Looking back, I wish I had read yelp reviews shared by others. There is no expiration date for this one, trust me. If you are reading this now, you probably have a pretty good player and trying to get him on the team... One of the most concerning aspects is the lack of attention and feedback provided by the coaches. It is disheartening to see that they have never taken the time to provide constructive criticism or guidance to the players or their parents. This lack of communication hinders the growth and improvement of the young athletes and leaves them feeling unsupported and undervalued. Moreover, when I tried to talk to the coach after the game myself, he did not even stopped for a minute! Basically families are paying a substantial amount of money for a program that neglects to prioritize the development and well-being of the players. Neither they work on building the team, except very generic routines. No wonder team was loosing game after game, check games changer and PST ratings, they mostly survive on already good players. Another issue is the unfair opportunities given to players. It is demoralizing for the kids who consistently find themselves on the bench while others receive more playing time, regardless of their skill level or effort. This unequal treatment not only negatively impacts their self-esteem but also affects their on-field performance. This kids will spend 2 games in a raw in dog out thinking of the reason they don't deserve to play, or if giving a chance will try to impress the coach so badly, they most likely fail on bating or fielding. The combination of these factors - the lack of attention and feedback from coaches, the high cost of the program, and the unfair playing time distribution - creates an environment that is far from ideal for young athletes. When I asked my son if he still likes baseball, he said he loves it but not huskies. I strongly caution anyone considering joining this team to take into account the negative reviews, the lack of attention and feedback, the unfair opportunities, and the financial cost. All show, no go. Plenty of "we are the best", but failure to follow through. The summer camps are a joke (think baseball daycare). All of the other reviews valve it correct: Brad makes an appearance, then his son and slacker buddies have the kids play wiffle ball. Winter camps are a little better. But most of the "select" teams are pathetic. Scrambling to get 12 kids to even accept an invitation. Settling for warm bodies (talent not required). But Brad will happily take the parents money and call it a team. Just a money grab, like their fundraiser. Don't walk away from this "program".....RUN. read more

My son (6y old) was sent home the second day of camp for hitting someone. While I understand hitting is not ok, this also left us parents with no child care for the week and no refund. My son has been in camps all summer and we did not have a situation like this before. 20 plus kids, two coaches, zero tolerance. I would rather pay more for a camp and not have to deal with this. Brad is a great instructor and my son loves his camps and playing on his 9U team. He has exactly the right approach: positive, consistent and thoughtful. Demonstrating a winning attitude while focusing on holistic development. We have been sending out son to his camps and practices for almost a year, and it has been a great experience. Yep, folks, this is solid 2 star. There is a reson they have 2 star yelp. I tried 2 times of their summer camp. The first time was decent. Second time just before summer camp started they changed the field location which was inconvenient for our driving. They won't refund, so basically no option for us but to go for this. The camp got cancelled due to some smog and i dont think they will ever refund the money. I wont try this place ever. read more

My son attended the summer camp at Redmond School. It was from Mon-Fri 10am-4pm. My son loved going every day and loved the coaching he received from Brad and Troy. Excellent coaches and high energy and engaged. One of the other highlights for my son was the baseball cards. Came home with a pack every. Lots of good old school card trading on breaks. My son will definitely be back. read more

I signed my son up for Brad's summer baseball camp a year ago because according my to his website it sounds like a solid program. When we showed up, his son was there along with another younger guy and they announced that they would be leading the camp all week long. Brad showed up in the morning to collect checks from people and left. Never ONCE did he come instruct the kids or participate in the camp. The camp was not professional at all. At the end of camp my son forgot his two bats and I did not realize until we got home. I emailed and called Brad Peterson just for him to get back to me days later and say there was no bats left behind. I know for sure my son left his bats. Stealing from kids is just wrong and leaves a bad taste in my mouth. In my opinion, he is using his past experiences and name to promote a crappy baseball program. I would NEVER recommend this baseball "academy". read more

