behaviors. When we were there a staff member had to be escorted out the center and we were given no information on it. Not military friendly. My child's entire behavior changed so much that we left after maybe a little over a month. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE, PLEASE. My child is now doing amazing at military child care center! read more

I was happy here while my son was an infant. Then when he moved up to the toddler room, and the biting started, I'm embarrassed to say how many times he was bitten by other children before we pulled him out. They kept telling us this was normal behavior at this age and I, as a new parent stupidly believed them. I know that it can happen, don't get me wrong, but it shouldn't happen almost every week especially when he was only in there 3 days/wk. And half the time they said no teacher saw the incident which didn't make me feel any better. read more

I usually dont post reviews to yelp (I mostly use it to avoid flops at restaurants) however I felt the need to share my expericence with Kindercare Braintree. My step-son has attended the Braintree KinderCare Learning Center for several months now. I have found the management team and teachers to be very impressive and inviting. The material that comes home is informative and organized; he is learning much more than I ever saw at his prior daycare center in another part of the state. Whenever I call or come in, I am pleased with the friendliness and attentiveness as well as how my concerns are addressed. I feel that he will be well-prepared to start kindergarten in the fall as he is already reading a variety of words at four years old. His excitement to attend school with his friends and teachers speaks volumes to what is happening throughout the day. I am confident in the care he receives and the curriculum. I have recommended the center to friends of ours without reservation. read more

KinderCare in Braintree has proven to be a fine center for my child and has gotten much better over time. My daughter has been attending since she was 2 months old and she is now 13 mos. As a new mom I was very anxious about leaving her when I first went back to work, but after a while I felt comfortable knowing that she was in capable hands. Her teachers are very caring and are very open to feedback. They are also happy to give updates on how she is doing overall and once called us at home to check in after she had been home sick for a day or two. We receive a weekly newsletter informing us of the goings on at the center and they even started putting together a few Parents' Night Out programs to allow us caretakers to get a breather! Nice perk. :) She also is very comfortable there and has made plenty of little friends. For the needs of my family this center is great and we hope to be able to keep our daughter there for the years to come. read more

I cannot say better things about this center. My daughter is in the preschool room and my son will be attending the toddler room. Both the director and assistant directors are helpful, organized and super friendly!! The teachers in both of my children's classes are amazing. My daughter started here coming from another center and did not know any of her letters within 2 weeks my daughter was spelling her name by herself and knew the whole alphabet! Every time i come in to the classroom they are doing something fun and educational. My daughter could not be more happier being here, and to me that's what truly matters- I see the happiness in her every day I pick her up! I truly cannot wait for my son to start. They even do themed days..which my daughter thinks is the best thing in the world. They do things like red sox day, princess and super hero day, and crazy hair day! They also offer dance and other classes. If you are looking for a daycare that's above and beyond look no further!! You will not be disappointed. read more

I enrolled my son in the infant room when returning to work after maternity leave, dec 2011. I was really open to this location. When visiting day cares in the area, this location appeared to be the most organized with strict rules and protocols for everything. Originally, this came across as something very comforting. However, after only four weeks, I learned that this is the only way they can keep any semblance of order. The rules are only a show. The teachers in the rooms are constantly turned over. There appears to be no set schedule, so we were constantly meeting new people and felt like no one was getting to learn our son's indiosyncrasies. In addition, the room was so chaotic. Every time I dropped him off or picked him up, at least one child was screaming or crying. Often times teachers were so busy they would just leave the child there to cry while they finished up what they were doing. Other babies were just propped up and left in odd positions all by themselves. No one was trying to stimulate them in any way. Though there was one fantastic teacher in the room I was in, I was appalled at the quality of most. Many of the women just appeared dirty. I mean, these are people I wouldn't give a second thought to if they were looking for a nanny position. One woman, in infant room B was so gross all her bottom teeth were rotting out. She reeked so severely of cigarette smoke that I couldn't be within 5 feet of her. Thankfully, when I met her 2 weeks in, I learned she was not in my son's room. One day, because there weren't enough teachers in his room for all the kids they asked me to move him into her room. I threw a fit, told the staff her working with infants is unacceptable and left. That was his last day. I am now 10 feet done the road at the Goddard school. You want a great daycare? Go there. read more

It's very very rare for me to right a review but I'm going to write a review for the sake of other parents with the children. The turnover for this daycare is unbelievable. My son was in the toodler 2 class and one of the main teachers was very dry and mean. I never got comfortable with my son there in their hands. Stacey Giancioppo I've tried to contact her for several weeks and it became months because she promise to make adjust for the center charging me for a whole month when my son wasn't there. She agreed it was crazy for me to be charged when my son wasn't present and she never got back to me. Katelyn also the Director is also very cold and rude . I would never recommend this center to any parent . It's the worst experience I've encontoured at a daycare. read more

I have a very similar story to the previous review. There was very little help getting started. Nothing was really explained, and when we asked we were told it "would be explained later" but that never happened. He's only been there two weeks and today was definitely his last day. Every time I went to pick him up kids were balling and yet being ignored, my sons things (all labeled with his name) were always spread out in like 4 or 5 other kids bins. Although the teachers assigned to the class my son was in seemed great, the class size was just too large for us. And most of the time those two teachers that we trusted were rarely the two that were actually in that room, there were always different people in there. My son was balling his eyes out in the bathroom stall with a teacher (that we didn't know) in there with him. Not at all like my son to behave that way. Needless to say, I would not recommend them either. read more

I am not surprised! My daughter have injury marks on her FACE 3 TIMES within 2 weeks and no one, absolutely no one stuff and teacher saw it until we as a parent saw it, one time was a scar that was 4 inches long, btw, it was documented. On top of that, no one seems to know what happen to her, all they said was my daughter is active. Which child is not??? Also, if you drop off your child before 9am and pick up after 5pm, the primary teacher is not there or left for the day, it took me over one week to find out how my daughter is doing in brushing her teeth. The staff kept giving me the run around that they don't know but will find out for me and the primary teacher lied that she got back to me, this is just a simple question. The stuffs have no idea what they are doing, they are NOT educated and they are more concern in your payments and checking in and out of the facility daily. Finally, ask them what they feed your child daily "CAN FOOD", it has no nutritional value and I pay $302.00 a week for my child to eat "CAN FOOD". GET OUT OF THAT PLACE ASAP, YOU ARE PUTTING YOUR CHILD AS RISK!!! read more
