We were just hoping to get him to a great rehabilitation facility and get him better enough to come home. We reached out to Brooke at this facility and she worked hard to find him an available bed and get it approved by insurance and Medicare. I started calling her on Monday, and by Monday afternoon she had gotten it all set up, including the required medical transport. She made it so easy and smooth. That was the beginning of our contact with the staff there, and every other interaction has been similar. Smart, capable people who want to make a difference. Since my dad has arrived here (and he's only been here for two days) he is already like a different person. He is clear-headed, eating better thanks to the wonderful food here. He's had a series of increasingly uncomfortable beds all summer; the first text he sent me after his first night here was: "Bed fabulous, slept great, breakfast incredible." I felt like that was the start of a new beginning for my dad. As far as facilities go, it's increible. The huge PT gym is full of brand-new, high-end equipment. There is speech therapy and occupational therapy in addition to PT. My dad is busy from 9A-11:30A and then from 1P-5:30P, all in the name of getting better. Two different doctors came to visit yesterday evening, in addition to a litany of nurses, therapists, aides, and techs. I can't remember the last time he had this many people checking on him, following up, and taking care of him. Honestly, it was probably in ICU. This place has set the bar for me, and for all my loved ones. I will now not be able to accept anything less. Thank you to Brooke for getting us in, and thank you to the entire team helping my dad get better. We are ready to have him home!

That list goes to: CM Jeffy, CM Wanda (Jeffy's boss), LaVonda, and rounding out the list is Stacie. Stacie is the CEO. I was told to call her with all of my concerns. I called and left voicemails for her 4x and have yet to hear back. When they want you to come to their facility everyone is so nice and so helpful. When they don't want you there, you're simply in their way. NO DISCHARGE PAPERWORK WAS PROVIDED OR REVIEWED WITH ME OR MY HUSBAND. NONE. I HAD NO IDEA WHEN HE LAST HAD ANY OF HIS MEDS. He takes over a dozen meds.

The long term care, skilled nursing and assisted living are in brand new buildings, built 4 years ago. The entire facility had wonderful renovations at the same time. Those renovations include the addition of a spa, bank, pharmacy, new fitness center, underground parking and much more. It is a beautiful facility with many different options for accommodations. The level of care in skilled nursing and long term is unparalleled in the Oklahoma region. My parents lived here until they died. They experienced many very caring and experienced CNA aides and nurses. In independent living, they have an agenda of activities much like a cruise ship. Their activities include ecumenic spiritual activities too. I highly recommend Epworth Villa, an Eden care facility. A huge bonus....they have "excellent" food in all levels of living and care!!

I feel like we are benefiting from the rewards of working hard all our lives. I wondered before we moved if I was too young to live in a retirement community. But I love it and happy I found a place close to family where I can spend the last chapter of my life without moving again. The meals are wonderful. The Pitzner landscape crew keeps the grounds immaculate. Grass mowed, snow shoveled and planting seasonal flowers and hanging Christmas Lights. Very friendly. The staff is courteous and quickly knows and greets you by name. The chef's cook delicious meals. Neighbors are friendly even though I only see their eyes and a mask. We have felt safe living here with all the Covid. They have been very cautious. Can hardly wait until this pandemic comes to an end so we can fully enjoy our new community and family can visit. Currently, I take part in outside community activities. Our Life Enrichment team also has a variety of activities scheduled on-site throughout the day. Touchmark supplies yard work, home maintenance, and weekly housekeeping. I just look at the menu at mealtime and decide what I want to eat. Our chef is wonderful. No more grocery shopping or cooking. The high school and college kids that serve us are like grandchildren you get to see every day. The health and fitness director will assess you and find an exercise class that will enhance your health. Friends gather and visit the Pub in the evenings. It is wonderful to know all my neighbors and live where we feel safe. Touchmark is a great place to spend this season of my life.

The new DON there Bethany Clearly has not had much experience running a long term care facility. She seems confused about things she should clearly be knowledgeable about. She seems like she is always trying to push the responsibilities of task off on other staff members. She has even come into work seen to be noticeably under the influence of a mind altering substance. She couldn't even walk down the hall without stumbling and slurring her words. This has happened on more than one occasion and nothing has been done. The administrator Jim has even refused to address the situation. I would seriously caution against putting your loved one in this long term care facility.

They kept the family up to date on her issues. During her last 4 days of life, they had someone with her in the room for 24 hours. Not only to minister to the family, but mostly to be sure that she didn't die alone. Everyone pitches in for these watch's from Chaplin's to Social Workers. They were a great comfort and have to continued to be there for the family if needed.

Not doing what she said she would do was bad enough, but also failed to offer any apologies-- I forgot, I am sorry, I delegated it to someone and they forgot. I was referred to someone that I did not know and made to believe it was acceptable and my fault that it was not done. My faith has been broken.