Brad Peterson is a complete scammer. We had our son go to his summer camp which was a joke then he said that he wanted him on his 8-9U select team. My son is a top level 9U player on the Stods Cobras now, Brad never deserved him. We actually paid the fee and had him play thru 1 tournament which they lost every game horribly because of poor coaching. He literally had 2 brothers 18 and 20 years old with no coaching experience leading the team. Nice kids but they had no idea how to coach and Brad never came by to help. Everything he states on his website is a complete lie. He is like a car salesman using kids to make money. He seems to know very little about baseball and his son is even worse. Run away from this program, it is the worst of the worst when it comes to select baseball programs. Your kid will actually become a lesser player if they are in this system. It's a pay to play program, not a select program at all. read more

I have had a similarly negative experience trying to get a refund from Brad Peterson Baseball. I would NOT recommend this camp to anyone! I have emailed called and texted at least 10 times, and when I did reach Brad on the phone he asked me to email him. NO RESPONSE AND NO REFUND!!! read more

This camp was an extreme waste of money. I would advise anyone thinking of sending your child or children, NOT to do so. We sent our son to the camp and we were excited about what was promised by the website. After 2 days of camp, it was obvious that nothing promised was going to be fulfilled. I e-mailed Brad to let him know our concerns, with no reply. I e-mailed agin after the 3rd day was even worse and still no reply. Bottom line is my son received no advanced baseball skills training and was unable to advance his skill in this camp. Not to mention was treated poorly by the coaches after they realized that we were unhappy with the camp. I e-mailed Brad a final time after the camp concluded and, of course, NO REPLY. Please do not waste your time or money! We were looking for a fun and instructional baseball camp for my son. This was so unorganized and unsafe. I stayed to watch the whole week because I did not feel at all comfortable leaving my son unattended. Brad and his son were supposed to be the instructor for this camp. Brad's son and a friend were the actual instructors. They were late everyday. They paid more attention to their phones than to the campers. The campers were out of control. They were bored and left to their own devices. Brad showed up on one day to secure payment from a couple of families, but then did not show up again. This camp was Unsafe, Unorganized and a complete waste of time. When I complained, I was met with excuses and eye rolls. These are not the qualities I want my highly motivated son to be around. read more

My 11 year old was very disappointed in this camp. He had just gotten into baseball and completed another camp and was eager to learn more. He said that all they did on Day 1 was throw the ball around. He didn't receive much instruction and found it very boring. Brad Peterson showed up on the first day but seemed to only care about the kids trying out for his team. I talked my son into going back the next day and since he still didn't have any fun, I told him he didn't have to go back. read more

I am extremely disappointed in the Brad Peterson camp. After reading the description of camp on his site, we thought this would be a great learning opportunity for my 10year old son. Unfortunately, this was not the case. My son attended the first day at camp while my husband stayed for the day to watch. My husband was highly disappointed with the structure of camp. On the first and only day my son attended he and the other kids threw the ball around to each other. Played one game with all the kids who attended. There was no expert teaching per their website and only one drill done throughout the day. The kids ages ranged from 6-12 and unfortunately all the kids with no experience and more experience were all kept together throughout the day. My husband spoke with the instructor before he left and was told it would be better tomorrow. After thinking about it, we decided that the camp was not a good fit. We didn't expect much but was hoping that there was some sort of structure where our son would learn some great skills. My husband contacted Brad and when they spoke Brad was very unprofessional yelling and making excuses about the camp. We wanted to give him constructive criticism to possibly help but unfortunately that was not the case. We wanted him to listen to our concerns and address them with We will never be involved in anything that has to do with Brad Peterson baseball ever again. read more

After reading previous posts I was a bit concerned about the camp. I did not have the same experience as other posters. My Son had a great time, learned new skills ( advanced). He loved the interaction with the coaches and the kids. The baseball trading cards were a hit. I did not have any issues with emails I sent Brad prior to camp. He was friendly during camp and engaging with the kids. Probably camp dynamics makes a difference as my child was playing with other kids at his level. If you were a younger player probably would have been a harder camp as it was more advanced due to the make up of the kids. So no camp will meet all needs. I would sign him up again. But a late season camp as I think that might be the difference as most kids playing in all- stars and tournament teams finish so this is really the only time for a camp. read more

