I was initial told by my previous neurologist that I had pseudo tumor cerebri (that's the old term, I forget the new term for it), but none of the meds were working. I was very frustrated and depressed. Dr Djernes was kind, patient, and thorough. The first thing he did was send me to a doctor for pain management, he was the only one to ever address this issue, then to an eye specialist. He did more for me in the first two visits than the other 2 had done in 8 years, definitely glad I found him.

I first became a patient of Dr. Djernes one year ago. He was referred to me by another physician, thus I never questioned or researched my options. Dr. Djernes has a very quirky personality. He can come off a bit demeaning in his approach, but on the flipside he is really very good at explaining medical terms in everyday English. I do find him to be a bit nonchalant, which makes it hard to tell how concerned he really is for you as a patient. I tried to look for the positives, my husband however was frustrated with him from day one. His office staff is kind of hit and miss. When I first began going here, the front desk was helpful and friendly and the nurses were quick to respond to your needs and provide excellent follow up. For some reason, as of late I feel like things have gone downhill. I recently experienced a very very frustrating situation, which in my opinion was unacceptable and has left me feeling strongly that I should find a new neurologist. I had been working on getting a prescription transferred from one specialty pharmacy to another due to insurance changes. Dealing with insurance is a whole other can of worms....anyways when I finally felt I was getting close to approval (now out of meds and needing a prior auth from my physician) the ENTIRE office (minus one very unhelpful receptionist) went on vacation for one week. No backup physician for emergencies, no nurse, absolutely no one! I was shocked. And told to go to the ER if it was an emergency. Yes, because I am sure the ER is qualified to authorize a very expensive, specialty medication for an MS patient. When the office did return, I felt no sense of urgency to take care of my need. Needless to say, I was out of medication a total of 3 weeks. The most frustrating part is there was never an apology for leaving me hanging for so long. A neurologist is obviously kind of a big deal, if you need one. So I kind of feel like the patients should be too. I dunno maybe I am just high maintenance.....

I could not have had a better outcome, the surgery and follow up were outstanding, I was able to safely return to a normal, pain-free life. She is a highly skilled surgeon with a great bedside manner. At my first appointment Dr Bridges reviewed my MRI results with me, pointing out the pictures showing the source of my pain. and outlined the treatment options to correct the problem. She went over the surgical procedure she recommended, explaining the risks, the expected outcome, and what I could expect after the surgery. Dr Bridges fully explained the recovery and rehabilitation process and the timeline to full recovery. She listened to my questions and made sure I completely understood the surgery and what I could expect at every step of my recovery. In the end her skillful surgical repair of my spine not only relieved my pain but also improved my quality of life. I'll be forever grateful for the care I received from Dr Bridges. I also want to mention her staff and the staff at Treasure Valley Hospital who were professional and caring during office visits and my short hospitalization.

If you are an MS patient, this is not the doctor for you. I have heard he is very good with seizure…read moredisorders. I have gone round and round with his office over calling in medication, appointment availability, and more. The bottom line is I called when I was having MS symptoms (as directed by him) in February 2023. All I received was a message to "go get an MRI". I promptly got a brain MRI as ordered, then never heard anything else about it, so I didn't know what else to do. We had an appointment scheduled in June of 2023 where he told me I had a new lesion that could be affecting my right arm. I was never offered any treatment for the new lesion. He then changed me to a new medication (getting the office to follow through with arranging the medication was a whole other junk show). I addressed my concerns with Dr. Kisherney in September 2023 directly in person after several messages on "my chart". By the time I got to the appointment I had been without medication for almost six weeks, and still having symptoms. I switched to a new neurologist in October 2023, who immediately ordered a cervical MRI in addition to a brain and thoracic scan with contrast. Today the doctor confirmed I had many lesions on my spinal column that were causing my symptoms. By the time these lesions were discovered, it was too late to treat them with steroids. I place the blame firmly on Dr. Kisherney for not ordering a cervical MRI, not ensuring my medication was available in a timely fashion, and ignoring my concerns when the symptoms appeared in February 2023. Disappointed and disgusted is an understatement.

He agreed, but stated I would need a lengthy recovery time, to recover after he had performed procedure, which I was unable to do at the time. I had provided all the information required. Referral, reports, scans, etc, HE AGREED TO PERFORM SURGERY. I currently have the time to take off and have surgery performed. I called to schedule appoint, and was met with a roadblock. Receptionist informed me I would need a list of requirements, including all the information - already provided. (updated scan is understandable), the requiring EVERYTHING, I had already provided, is unreasonable and ridiculous. Rude staff, unhelpful, uncaring, when under most "normal" medical facilities, considered an established patient. Don't waste your time. There are multiple qualified Neurosurgeons, move on and seek treatment elsewhere.

I had three knee X-rays taken two weeks before this appointment and Dr. Adams refused to even look at them. He should have reviewed the X-rays before my appointment began. Instead of being completely unaware about anything concerning my reason for being there. I reminded Adams several times about the X-rays during the brief office visit. As Adams prepared to give me a knee injection, I insisted that he look at the X-rays first. Adams got mad about that and left the room saying it would take 15 minutes to get the X-rays. Why not look at available X-rays? That is what they are for. I had enough of TERRIBLE DOCTOR Adams and left the office. I will find another doctor. I urge everyone to find another doctor.
