Snow up to my waist, bitterly cold most days, but wonderful days spent at a fantastic school and in the beautiful countryside which surrounded the area. Sunday mornings and the trudge through the snow to a local church - I cannot remember which at either Stokenchurch or Beacons Bottom (not sure which). Afternoons off but, classes in the early evening, how strange was that? The best cross country route that I ever ran on, a great experience all round. Everyone associated with the place, premises and catering staff, teaching staff etc. all so helpful and accommodating. It must have been great to have attended in the better weather during a Spring or Summer term. Happy days, sorry to find out that it is now closed.

A top tier business school, Saïd has done an excellent job channeling the academic excellence of…read morethe University of Oxford into its business education. With a strong center for social entrepreneurship, access to Oxford scholars, and the history of Oxford University, Saïd has developed a unique mix. The MBA program is relatively young, compared to other top tier peers, but the specific programs repackage educational practices rooted in a long tradition of innovation and effectiveness. Oxford institutions, such as double blind marking, meld nicely with MBA standards like study groups and practical applications of learning. In full disclosure, I say this as someone who chose to study here, but these are the confirmations of my reasoning during the application process. Oxford is an amazing place, the program allows for extraordinary exposure to global business and varied cultures, and the brand is portable to any variety of things you may choose to use it for (management consulting, entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, academic pursuits, what have you.)

The lecture theatres are spacious and inviting (if confusingly identical) with handy power sockets under every desk for laptops, the cafeteria is very pleasant and there is even a gravelled garden in the centre of the building to use in the warmer weather. A friendly, non-stuffy work environment.