After reading Brad's baseball camp description on his website we thought it would be a great camp for our son to better his skills in baseball. We were SO wrong! Brad was present only the first day of camp and only long enough to take role and read the rules. He had two college boys run the camp the rest of the time. On his website he stated the camps were for kids from ages 6-12 which he did not make clear that they would all be in the same camp and drills. How can an older experienced baseball player improve skills and get "advanced" training when they are working with 6 yr olds that had never played baseball and in fact were playing in the dirt. They can't! We contacted Brad several times by email to which he replied once that the enrollment for this camp was "unusual" and he guaranteed our older boys would still get great advanced training. They continued to play little kid games throughout the week and skills that were promised on his website were never touched. Brad has yet to reply to 4 more emails from different parents nor has he offered any kind of refund of any kind. Bottom line, if you're looking for a baseball camp that runs like a daycare and doesn't teach baseball skills, this is it. If you want skilled training and for your child to actually get something out of a camp, there are plenty of camps out there that stand by the description of their camp and don't cheat people of $225! read more

If your looking for a 5day outdoor daycare camp this is the place to be. If your looking for instructional baseball, pitching,hitting,infield & outfield play,bunting & base running (as stated on the website) this is NOT the place to be! After day 2 of our 3 11 yr olds getting frustrated with the younger kids running around,digging in the dirt & picking flowers, we spoke to the "coaches" who assured us the older boys would have separate training drills. I guess you could say they did if you consider 45 minutes out of a 6 hr camp adequate training & the other time spent with kids with absolutely no skills. I don't consider that adequate. After 2 emails sent asking for some help with this situation or lack of following what there website offered, we received NOTHING BACK, NO RESPONSE? Is that how you run your business Brad? When asked what could be done about this you don't answer? On the last day my son was frustrated & grumpy (& I agree that's not ok either) but how do the "coaches" decide to handle the situation. By "jokingly" giving my son an unpleasant & humiliating nickname that than the other kids started calling him. Is this part of the " mental dynamics package" that is offered? I call it wrong & hurtful, maybe even bullying? Lastly we sent a 3rd email on Friday after camp was over & again heard nothing? Great way to run a business, NOT! I'll end this with saying be careful if you sign up for this camp & are expecting baseball skills being improved, don't! If your looking for a outdoor daycare setting & your child is just starting out in baseball this is the camp for you. This is my first and only comment on Yelp. I'm taking the time to share what experience our son had with Brad Peterson and his son Troy. This program is strictly a money making business. They do know baseball and the fundamentals, but that's about it. They do not offer any batting cage time as they don't have a regular facility that offers any indoor training, especially during the rain seasons. They start a winter training camp at an inside facilities called FM Sports in Redmond. After the winter camp ends at the end of February, then all practices are held outside at a local baseball fields, at that point it is up to you to pay for batting cage time at one of the east side facilities, I.e. Stodds in Newport Hills or the Old Ballyard on 140th & Northup way. If it's raining out on a scheduled practice night, then practice is cancelled, with no make up days due to a limited amount of fields available in the Bellevue area. The practices are held during the week and held outside, keep in mind that Troy was the only coach for this team , so you can imagine what sort of practices he ran being the only coach. There were a total of 14 kids on this team, that left 5 kids on the bench at any given time. At $2,500 per kid, that net them $35,000 for one team! Out of the 5 kids sitting on the bench, there were several games where some kids didn't play at all. Troy who is Brads son, coached this team. Although his resume indicates he played college baseball at Green River College, he did not complete his first year and never played again. Troy did not set very good examples for the kids at all, in fact he was tossed out of a game for yelling and arguing with the umpires. So before you spend $2,500 on this program, look around, there are several more Eastside select programs with full indoor/outdoor facilities, two to three coaches per team for the same cost. The kids didn't even get to keep their jerseys or warm-up coats. The kids are issued used jerseys, used coats and used batt bags at the beginning of the season . Oh, and they don't tell you this until after the season is over and they require you to turn everything in. One would think for $2,500, you would get a uniform with the kids name on it that they can keep and wear with pride, just like they did in Little League There is a reason why Brad Peterson applied and did not get the head baseball coaching job over at Interlake HS this last year when the position was open, just saying.. read more
