On Saturday and Sunday they add on more great music, more great food trucks. Then you have your craft vendors of sorts and random events like the duck race on Sunday.

It was fun to watch the Duck Race- they dumped rubber duckies from the bridge!! There was live music over in one section (by the B-side) and you could sit at a table in the shade. After years of going to Springdale the farm could use some help. The fairy trail houses were fallen…read moreapart and there was so much goose poop it made it difficult to walk to the trails. An are with tractor and small duck pond which is all fenced in could really use some TLC. If I was younger I'd try to chip in somehow.

NOTE: The main reason I am currently giving Springdale Farm 3 stars is because when we visited a…read morelot of things were shut down due to Covid precautions. I do not fault the farm for that, but can't give a 100% full and accurate review until we are able to experience those things. As noted above we were unable to see the animals, which was really disappointing! But we understand why. We stopped at the office to check, and they were very friendly. They informed us that due to Covid the walking trail is the only thing that is open to visitors, so that is what we did. The farm itself is cute. The grass was groomed, there is a sign telling you what was where, and swinging benches were all over the place. We visited the greenhouse, but there wasn't much going on in there. You can buy plants and flowers. It looked like there was a sand table that kids could dig around in that is probably busy on better days. We walked the trail, scoped out the pond (watch that loose board!), and went into the woods. This is where it got interesting, because I had no idea it was lined with "fairy houses"! My daughter was elated about this, and we checked out every single one. There were also signs with cool nature factoids, like what prints certain animals make, and how to tell how old a tree may be. There is a really nice pavilion just outside of the farm entrance, and a playground there too. Another fun thing we discovered by the playground was a Little Library! This place has great reviews overall, and I believe them. I think that we'd really love it once we are able to experience all that it has to offer. I still recommend it now if you are looking for a fun and easy trail to walk. Especially if you have kids! And it is right around the corner from other trails and fun playgrounds to explore, too. We will definitely come back and try again when Covid precautions are lifted! :)
